Would you like to watch a man spend $135 to try and fail to get what appears to be a jpeg of Elisa from Wii Sports? Screen Shot 2020-09-21 at 10.30.11.png Screen Shot 2020-09-21 at 10.29.55.png

"I expected nothing, but I got a fuse. It's an expensive fuse, but it beats nothing."
No it doesn't. It is the equivalent of nothing.

At least someone kicked him $10 at the start of the video there. That's more than Phil has recouped on Champions.

Phil, this could be you, but you playin'.... at bankruptcy fraud.

You know, "at least" with Electronic Arts Madden/Hockey/FIFA Ultimate Teams, if you buy packs and don't get the player you want, you can resell the players you get in the auction house for in-game currency and then use that to buy players you want. Or sell players you got earlier in the year to save up and buy better players later in the year.

In this game, it feels like if you "miss a pull", that money is just gone forever. It's somehow even more insidious than EA, and think about what ground that covers.

WWE Champions has a somewhat similar system, you can break down the cards for resources to level up your cards. But, the return rate is really horrible.

You can get 3 things in a pull: 1.) a full wrestler, 2.) a ‘fuse,’ which is a way to level up a wrestler you currently have using only coins, instead of various currencies, or 3.) shards. 2 and 3 are actually the same thing, if you collect enough shards, you can ‘fuse up’ your wrestler. But shards only work on ONE wrestler. Look at this discussion on reddit to see how restrictive the shard system is https://www.reddit.com/r/WWEChampions/comments/it7chd/idea_for_shards/ That guy's proposal is basically what you're saying, and all the replies are like, yeah right, this is Scopely.

I was reading through that subreddit last night, and it is just a catalog of discontent with how Scopely has altered the game to suit whales like NotDSP, whom they call ‘the 0.1%’. Apparently about 5 months ago, the moderators stopped deleting criticism of the game, and now it's pretty much 100% of what's posted. Even if you want to post about a lucky pull, the tag you use is ‘Showoff/Regret’

I can't wait for access to that website to roll out to all users. But what happened on February 1st, 2018 that made him miss his daily login?

Eii_DQ0X0AAVhRb.png This is kind of pathetic too. 99% of the wrestlers you pull start at 1 or 2 stars, this means he obsessively levels up ALL of his jpegs, even though he will never use most of them.
