The war on archiving is real.

Then again, github is shit anyways and it's retarded of the RIAA to think that getting rid of their GitHub means getting rid of the source code. Nearly all loonix distros have youtube-dl on their repos anyway.

fuck this gay earth.

So are they going to get wget and curl taken down too? How about every FTP client ever? Might as well revoke the whole RFC 959 while they’re at it.

Fuck the music industry and all of it's manufactured shit waves along with it's performers.

That fucking industry is responsible for so much damage to the internet and so many stupid laws it's incomprehensible how much I despise them, they can't fade into complete irrelevancy fast enough.

Too bad there will always be semi talented schmucks (or semi good looking thots) willing to sign slave contracts and make them money.

The day the entire entertainment and music industries crumble into bankrupt dust will be beautiful.

so the RIA "of America" is quoting a German court and going against a source code that, if not compiled, does not circumvent or violate anything?

Oh and for Android I'll just mention YouTube Vanced and NewPipe just in case.

So just another thing, so there is a video on YT put there on YT by the copyright owner and the copyright owner doesn't want people to have a recording for themselves of the video that they were watching lawfully and "paid for" by accessing YT and giving YT some of their personal information? where does that make sense?

so maybe the source code will change and say "if you own the copyright, test it with these videos"

Didn't they try something like that years ago with DVDs, they didn't want people to make themselves a spare copy? These are really people who have nothing better to do.
