The article's creepier to me than the act. This author seems way too into this description.
 
I'm still uncertain what people hope to accomplish with articles like this because the majority of the population will never, ever, accept paedophilia.
 
so there's actually a group for "support" that says it may not be a bad thing to hurt children? and they're presented as a group to help these people?

my mind is blown that anyone can think messing with kids sexually is not harmful, my mind is wrecked knowing that one of the groups trying to(supposedly) stop these people from messing with kids thinks that.

Agreed. It's probably because both people are now more opened about their sexuality and the internet being used as medium for them to express that.

Also, If I remember correctly, didn't both Salon and Alternet post an article by a pedophile, which I think try to humanize pedophilia with his article. I'm not surprised leftist and progressive minded websites would be more inclined to publish content like this.
 
Salon published a whole series of articles by "virtuous" pedophile Todd Nickerson in 2015, but they recently purged them from the site when they decided to write articles calling Milo Yiannopolous a pedophile instead.

It's like transsexualism got tolerated faster than they were expecting and they need to latch unto something new to push forward as the next Big Societal Issue.

The worst part about the Cracked article was at least the Huffington Post and Salon articles had people going "nah fuck off pedo" in the comments section. I read the cracked article and probably 65-75% of the comments were cucks saying stuff like "wow I can't believe I was so bigoted before thank you for opening my eyes!"
 
The thing that pisses me off the most about articles like this is that there are some valid points amidst the bullshit. Yes, we need to be more proactive when it comes to stopping child sex abuse. Yes, we need to find ways to incentivize pedophiles to get psychiatric help before they scar a child for life. These are important issues that need to be talked about and not many people would argue against those points.

But then they get put in stories about "wah wah feel bad for this sick fuck who gets off to 18 month olds getting pissed and shat on," and the whole conversation is derailed.

Jamal really wants to stick up this elderly woman for her cash to buy the newest Jordan's. He doesn't have a hotline or a father figure to tell him this is wrong.

This was actually one of the rare instances when sjws bothered trying to cover up their own naked hypocrisy. When it became politically convenient to smear Milo as a pedo Salon and the Huffington Post deleted all their pro pedo articles. Now that no one gives a shit about Milo we're seeing a resurgence of pedo support.

Actually, groups like NAMBLA and Heart Progress have been trying to join major LBGT communities, and march in Pride parades. They've basically been told to go fuck themselves. There are a few sympathizers on the fringe, (think Harry Hay), but most of the gay community thinks they're scum.

I hope you're right, but do recall that the group that was most vociferous at excluding NAMBLA and friends back then were lesbians of the Muh Mighty Vagina variety, though, the sort that would probably be termed TERFs nowadays. And TERFs, for better or ill, are by and large pariahs in 2017.
