I think the # wrestlers shouldn't be reported as "% increase" because there are only so many new wrestlers that come out a month. Really he's probably getting 100% of everything it's possible to get.

Here's a reminder of how awful Scopely is at managing their own App.
Right now the game is literally unplayable for me, and I've looked at members of other factions, some have lost a ton of resources (health packs) because they were booted out of the game. The glitches from Scopely never stop, it's honestly amazing how they can generate so much profit from this garbage. Wrestling attracts some interesting individuals to take advantage of.
By the way, Champions has an in-game section named "Know issues", where they post their latest glitches highlighting how useless their team is at resolving them.
Customer support is also horrible, and from my interactions with them on technical stuff, I'm starting to question if they have any idea of what they're doing. Just picture their team as a headless chicken running around, that should be accurate.

the new rock is broken as hell. when he got tagged in, i can half his health with one move, and pin him with the other finishing him off. strikers are all damage, no health.
my steph is 105% gem defense with glitches and new gem medals. lana does no damage to me except with purple gems... which is what i generate....

This is conjecture but to me it looks like Phil is focusing on a smaller handful of events so he can reliably get a top rank - he spent way more than he should have been able to in the last event but barely participated in the one before it and now this one. This also means he may be an addict but he still has just enough self preservation to not spend money he has earmarked for the mortgage or utilities on this trainwreck
