I still have my Beanie Babies from middle school and high school. They’re in clear Sterilite containers in my closet because someone thought they were creepy out in the open.

They’re so cute and soft and I love the way the pellet filling feels when you hold them. Pure autistic bliss.

Beanie Babies are cool, I still have an Ostrich one that I got at a flea market as a kid.

I bought the angry octopus. He shall live on my desk. Also bought a friend the one that's enraged on one side and sleeping on the other. They wake up pretty pissed off even on a good day. Another friend wants one.

I am now the crazy reversible octopus lady and I only have one. Send help.

I got a fat phoenix at Dragoncon

Would post a pic but tor is being a h8er

This just got here today and I love it.

Man I love this thread so so much, so comfy !

I have a passion for collecting sea animals plushies : from crabs, lobster to sharks but I recently saw this little rain frog from the brand Jellycat and he was so ugly/cute I couldn't resist...He even has an official name (Ricky) !

Also posting from my phone, apologies if the picture is screwed :( View attachment 3714542

My children literally take every stuffed animal I own for themselves unless I remember to keep said stuffies out of their reach.

However, my two favorite stuffies are a Build a Bear dragon that my boyfriend got for me when I was going through a health crisis, and a zombie plush with thin black hair that he got for me during our first Halloween.

My oldest child took all of my mini Ty stuffies, which I was able to accept, until she took my Mac n Cheese plush from Hot Topic to her dad's house and never brought it back.

Moral of the story, if you want to keep your stuffies safe, don't have kids.

Yesterday I saw these squishables at a Barnes & Noble. I had spent enough money that day and I didn't see a price tag on them, but if I remember to the next month I go, I might pick one up if they're still there.

I have two, one is a gorilla that my mum owned before she gave it to me when I was a toddler, it’s sat on the shelf in my back room now. The other is a panther that I won at a fairground water pistol game when I was 7 or 8, it currently makes for an excellent doorstop in my bedroom.

Had to go run errands today, so I swung by and grabbed myself one of the white ones (the males were all gone).

I have a bear from the fancy mall. He's wearing a very cute sweater and the stitching on his foot says he is from 1989. I got him from a second-hand store with my ex. We broke up over a year ago and the bear is still in my room but I just get sad when I really focus on him because the ex and I used to make cutesy growling noises for him. I left the adorable walrus and hamster with her. They both also had names and voices (the hamster was the only one who spoke in human language and let me tell you he was a delightful nuisance). I knew if I still had them I would just get sadder and sadder. It's weird because the relationship had a lot of problems and I'm genuinely much happier without her but goddamn if these stuffed animals don't make me nostalgic and sad. I wonder if she still looks at or plays with them...

That describes a common element of my relationship with childhood objects (though none of the animals mentioned above were from childhood). When I look at or think about old toys, I'm struck by powerful feelings of sadness and wistfulness. All the more strange because my early childhood was quite happy and I'm happy these days as well.

How much was she?

I just got this guy in the mail, 2 days after I ordered him with standard shipping. I got him so quickly because they ended up shipping him from the Build A Bear store closest to my house. It’s perfect because it’s the first chilly, fall night here, and I have a new ghost hunting video to watch in the dark. It’s a Jack Skellington teddy bear, by the way, in case no one else can tell. Didn’t find out that they had a Zero one until it was sold out.
