He’s too deep now after committing bankruptcy fraud. This isn’t like anything else he’s lied and gone back on before.
Correct. On top of that, and I just thought of this recently, but something he is truly defined by is his inability to handle it when his stupidity is exposed. Taking an L because you made a mistake that just about anyone could make is one thing (that he also sucks at), but (knowingly) admitting that he was an idiot? In as big a way as this? I would believe that Jeffrey Epstein killed himself before I would ever believe Phil capable of that. FFS, he can't even talk about losing right after his 4th place EVO win without taking away at least a little credit from his opponent by claiming that he was tired and it basically didn't count.
I'm not even talking about the idiocy of getting hooked on something you know is addicting. Keep in mind how Phil got caught to begin with: he was stupid enough to use such an incriminating name for not only his Champions account but the LINE account he signed up for some time later. That's something else he would be admitting to, and I'll bet it's a factor in his denials. No matter how worded a confession, he would be letting it known, publicly, that his rep didn't give him pause, that he, for not the first time in his life, didn't use his brain at all. Or did, but it was inadequate.
We all know fucked Phil's priorities are. Guarantee you that the thing he most regrets right now isn't playing gacha. It's naming his accounts "TheyCallMeDSP". He wouldn't have this stressing him if he hadn't been that catastrophically dumb. As far as I'm concerned, good god damn luck with him being able to publicly draw attention to that. His emotions rule him too much.
