*Que Ken Burns documentary music*

Oh, that Chris Chan guy? I remember that. I started seeing his fat ass pop up every now and then on the chans back in aught-seven, but he disappeared quick enough with the flood of other lol cows and memes.

Then there was that November, oh, I remember it was cold, really cold, and I was cruising online and stumbled onto a post about Chris, then found the Wikipedia. The GameStop assault was like Chris' nod that I had done right.

After that, his antics, and just... himself, his behavior... it's sucked me in.

My first exposure to Chris was a Creepypasta called Branchland. It was set after the time he had burnt his house down. Afterwards, I looked up what a sonichu was and i remember looking at those drawings and thinking, how many sonic recolors can this little kid come up with? I should have walked away then but it was too late. As soon as i found chris wasn't nine but in his 30s, i knew i had fallen down the rabbit hole and wouldn't be coming back.

My first exposure was on Know Your Meme. There was a trending article on a o.c. named Christ-Chan and there was a disclaimer that said "not to be confused with Chris Chan" and you can guess the rest.

I had heard the name "Chris-chan" as early as 2008, but thinking it was just some random autistic guy rambling in front of his camera, I hadn't followed up on it until Sachumo's documentary came out early last year.

It was entirely by accident over this winter holiday. I was looking for papers on homotopy, but mistyped my google query and came across the term lolcow in one of the search results, which I had never seen before.

Curious, I went looking for the definition. And here we are, staring past the abyss into the face of the power and the glory. I would have been spared had it not been for the tragic flaw in my character, a persistent fascination with the abomination.

And now I can't separate her image from the central scarecrow gyrating on the cross in Bowie's swan song video, Blackstar.

A guy named Dr. Sparkle does a gaming video series called Chrontendo (and Chronsega...Chronturbo...) that I enjoy so I followed him on the Twitter. Shortly after the Gamestop: Don't Call Anybody! incident he tweets something along the lines of "poor Chris Chan, what did you do now?" and out of curiosity I Googled 'Chris Chan' and down the rabbit hole I went.

My first exposure was on this autism forum (No Not wrong Planet) and someone mentioned CWC and i was amazed yet horrified at the first video i saw was a compliation of his antics

This was About January 2011

I was watching a DSP Tries It video (one of the ones made by the "haters") when I read a comment comparing Phil to this Chris Chan person. Curious, I looked him up on Google, found the Cwcipedia, and read up on him and his funny/disturbing misadventures. Since then, Chris has been my most favorite Lolcow alongside DSP.

My first exposition to Chris was actually a facebook comment saying that the guy in a meme looked like Chris-Chan.I was curious to see who the hell he was,so i ended up on ED and the CWCKI and started reading about him, telling myself that someone like that cannot exist .It's also on that day that i discovered what a lolcow was.

I had some how come across that crazy vegan woman Katherine Marion and was doing some internet searching about her, reading up, having a good laugh.
One of my Google searches landed on this site, I read up as much as I could about her, then discovered Chris.
And the rest as they say is Christory.

Seriously, if you haven't heard of Katherine Marion have a read. Think your family is dysfunctional? They haven't got anything on this lady and her poor kid.

I was browsing 1d4chan and some random article made a reference to Chris (I think along the lines of "Don't do this or you'll fail as hard as [this guy]") with a link to the CWCki. So I started browsing that instead and... it just never stopped. Every time I thought I had found the most ridiculous thing, I could just click on a link and something even more ridiculous would fill the screen, documented with such great care and dedication...

I was doing some research on which age people tend to lose their virginity, and I stumbled on the Virgin with Rage page on the Cwcki. Let's just say I was hooked.

Back during my blogging days (probably 2009?), I knew someone who called Sonichu her guilty pleasure so I went to check it out, found the Cwcki, and fell down the rabbit hole of unending autism. I spent hours just gaping at the thing, it's like finding autistic Jesus in a car wreck. You want to look away but you just can't.

I read a "worst webcomics ever" list on Cracked (I got over Cracked about a year ago, THANKFULLY) and someone in the comments was baffled that Sonichu was not included on the list.

So I looked up Sonichu and found a reading on youtube.

And my adventure began.

Awkward Zombie had a thread on Sonichu where they mocked him.

My friend introduced me to sonichu about a year ago ( I wrote this before but the way I wrote it made it seem like I actually met Chris. Oops... ). I started watching his YouTube vids and eventually found this place.

I was looking up why autistic people love sonic so much I found an Escapist forum about it. I can't find it now but in it they ask the correlation between them and someone criticized the fanbase and "Chris-chan". Another one got angry thinking that was some slur to Christians. I did not know what they meant and so I google it and found the ED page and eventually found my way here.
