I dunno man, I think a lot of things that are why gaming is shit today can be traced specifically to consoles, especially xbox if you really want to get into it
matchmaking that is now a nightmare that makes modern multiplayer games an unfun mess of either tryhards or cheaters? started with xbox
paid for subscriptions that have made it's way to every other platform except pc? xbox did it
dlc for map packs and skins that would otherwise be unlockable in previous gen games? popularized because of console players, evolved into microtransctions now evolved into live service
buggy broken ass games that devs patch later because they know they can get away with it and people will buy it anyway? biggest consumers are console players
I can go on and on, if we want to start blaming shit at a surface level then the pin of shame can easily be pointed to consoles and especially xbox for the shit they did and halo revolutionizing console multiplayer which in turn brought in a larger audience that enabled such shit practices that have turned gaming today in a dumpster fire

I agree these are all bad things, thankfully I don't engage with any of them, I never paid for online even though I primarily game on consoles, I only subbed to Gamepass once for 1 Dollar and never signed up again, never bought any micro transactions etc.
Unfortunately most gamers ( and let's be honest these include both console and PC players ) are corporate slaves who mindlessly consume product and get excited for next product, there's a reason why every year we get closer to the all digital dystopian future that corporations want to shove down our throats whether we like it or not.

No, you're just a nigger. Nobody produced the best hardware they could, they produced the cheapest piece of shit they could still sell to people without taking such a huge hit they sink the company on hardware sales.
 
Without exclusives there is little reason to buy their box which means the console will sell less and less until it becomes time to pull the plug.

Same thing will happen to sony if they start putting their exclusives on PC day one.
 
Phil Spencer straight up came out and said "We lost to Sony". Yet, the x360 is the default controller in games? It's so weird to me. Even the 'default non-branded' controllers in video game overlays are the 360.

Isn't that because the 360 controller was plug and play before the the PS3? Or at least in the 360 era it was much easier to get the controller working on PC

This guy gets it. 1 and 2 are fine games, but nowhere fucking near masterpieces and anyone who thinks so is as he said. "retarded and gay"

1 is the best game in the series, the rest of it has sadly literally only gone down hill from it.

2 while fine starts to show the ugly head of retardation plot wise and character wise.

3 somehow takes the already poorly executed Morality from the first two games, and makes it stupider.
