NightDive could remaster FO3, or at least I hope they're in charge of it since they seem to have a good record at remastering games.Real talk, how the fuck are they going to remaster Fallout 3? Made custom HD textures? Modders have been doing this for the past decade for FREE.... Transplant the entire game onto F4 engine? Lol, fuck no, that would require some effort, which is why i'm pretty positive there is already a modding group, working on this project as we speak, also for FREE..... I want to say it's crazy but i'm pretty sure all this consumer cattle would love nothing more, then the possibility to play the same shit on modern consoles, in (maybe) 60 FPS and with "better" graphics, paying the full price again (i can easily imagine console version priced at 60-70 eddies)
And thank God for that.Steam deck is a computer, not a console.
I'd say Musk, solely because if he's willing to burn that much money on buying Twitter, in what I'm still calling the Worlds Most Expensive Shitpost, he's probably retarded enough to throw his hat into console gaming. His orbiter's would make Xbox Fanboys and Sony Shills look tame in comparison, which would be more content to laugh at...If/When Microsoft bow out of the console race, which American tech giant will/should take their place?

I've got one guy at work who insists that GamePass is the greatest thing since sliced bread - which I'll admit it's a steal of a service from the consumer side - but the second anyone brings up how it's losing them money he goes full Defence Mode and starts shitting on Playstation - which fair, they deserve it - for not doing similar.People praise gamepass, and it’s a neat idea for sure, but outside of Xbox owned games, everything on there is several years out of date and the majority of people already played them. And it’s done nothing but lose money.
"surely one of these would sell" -- Phil Spencer, probably.Their strategy is nonsense. They don't know talent and they let good talent and good franchises die. Where's wasteland 4? A conker remake? Viva Pinata sequel? And to think they will soon own Diablo, COD and Overwatch? Why? Doom, Halo and CoD all competing for the same space is pencils-up-nose, wubble, levels of retarded.
I think that the Switch and Breath of the Wild made them so much money that they had to come up with new ways to spend it, so it seems likely.wasn't here the old story of how Nintendo has enough money saved up that they could just stop producing anything and probably outlive us all, or was that just one of the old Internet Myths people insist is true?
What's sad is I know I remember hearing about it coming out; but outside of maybe a day of "this game Redfall came out," I couldn't tell you anything about it. I know I heard of it, but that's about it.Damn. I'm late to this thread, but it must be a pretty bleak state when Redfall is your "big launch".
It's not my platform of choice so I'm out of touch with it, but the problem is Microsoft went to the extreme retardation with marketing that people used to talk shit on Nintendo with. Oh, the Wii U huh, well that's gonna fucking confuse parents. Is their a new xbox type out every goddam week or am I just an old fart thats out of touch....probably the second.
The Xbox naming conventions are retarded. The Xbox 360 was called that because calling it Xbox 2 when PlayStation 3 was coming out made it sound like old news. For the Xbox One, Microsoft thought that by calling it Xbox One, that people would just call it “The One,” an implication that PlayStation 4 was not the one and therefore some other backup or tertiary console. Now Microsoft has to call their new Xboxes all kinds of retarded names because in terms of numbering conventions, they’ll always be one behind the PlayStation. Considering how they skipped Windows 9, they should just call it the Xbox 6 and be done with it.It's not my platform of choice so I'm out of touch with it, but the problem is Microsoft went to the extreme retardation with marketing that people used to talk shit on Nintendo with. Meanwhile...

XBOX 360
XBOX One, not the Original XBOX, but XBOX One
Now it's XBOX Series S, X, and God knows what else, and I have no fucking clue what either one is.
Yeah Microsoft's naming scheme at it's finest. It's not my platform of choice so I'm out of touch with it, but the problem is Microsoft went to the extreme retardation with marketing that people used to talk shit on Nintendo with. Oh, the Wii U huh, well that's gonna fucking confuse parents.

I had an interview question like this; was a bit of a throw away, but was "How many versions of Windows can you name, in order."If I tell you the following Windows versions: 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11, how many can you precisely describe, what they were, when they were released and how they were.
They'd have to do it. Wanting to buy another company isn't actionable - since you usually have to go through an antitrust review for that when you do it.If microsoft doesn't get trustbusted now, after revealing plans to acquire nintendo in the suit about acquiring activision, they never will.
And then the Xbox One S, which was a weaker Xbox One without a BluRay drive.
One S is not cloud only, it was the slim refresh to match the release of the One X, it added HDR and a 4k Blu-ray player and slightly improved performance over the base Xbone. The cloud only bullshit is new with the 'series' series of consoles.Third gen cloud only: Xbox One S
Well I suffer from terminal autism so I can name almost all versions and rough explanations of what they've brought.I had an interview question like this; was a bit of a throw away, but was "How many versions of Windows can you name, in order."
I started with 3.1, 95, then 97... or was it 98... then 2000, no Millenial Edition or... which one came first... then XP, Vista, which was absolute trash, 8, 8.1 which added conventional desktop utility to 8, and now 10 (11 wasn't even a thing yet). The guys sitting across from me were laughing and gave me a "pretty good," because yeah, it's that fucking bad.
None, and if any do they will purchase the Xbox brand from MS to continue on with Xbox, the only company dumb enough to try out of that list is Apple. You got to remember that you can't just make a new console, you have to work out what the specs are going to be and most importantly, what software it runs on. The only company that has the latter established well enough is Apple, and they technically have dived into gaming with the Apple TV, but it's pretty basic and nothing compared to the PS or Xbox. Apple is also making their own proton-like compatibility layer for their ARM processors as well, so it does put them in a better position to enter the gaming market. But Apple seems to be focused right now on making the Mac able to run PC games the way you can run them now on Linux. If they do that successfully, it makes their ARM chips a powerhouse that could definitely see the Apple TV benefit (at least with casual/older titles, BYO controller lol).If/When Microsoft bow out of the console race, which American tech giant will/should take their place?
