Yup. That's how they are earning the majority of the money and it's from whales, which need protecting. That's why that vote with your wallet bullshit is well, bullshit. Because just like these chargebacks DSP gets, there's always gonna be the few who make up for those "losses" of income by tipping/paying a shit ton.

Can we quit with the 40k meme already? That is the number calculated at the very beginning of the arc and is probably far too low for what it is now. Say 70k or at least 50k instead. Or maybe someone should recalculate the number. Give Dave his due.

According to the guy on reddit who plays, $40k is the amount to go from level 8VIP to 15VIP or whatever the max is.

Add in three years of subscription costs, all the gatcha pulls, and other random bullshit. We're probably looking at numbers that are equal or greater than the mortgage on his Connecticut condo.

But dear fucking god the dudes mental gymnastics to say he isn't playing the game when all the fucking evidence says otherwise is just down right amazing.

I'd wager that a significant portion of it was, but I don't think that that whole amount is sweaty jpg (or other similar gacha fare) related. Phil, in general, has a huge problem with spending. Buys the fancy/expensive shit because the higher the cost, the higher the kwahlity. Yes, he blows a huge amount on manmeat pngs, but he literally can't help himself when it comes to acquiring shit.

Hence, why he no longer can do snort fort video tours. He claims because trolls will micro-analyze something written on the fridge (then later uses the coffee maker thing as another built-in excuse) and make up ludicrous shit about his life. In reality, he doesn't want the world to see all the high-end new shit he has crammed in the "nook," all the new shit the horse has in her stable, likely new as-seen-on-TV cooking gadgets that litter the kitchen (however, the Ronco showtime rotisserie is/was fucking great), probably new tvs and shit... Phil has a spending problem. With everything, not just gacha. Gacha is just to fuel his ego.

You forget that, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, she's thick as shit.

If he could convince her to take up residency in the Gout Mansion and from her reactions in the miniscule amount of time we've seen her on stream, she's fully on board with the DSP sob story. I am slightly conflicted in whether she thinks he's a successful streamer earning big bucks or they're destitute eating potatoes like a Soviet era family of nine.

She suggested a chair spin streak as an exciting new thing for the streams, she's got the imagination of a four year old. Bless her.

As long as she's getting a weekly day at the mall, a few meals out and a pet cat to stave off boredom and lack of friends, she's absolutely delighted - she's not going to be going through bank statements wondering where the fuck his money is going.
