God damn, it's so obvious listening to pre-thread DSP that he was playing WWE Champions whenever he was playing around with his phone.


Timestamp @ 26:30 (though there's a phone mention and being distracted even a few minutes earlier) through 28:19, and slightly less so but still distracted through til 32:10 when he "finally put down [his] phone". Listen to how distracted he is, how much dead air there is, all while admittedly on his phone. The man with no friends to text him or call or email, spends several minutes being distracted on his phone. Unreal.

As he's playing quite possibly the shittiest mobile game known to man, and he is 1 million percent "hooked" on it. Isn't it Shawn Michaels 🤔

Credit to you for being skeptical, but you cant give this POS the benefit of the doubt, ever! Someone in his chat posted that, and he was just reading it, between glances of champions and his chat. If you bring up the vid on YouTube, the comment scrolls past right around the 28:00 mark.

He means "great gameplay" in the sense that casinos and the gambling industry are officially called the "gaming" industry.

If I were him, I'd be streaming Yakuza Blackjack and stuff like that full-time. It's not Champions-- streaming Champions would convict himself of bankruptcy fraud-- but it's the closest he'll get to enjoying a game ever again. If it were anyone else, that last part would be sad, but this is Phil we're talking about. This could have been avoided if, way back when, he put a capture card on his phone and started streaming Champions.

It's a good theory, but we know from the bankruptcy call that his iPad is business related and he does still own it. No mobile game footage is just DSP laziness, as always.
 
You know, I think I'm genuinely unironically starting to enjoy DJanonzt's streams. Not for the game of course, because he genuinely looks like he's having a good time. He has his woman on stream (who's not embarrassed to be around him) and he'll occassionally have his best friend over and they'll get drunk and play the game. Hell, he's on right now doing Vodka shots.

I think if nothing else, it shows just how miserable DSP is now. I really notice it even if you go back three years, DSP at least is attempting to have fun. Like, go watch DSP's Godfather TIHYDP and watch DSP now. I can't any more, even through LSB (sorry.) The dude is just so miserable now.

And it's still fucking funny that he's been on Twitch all this time, and yet DSP still feels the need to mute all the music in all his games because of Youtube copyright strikes. Doge forbid he can't monitize his 700 view Part 25/52. He would legit make more money if he just keep the music on, but he can't because he only thinks short term.

That's the root of the whole thread, really. No one gives a shit if you shovel money into some weird expense. Humans can't be 100% efficient all the time, we aren't robots, everyone needs some kind of vice in their life.
The reason people make fun of Phil for his gacha addiction is both because he absolutely refuses to admit it and pretends to be poor while doing so. This whole thing gives us insight as to where the fuck all the money he guilt trips out of people goes, and that's what matters. And so watching the fiend suffer from withdrawal and claiming he needs tips "now more than ever" is all the more horrifying/entertaining.
