Surprisingly, Spotify isn’t taking the route as Scientology did with Tom Cruise. Since they’ve managed this hook this sucker, they should just keep adding VIP levels to vacuum more of his money.
Probably too much work, mobile game developers are known to do the least amount of effort for maximum profits, also the life cycle of this specific game may be winding down as it seems like WWE has a newer title they're pushing about to come out. Will be funny when WWE Champions is a ghost town, money well spent Darksy.

Mobile games like this always have finite life spans. To keep the whales engaged they gotta attract new players for them to dominate all over with the shit they spent so much money on and over time it gets harder and harder to get new people in. Better to just move on to the next skinner box game, whales have to start from the ground up again and new players are easier to dupe into being content for those whales.

Yeah most gacha mobile games top out at 6 or 7 star prizes, due to the bronze/silver/gold system Scopely is now effectively at thirteen stars and likely to go up to fifteen in the coming months/years.

I imagine they will hit that and then keep a skeleton crew on to add a wrestler or two every 3 months or so to keep the whales spending, while moving most of their dev staff onto new games with more whales.

Of course it's money well spent, he'll be able to claim that he was the top WWE Champions solo player.

Playing a less popular game that none of the other pro players are in to squeak out a 4th place win? Sounds perfect for Phil.

But in all seriousness, I'd bet Phil jumps ship if a new/more popular wrestling game comes out. He's whaled before on other mobile games and still ended up in Champions. Granted, we don't know how much he whaled in comparison. I think at this point, Phil would actually welcome it given all his trouble finding a guild on Champions. I'm really curious to see if he's smart enough to use a completely different user name, or if he'll fall back into old habits. With anyone else, I'd absolutely say they'd use a new name, but with Phil, it seems 50/50. The only reason I even say that is because he switched to a new password after his old one was discovered, so we know he is capable of changing some things up. But if enough time passes, I could see him thinking it is safe enough to go back to his usual DSP usernames.

HMMM

I haven't paid much attention to DSP the last month or so, is this the same "ear infection" he was whining about and using as an excuse before?

If this asswad has had multiple ear infections over the course of a year, he's either totally filthy (yep), or has some other medical issue that needs diagnosis (likely yep, too). He's just stalling and making a big stink about being hungover from a night of gin.

I know LightSydePaul hasn't been posting since some... unpleasantness, but he has been keeping track of the WWE pulls and I've capped a couple of key details just for posterity in this thread.

To summarize, Phil was playing WWE all day on his days off. He is currently rank 21 on the leaderboard for the current event, though I believe as of posting, he has dropped to 26. This is important because there is a bonus that you get if you are in the top 25 at the conclusion of the event (Monday afternoon), and Phil appeared to have tried to secure himself a decent spot, but will now need to go back and grind a little if he wants to get past 25 again. This will presumably be difficult because he should be streaming in the lead up to the end of the event.

Anyway, in addition to this requiring plenty of time, estimates suggest that Phil had to have sunk at least $400 in the game to rank up like this.
Curiously, if Phil got his usual $200 for streaming today, and then an additional $400 to cover his gacha investment over his off days, he would be asking for $600.
Now where did I hear that number recently...

Since it's obvious Phil has learned fuck all from filing for Ch 7 earlier this year given that he's still spending like a madman, what will happen when he inevitably gets into another $500 grand debt, but can't file another Ch 7 since the first one hasn't expired? Will Ch 13 still be an option, and/or will he be branded a bank bitch that'll basically never be allowed to retire?
