Can you share any interesting tidbits about first DSP sign guy at all with us? Sounds more entertaining than the sports entertainment being presented that night I imagine.
I didn't talk with him for very long. Given his glasses and hat I assume he was trying his best not to get sucked into the autism vortex, so getting chatty was probably the opposite of what he wanted. Basically once I sensed he didn't want to talk I just said "Well nice sign dude" and went back to my seat. He seemed like he didn't want any attention and that was my big take away.

On topic comment: Cash for store balance cards to spend online is how this is being funneled under the radar of bankruptcy, for the time being, is my guess.

That was my guess too, but that begs the question when and where he buys those cards.
On his day off would be tricky because he would have to buy 100-1000$ worth of cards per week.
Khet would surely notice that (assuming she doesn't know about his addiction).

If you think Kat doesn’t lurk on this forum you’re insane. He might have cut her off hard from the internet but the pony still has a damn phone and there is no way he has that locked down.

I bet is she biding her time and just gathering so much shit to use against him for the eventual divorce arc. She probably gets all her info from here and then does her own sleuthing at home to confirm it.

Yeah, but she must be really exceptional if she enables his addiction like that.
If her endgame is to get divorced, wouldn't it make much more sense to push Phil into saving some money instead of spending it?

Won’t matter. This bitch is playing the long scam and his tax returns still show $100-$150k yearly. She would get a a sexy alimony check on that fact alone (I would assume), which I think can be court ordered to be garnished from his bank account monthly.

Even at the risk of losing the WAKhando?

She barely comes in to watch his streams except when he's playing a game she's interested in or playing currently, if you believe Phil's reports on it. (Watch out you're not crushed by the flying boulder sized grain of salt!) So let's game out how we can keep it simple and confined to the day off during shopping at wherever;

"Kat, I really need to get some cards to be able to afford some games for the next month of streams, let me just stock up a couple of these big denominations with our groceries and that should do it for at least a week."

Four star Hulk Hogan, here DSP comes! Bonus, Kat now notices, but doesn't know about the addiction, the perfect crime, in a pigroach's mind...

Phil is one of the laziest people to ever exist who champions (wink wink) convenience over all other qualities. In my mind if Phil has a credit card attached to the apple store, and purchases are just a tap away, that is the exact method of payment he's using. But Phil buying tens of thousands of dollars worth of app store gift cards would be hilarious for sure. Maybe Wings' trolls that bribe his teammates with used codes is just Phil sending out recycled app store cards. :cunningpepe:

I assume Phil has 1-touch payment.

Thats the easiest way to spend tons of dosh. Hell, I've dropped $100 on FGO and that's just buying 5 10 rolls.

Since FGO somehow has BETTER rates than this bullshit, its likely phil just taps that buy button and spin spin spins and repeat.

Thats the usual whale method when banners go up. And Wrasslin Game apparently has a shit ton of limited rate banners.

For non gacha addicts, the usual method games use to make you open your wallet is that during an event a card goes 'on banner', which means you can get it at a higher than normal rate.

BUT, the catch is that the rate of the new card goes up NOT the rate of getting a card in general.

Ie: Hulk Hogan is on banner. He's only available during the event. So if you want him, you need him now (likely multiple copies, but I cba to see how they handle dupes). He's got a rate up, so you have a higher chance of getting him. But even then, you have to roll a 1% or less chance of getting a 5* and THEN you have a higher but not guaranteed chance of getting Hulk Hogan (say 5%).

Therefore he ends up rolling til he falls asleep chasing whats actually a 0.05% chance per spin.

People ending up spending thousands on banners and not getting cards they want.

TheyCallMeDSP has been active while Phil has called in sick today. And he has an extra wrestler added to the roster. He obviously needs that gambler's high during this Bankruptcy fraud exposure.

Amazing. He is in bankruptcy proceedings and he is still spending money on mobile gambling.
Good thing that none of the creditors or judge will ever find out.

He's way too smart for that, dood. He can just call it a "business expense," nobody will be the wiser. You dumb detractors just don't know how adults operate.

Actually, the more I think about it the more questions I have.

Is it customary for the bankruptcy court to look at tax filings to try to corroborate the claims in the filing?
I mean, if this is truly business expenses there would surely be a similar sized deduction in his tax filings?

If they look at his tax filings and there is no such claim, that would surely kill his ch7 filing right away, right?
And since we are looking at 5k$ a month in fradulent claims in his ch7 filing, there is surely real world consequences?

The alternative is that there is indeed such a claim in his tax return too. Does the IRS really allow you to claim 5k$ deduction per month for online mobile gambling or would we be looking at audit time?

All that shit could happen easily. Demanding to look at taxes for several years is super common in bankruptcy, almost de rigeur when looking at someone like DSP. Contradictions will not be viewed kindly.

I'm sure you answered this elsewhere, but since this is the mobile games thread, do you think he's writing off the mobile games as a business expense and that's why those numbers are so huge in the bankruptcy report, thinking "I play games, they'll believe any game as an expense even if I've never played it on stream." Or do you think the massive business expense number is some other lie/misrepresentation?

I thought the $5k monthly business expense was his mortgage, electricity bill, water bill, internet bill, food, and anything else that accommodates his lifestyle that was neatly packaged as a business expense. Basically, he flushes the toilet, the water used in that toilet bowl is marked as a business expense.

I don’t think he reported his gacha game spending anywhere on these forms.

And regarding his increased spending during bankruptcy proceedings: makes complete sense as addicts often increase their substance/ gambling use during stressful times.

I'm not sure if he actually specifically thought it out to that degree. I think he just made up a number and claimed it. But if he has to justify it to the court, which he will, he has maybe a couple grand a month in expenditures that he can't just hand wave away. So he'll have to explicitly claim it's a "business expense" somehow.

can you really call it gambling if there is no chance of winning anything valuable? it doesn't matter if he gets a 5 star platinum John Cena with a one in a billion drop chance, he still can't sell it. if he spent that money on lottery tickets or at a casino, with his luck, he might actually win a $500,000 jackpot he could use to pay off his debts bet it all on one round of blackjack and lose it immediately.
