Yeah I hear the "it's a movie guys" rebuttal alot but movies aren't being advertised as an actual sport and actors aren't getting CTE. I don't understand going through all that work to not only fake it, but going out there knowing you're about to lose to "Scrawny Sam" because the script said so and the crowd might like it. I'm sure many people like it, but I'll always respect and like the lowest rated MMA fighter or Boxer over The Undertaker or who ever the top wrestlers are nowadays.

Yeah they are but to me its like how wrestling isn't a real sport, mobile gambling is the lazy pussyfied way to gamble all your money away. If you're going to blow all that money why not go out to a casino or a gambling table with other people, women, drinks, and at least have a good time going broke? No, you'd rather sit your fatass on a musty couch or chair and swipe your money away on a phone..

Don't pay me no mind I'm just rambling.
Don't want to veer too far away from the Phil discussion, but figured I'd throw my 2 cents in. I think some of the confusion over the appeal of WWE and stuff comes from labeling. Wresting can be a legit sporting thing, but the WWE, while referred to as wrestling, is not a sport. WWE is basically a mix of real life anime and a soap opera. Some characters straight up have magical powers. It's basically a show where instead of hiring talented actors to carry the story, you just let the stunt people do everything. But, to compensate, the writers come up with goofy schlock that's impossible to take seriously, so nothing is lost by the lack of acting talent. Well, there's some more "traditional" story stuff too, but as I understand it that stuff is becoming less popular and only the direhards really enjoy that. I think the shift to goofier schlock is also somewhat new, while in the 90's and early 00's it was more of a serious "sport."

If I had to guess, it appeals to Phil because, at the end of the day, the "plots" are pretty straightforward. Either the good guy beats the bad guy, or, bad guy beats good guy by doing something underhanded. Aka, the good guy is the victim because the mean detractors cheated/lied/whatever, but the good guy (typically) comes back and beats the big mean detractors while everyone cheers for them and says they were right all along. I'm sure you can see the appeal for Phil. Add onto that, Phil has such a basic maturity that seeing some big muscly guy automatically equals badass in his mind, as shown by his general character choice preferences in video games, and he's tried to insist that he himself used to be some super strong body builder in his youth.

To tie it back to Phil's addiction, I think he likes mobile games for that same simplistic reason. Phil loves to win. Actual games require some modicum of skill to beat. With his limited hand eye coordination and understanding, actually beating games is pretty hard for Phil. He doesn't care about overcoming challenges, he just wants easy wins. If someone were to make Phil's perfect game, it'd be a wrestling game where you pay a fee before the match, see a quick cutscene of your sweaty man hugging another sweaty man and mounting him on the ground, then it'd cut to a big "you win" screen, complete with some gibberish numbers and rankings to make you feel even better about yourself and your serious gaming skills.

He'll move on to paying this 'stack of bills'

This shit is fucking gay as hell... jesus. I have to go on YouTube now and purge this filth from my history, god forbid YouTube starts recommending me shit like this.
LMAO I was genuinely about to say the exact same thing. As a WWE fan from age 12-13 who's faith in the industry was shattered when I learned Eddie Guerrero didn't actually fuck up Rey Mysterio's knee this shit is gay beyond belief

Incredible that Phil is still playing and wasting his money on this bullshit. No matter how long you leave the Goutsphere, when you come back everything is still the same.
If/when WWE Champions gets shut down, Phil is so addicted to the mobile game, pay2easywin model that he'll just move on to the next one. Sure, he'll be pissed that all of his "hard work" meant nothing, but it's become a permanent part of his life at this point since he doesn't have anything meaningful outside of it to latch onto. The only difference is that unless someone happens to stumble upon Phil, we won't know what he's playing and wouldn't be able to figure out how much he's dumping into it.

We know Phil is or was also playing some marvel mobile game as well. He had a whaled out account in that shit too.

This wwe game addiction is no isolated incident. He is madly addicted to gacha games in general and we probably have underestimated his spending on them by far.

Guess whos online...

I love this real-time lie detection.

Yikes....talk about being caught red handed; at this point this shit is really sad. Don't get me wrong this shit is funny af but still sad watching an idiot ruin himself financially.
Oh totally. He learned nothing from the bankruptcy, there was no come-to-Jesus moment. Just back to spending himself into a hole.

Anyway here's the latest data porn update
Untitled5.png

- Number of battles over the past month getting back onto pre-New Year's levels.
- Number of wrestlers still going up commensurate with talent. He converts 1-, 2-, and 3-star wrestlers into 4- and 5-stars pretty fast, which I understand takes a ton of individual pulls if you're not combining duplicate wrestlers to increase their star count.
- More faction missions in the past 30 days than nearly every other 30 day interval since I started keeping track during Christmas 2020.
- Also a lot more faction tokens spent. Faction tokens can be used to upgrade wrestlers, as far as I understand, but the total number of tokens also counts towards the faction's overall rating, so Phil may be dipping into the faction token pool to keep his own wrestler's upgraded more often than normal (although this may have changed with the November 2020 update, where faction points no longer count towards a faction's overall ranking, but tbh I can't tell because everything written about this game by Scopely is designed to be confusing).

Even scarier? He may have learned the opposite lesson. Why not spend his money frivalously when he can just get it all discharged again in 7 years?

Why learn a lesson when he got no punishment in the first place?

Far as I'm concerned every kind of personal liability/sole proprietor bankruptcy, no matter what kind, would come with mandatory weekly meetings with a trustee to see if their financial literacy has improved, with wide berth to undo parts of the bankruptcy if they don't. Watching that whole process left me totally jaded. Motherfucker claims 5 grand a month on business expenses and the court can't manage to finger him on what the hell that's going to? Really?

Actually, he can spend even more!

So, the debt he had was racked up over, what, 10? years? That means he can waste more money in a smaller amount of time since in seven years it all gets wiped.

It's actually a loss and something only a morahn would do to cut some spending. It's better to discharge 500k of debt than 200k!
