i recently read that youtube plans to delete inactive accounts of 2 years which is scary so many old videos lost it seems like a crazy task to download all these videos but it is not cut out the mr beasts and the lame shill tech reviews and the carbon copy videos and just get all the good ones maybe even archive all the videos with less than 5k views we need not only a list of videos but an effective way to archive them then when this is sufficent we torrent the content so it can live on forerver what do you think kiwis?

Buy a big external HDD if you don't already have one and back up everything you care about yourself. Never rely on other people to backup stuff for you. You never know if you're the only guy to have snagged a video before it went down.

thats true but im talking we get a list people on the farms make it so many people can download it and torrent it my internet is slow and i could not archive it very fast

External harddrive storage (5400RPM/3.5'') typically costs around 50gb/1$,there is really no reason to resort to torrenting or cloud storage unless you intend to share it with a large group of people.

Needeless to say,you can use the media stored on the external HHD to later create a torrent if you wish yo share it.

You're on the right track, but torrents do display your IP address, and KF is so privacy-focused that anything torrent-related gets us into a dodgy zone.

I've got a pretty extensive number of random YouTube videos I like already archived, I've considered just generating a list of them and uploading them to anonfiles if anyone has any requests.

If you're on Windows, you can generate a list of files in a folders from the command line by just navigating to the folder you want to list, and typing "dir > list.txt".

interesting if you use a VPN do you have to keep it connect for the whole process to host the torrent or just when you upload it then turn it off i know people get hit with threats and things for torrenting and with this site i know some troons will try to DDOS the ips

They said that it wouldn't affect YouTube videos:

Regardless, if you see something you really like, you must archive.
To be precise, Google updated the post to read, “We do not have plans to delete accounts with YouTube videos at this time.
They're still doing it, just not as soon as they wanted to. It'll still affect Google Drive.
for content within the Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar) and Google Photos, the deletion process will not begin until December 2023.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, owner Elon Musk also recently announced plans to purge dormant accounts. These potentially changing policies across tech companies serve as a valuable reminder: Back up your meaningful data.

People are willing to decide what time they want to spend archiving how much they want to archive due to there being such an abundance. They would eventually try to amp up technology to catch up with the ever increasingly supply of things that would eventually be lost which has also led to people archiving things they have no idea existed.

Though this picture may seem insignificant to many. There are also many (including myself) who have fell in love with this picture and would go into an existential crisis in not being able to find a work like this again. The person who archived it before the artist deleted it is probably completely unaware of the existence of the artwork.

It's pretty easy to draw (even someone with Alzheimer's can draw it) but she's so overwhelmingly cute. Character designs in Anime isn't actually straightforward to fuck up but so many do it. Caspar David Friedrich and John Martin's painting's on the other hand are extremely hard to replicate and I absolutely love how most their works were preserved centuries later. Those are the best.

i want to bump this thread to ask for help does somebody have a way to archive all of these early 2000s lyric videos for songs they are so kino and i would hate to lose them is there a way to sort by oldest videos with a certain cutoff date to archive them all
