The reason people make fun of Phil for his gacha addiction is both because he absolutely refuses to admit it and pretends to be poor while doing so.
Well, also because he spent so much on it that he could've bought a new BMW (which will tell you when its oil needs changing) for that price.

That's what he doesn't get about why people don't say anything about the big streamers. They aren't lying to their audience and begging for something the audience knows nothing about like wwe. It's why he's seen as the scumbag he is after the cat lie and wedding lie.

Hi Phail!

Will Phil buy pulls for this? Stay tuned, true believers!

That's the root of the whole thread, really. No one gives a shit if you shovel money into some weird expense. Humans can't be 100% efficient all the time, we aren't robots, everyone needs some kind of vice in their life.

This whole thing gives us insight as to where the fuck all the money he guilt trips out of people goes, and that's what matters. And so watching the fiend suffer from withdrawal and claiming he needs tips "now more than ever" is all the more horrifying/entertaining.
Read some of Uncle Ted's works and you'll understand why this surrogate activity is not only degenerate as fuck, but an absolute negative on humanity

Like Sonic The Hedgehog and My Little Pony, WWE draws autism for whatever reason. I watched it as a kid, but once I found out it was all scripted and fake I stopped watching it. I'll never understand why a grown adult would watch other steroid abused men horseplay around a ring with the win already determined, and I ESPECIALLY don't get blowing THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars to play Bejeweled and collect digital cards of these steroid abused men.

On the first point, same reason people watch actors on tv or (formerly) at the cinema following a script and pretending to be someone else. On the second, it's simply a gambling addiction.

wwe fights are not the only scripted entertainment out there. For a modern example, those Dream 3-predators-vs-1-speedrunner challenges and dream smp are two that come to mind. I personally prefer non-scripted sports like motorsports. Mobile games are predatory and gambling tho.

Yeah I hear the "it's a movie guys" rebuttal alot but movies aren't being advertised as an actual sport and actors aren't getting CTE. I don't understand going through all that work to not only fake it, but going out there knowing you're about to lose to "Scrawny Sam" because the script said so and the crowd might like it. I'm sure many people like it, but I'll always respect and like the lowest rated MMA fighter or Boxer over The Undertaker or who ever the top wrestlers are nowadays.

Yeah they are but to me its like how wrestling isn't a real sport, mobile gambling is the lazy pussyfied way to gamble all your money away. If you're going to blow all that money why not go out to a casino or a gambling table with other people, women, drinks, and at least have a good time going broke? No, you'd rather sit your fatass on a musty couch or chair and swipe your money away on a phone..

Don't pay me no mind I'm just rambling.

I don't think the theme of the game he's playing is all that important in the long run, if it wasn't wrestling it would be (and has been) another title in the same pay to win/card collection mould. He's a pretty much a casual fan of what he's interested in but loves to stress that he's heavily invested and full of knowledge. Realistically what does he know a lot about.. Street Fighter 2, crying poor and WWF? Chat should starting calling it WWF instead of WWE to flare up his autism.

Though I suppose you could say that wrestling being a staple interest of his since childhood does have some relevance since a lot of gambling addicts are unconsciously betting against themselves, reliving unresolved emotional pain from their childhood and WWF was probably there for him to help shut out reality. Often it's a sense of refusal or loss that drives them to keep wasting their money. The King of Suffering is hooked on his own pain and social misalignment. Was it the Wolverine toy that fucked him up? It was probably something that happened much earlier. He's shared so many oddball stories over the years that he seems to remain resentful over. We all have these negative elements inside us really but its a common thread amongst gambling addicts to be unable to process and move beyond them as an adult.

His ongoing refusal to try and escape the shitshow that is his ahnline legacy speaks volumes about his mentality. Even playing videogames poorly is an example of the cycle gambling addicts keep going through. They want to win and benefit from it while anticipating that they're going to lose. They get hooked on losing as much as they do on winning. Hitting a state of victory in a videogame, in a mobile game or even in hitting the tips goal are all his quick fixes to temporarily supress his self-loathing and ongoing denial that he's a laughing stock.

Handing him wads of cash daily isn't "sticking it to detractors" either it's only spreading the fire that already helped ruin him financially even further. The handful of ardent fans and whales are doing him as much damage as he's already done to himself by enabling him. It's pretty fucked up really that his parents probably aren't even aware of it and Katherine seemingly doesn't care enough either. He has absolutely nobody in his life to even try and get him out of it and by continuing to refuse to admit its his account shows he has zero inclination towards becoming the machoor and respahnsible adult he imagines himself to be. All we can sit and do is watch him (in clips for me anyways I can't stand his streams) decay in slow motion.

covered this a while ago, the combat is button-mashy & heavily realies on a good connection to parry/counter

wouldn't be surprised if he's playing it, but it's just not as passive as wwe champions
This may be the only semi-coherent argument about it not being DSP. Problem is we know he lies about lag and connections.
