Honestly, I'd love to see CoD go into alternate history scenarios and try and do wild shit. I still maintain that Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare are severely underrated. Everyone hated them because of the jetpacks, and I actually liked them because of the change in direction. Going into the far future that Infinite went into seemed to be the natural progression, but no, the "boots on the ground" / realistic faggots kept fucking around and killing any kind of creativity from the series.

Frankly, I can't believe it took a thirty-something Indian woman to say "This is a game system, we don't need to duct tape an AI assistant to it". Maybe she really is the most qualified to run Xbox within that den of idiots.
I don't believe it, I think MS was planning to do this with whoever took over after Phil just to make them look good, these changes are coming too quick for me to think otherwise.

Infinite Warfare was the best single player COD in years. Hell I even enjoyed Black Ops 3 and its coop mode even though you have to be high as a kite to understand the fucked up story.

Infinite Warfare also had that specialist mode where you need to rely on stim packs and armor to repair damaged limbs. That was a great addition and totally changed the dynamic of the game.

Holy fuck I hate the Xbox Series controllers. My default one went out a few years ago, so I bought a third party one with better features including gyro and RGB lights on it. Today it starts going out in the middle of playing.

I kept unplugging it from the console and plugging it back in, which worked for a while. Then it starts going out again and won't quit, even when unplugging and plugging it back in.

I got so mad that I threw the controller on the floor and shattered it. I feel bad for ruining it, but I'm frustrated by it's bad build quality, and I have to waste money on another one.

Ironically, Xbox controllers right now seem to be the best ones from all the major console manufacturers.

Gee, I wonder why Steam is so popular nowadays.
The new Steam Controller looks interesting. Too bad it only works with Steam.

I found a few Turtle Beach Xbox controllers that only cost $30-$40, look cool, have good rumble and triggers, have a mic plug in, and have all the buttons that 1st party Xbox controllers have.

3. Free online
Not going to happen. The subscription fee pays for upkeep of Xbox Live. Even so, console paywalls for online services have been standardized since Xbox Live's founding. I also believe that MS makes some of its revenue from subscriptions.

And before you say, how come STEAM's online is free? Developers have to upkeep their own servers for their games. Moreover, PC gaming is more open source than consoles.

Steamworks (provided to all devs at no additional cost beyond what they already pay for general store access) provides client-server architecture matchmaking and game hosting. They just have to plug it in to use it.

Xbox Live upkeep costs are negligible. Literally a margin-of-error blip on their cost graph. They spend more on raw bandwidth running WSUS (the Windows Update service) than they do running Xbox Live infrastructure.
