The NewPipe Extractor is very similar so it shouldn't be too hard for the community to fix since we'd just have to emulate whatever the NewPipe extractor is doing. https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipeExtractor

YouTube-DL supports, like, five million different sites to download from. The only thing that comes close is JDownloader.

Didn't they try something like that years ago with DVDs, they didn't want people to make themselves a spare copy? These are really people who have nothing better to do.
