It's at the start of this video based on a Fapcop post made in the main thread a while ago, but all Popsi said was "He's extremely mad about WWE Champions" which to me is not the same as "It's his account".
I could see some paypigs and mods just thinking he was mad because it "slandered" him. We know why he's mad about it, but they might not.

But in terms of paypig content, it isn't a big deal and is easy to dismiss with the "what he does with his money is his business" argument. I would generally agree with the notion that 'it's their money, they can do whatever'. But your last point is the big detail, and it also adds to the interest - this idea doesn't apply in Phil's case.
Since starting Champions, Phil has...
- Claimed that he was on the verge of losing his house
- Went through a bankruptcy and lied to the trustee, saying that he couldn't pay any of his debts and needed a bailout
- Said he couldn't afford to turn his heat up in his house
- Claimed that he needed money immediately for his groceries every week because his bank account was overdrawn
- Begged for money to see his 'dying' parents, secretly got married on that same trip
- Has argued that he can't invest a dime in the stream, including new equipment like systems and needs things purchased for him
- Claimed he wasn't playing Champions at all
... all while pumping money into the game.

Phil hasn't just received money with no strings, 'just because'. Phil got that money by crying and melting down over perpetual crises that we now know have been entirely caused by his own hand, and/or left to fester because he prioritized a mobile game. He asked for money for help with specific problems, and the money clearly did not go to solving those problems. It went to the game. Then he complained that we wrongfully called him a scammer... but this is exactly what we meant when we said he was blowing his money on some secret luxury. He has literally done everything shy of saying he needs money for a false medical treatment.

So any paypig saying 'it's his money' is just wrong - that is not an argument that can be applied to Phil Burnell. They're under the pignosis. Champions is exactly the money pit he has explicitly said didn't exist. He is a liar, a scammer, there is a binder of receipts, and this arc confirms his audience is remarkably stupid.

Yeah, I thought LSB gave Pops a little too much credit here. If the mods really wanted to put this to the 'it's Phil's money, he can do what he wants' test, one of them should just say that there is a mod discord, and that the account we believe to be Phil was Phil. That's all Pops needed to say - nothing specific. It's not even slander, it's just a statement of fact, and Phil doesn't get angry at people for stating facts, right?
 
I'm not mad at the Internet, just want to really lay this out because it's so hilariously absurd. Nothing to be mad at, Phil's story does not end well.

DSP is one of a handful of human beings on Earth able to earn more than $100,000 a year just for lazy streaming. He actually found a way to succeed not with brilliant creativity, but just low-effort bullshit. He's actually making at least twice, maybe three times what he could make at Best Buy or some other job he's intelligent enough to do. America was built on bilking morons out of their money, so tip of the cap to Phil.

But then... the truth of the matter is, behind the scenes he's not only pissed away enough income to support his "family" for years, he's spent so much on mobile gaming and credit card interest that he had to declare personal bankruptcy. And he continues to do so even after getting bailed out once by bankruptcy, just not even caring that the gravy train could end tomorrow. All to fuel his addiction.

Phil, you truly are one the greatest failures ever.

the regular and constant appeals over the a particular crisis are one thing, but even when there isn't a particular crisis on the boil the way he frames his interactions with money are just vile. For example when he got one of those massive bit cheers recently, he said something like "that helps a lot". When you tip your waiter for a job well done they don't say "that helps a lot". No other streamer acts like that - that kind of language is reserved for charity, or fundraising some particular activity that has some public benefit. Not middle aged men playing video games in their pyjamas.

The framing and gaslighting around the need for money is always there even when there isn't a clear palpable fraud or cause he's hiding behind (like taxes or groceries or whatever). He always presents himself as if he's someone in need of charity.

If all he did was clock on, "play games and have fun" and thank people when tips came in no one would care that he spends the money on sweaty man jpegs. I'd be firmly in the "it's his money he can do what he wants" camp.

But since he frames those interactions as some form of charity - that he's constantly in a state of distress the second he has a couple of bad days, fuck him he deserves all the criticism that follows that behaviour.

Really Twitch should have a clear policy on how performers should act around appealing for tips and subscriptions, particularly given so much of their audience is relatively young. They should only be able to say thankyou and move on, not "that helps". The pre-stream begging and crying sessions should also be banned - they serve no purpose other than buttering up the viewers for subsequent pathetic begging.

I think he's one Twitch TOS change (or change in enforcement policy) from a nasty shock and it's a question of when not if.
 
Is there any explicit in-game incentive to logging in every day for 1000 consecutive days? I know some other F2P games have some kind of daily XP bonus that compounds or multiplies based on how many consecutive days the account is actively logging in and doing something.

If not, then he is truly an addict to this Skinner box, going for his daily fix even though there's no specific incentive to do so.

twitch does have tos violations for "feigning distress"

idk how someone can get away with constantly telling his audience he's about to lose his house, can't afford groceries/taxes, can't pay his mortgage, can't turn the heat on, can't afford new clothes

Twitch just doesn't look into shit because it's a bunch incompetent people even when theres clear evidence that: he's still in that dinky townhouse, eating just healthy being a pudgy fucker, and buying almost every new release, while 3-4 years later and still saying the same shit.

Yes there's a daily reward for logging in up to a month straight, but the rewards are tiny

I recall something where Leanna got pissed because of Phil's open WWE Supercard addiction around 2015, so that would fit. Lucky for Phil, he found a new girl just fine with him burning all his hard-earned money on shit mobile games.

The amount of time he has spent playing this game she has to be aware of some kind of time waster of his. Whether or not she's aware of how much he has spent/ is spending on it is another question. Who is to say he doesn't lie to her and tells her they have no money because taxes/tax guy/bills/whatever?

The funny part is 98.9% W/L is actually pretty mediocre for those kind of games because you're fighting a set defense team controlled by the AI, so most of the active player base will have a win-rate of around 99%.
 
Sub-99% is actually really bad for Champions. Where Phil is at with his whaling, it's not even a contest, you do 1-2 moves and you win every time. He must quit games a fair amount to lose ~600 times.

It must have been quite the wake up call for Leanna to meet guys at work who had interests and hobbies and who flirted with her.

And then come home to a grown man who’s too busy to play with sweaty men in gymshorts to pay her any attention.

Fortunately Khat doesn’t mind. Heck, she’s probably too busy with the Jim to pay any attention to what Phil does with his time.
 
Now that we have a better way to track the progress of not-dsp, i would not be surprised if after a few days... the data was just not available anymore. They bent the rules for him 2 tims already before.

Changing a name from their studio takes barely 5 minutes from an employee that's paid under 20$ bucks an hour.

DSP only has to contact their customer service; they see he whales a metric fuck ton of cash, they create an issue they can track and send it to a scopeley QA guy.

QA guy logs into the fucking mess of a system they use to spy on their players ( one of many things ) and manually changes his name.

As you can see 5% of an hour of the slave wage of QA guy is worth securing the enjoyement of their gambling addict.

I was providing this kind of support for an outsider company based in the US ( MobilityWare ) ( P.S Fuck you Larry )
