Well he has some power and apparently respect among them. I think he genuinely likes the guild.
The most shocking thing of all this for me is that, while the writing reads like Phil, none of his posts are really condescending or snyde, and some of the people that spoke up claimed he helped people. That's a side of Phil that we have never seen before, and it was almost enough to make me doubt it was him initially.

They're the 1% in the United States of Phil

Well, you have to figure that this is one the FEW things he's good at. He's utterly exceptional in everything else, from any kind of game, to being repeatedly told that AAA titles are not guaranteed quality, to fucking up streams and cranking one out on camera. Hell, I still remember when a fan just gave him a fully upgraded gravelord sword in Dark Souls. He always needs help, or to be handheld through everything.

This? Any mobage where he can just throw money at it and be good at touch based games, as well as having legitimate skill AND critique at it? He's gonna fight for this tooth and nail, and this is the first time we've seen him really care about something, even if it is just Bejewled but with buff men. It's bejewled with buff men about a topic he cares about, no less.

I just wanted to highlight something. Watch as points are applied to this account's level at the end of this PvP match. They are level 61, Phil is level 313. Timestamp at 5m

That really puts into perspective the amount of time and resources he puts in. The progress he's gained since Friday's OP: Level 311 to almost level 315 now.
Maybe @BT9494 can give us insight on how that much experience that might be. Can someone feasibly make that much level progress without putting money in?

XP has nothing to do with money. However, to reach that many new levels in a short time required a pretty crazy amount of play. There was a new VS/Showdown event that started today, but I would doubt that the rewards offered would have anything new for his roster.

I'm not sure who he is adding at this point, as I believe there are only 216 characters available in the game. Still, he continues to get new ones, almost certainly through pulls.

Maybe this is act of defiance now that he has been exposed?

I didn't even notice his level go up

the exp between 311 - 314 is around 150k, (edit: not counting red bar progress cause it looks like he was almost 312 in the op pic and now looks like he's almost 315, I think red bar progress is redundant to the average)

I was trying to work out how many matches or time it would take, but there are too many variables

I was trying to watch someone to see avg exp per match, and it ranged from 1-480+, I don't think there are boosters

edit: if we say 500 exp best case scenario, 3 minutes per match, it comes out to 15hrs, game time only, doesn't incl menus and rolling for new wrestlers

which would average 3hrs a day since op first posted, which kinda lines up with when I check if he's online, it's always for a few hours, he hasn't logged in multiple times a day at all

edit2: I lied about "always on for a few hours", I checked the spread sheet again and he was "last logged in" near the end of his streams for 3 days which means he wasn't on for long, stream scheduled to end at 2145hrs)

he probably made up for that on his day off

xp source, each value is exp required to reach the next level

conclusion: he has no time or money to do fun things, please tip so he can eat and buy a hair brush

his philburnell@gmail apple id, linked to a phone# ending 05, was locked before and after he logged in, thought it might block purchases but he could be using a different email
He probably uses his pwecious Hotmail account, which, again, goes to explain a lot about why it's apparently such an ordeal for him to find anything in it. Imagine how many purchase receipt emails he has on a day-to-day basis after bouts of whaling.

The idea that Phil's favorite impulse fucks with his entire life just like a real addict really makes me smile. Posters in this thread have done a service to us all documenting and uncovering all of this; I'd argue it's a core aspect to the DSP lore considering how far it goes to explaining so much about his behavior (the begging, the strict autistic adherence to clock-out-time, the twenty-minute shit breaks, etc.). We always knew it was in service to something he valued more than his job or his fans or his livelihood and now we finally know what it is: pixelated beefcake unlocked via a slot machine.

Semper Fi, ladies and gents.

What is with the pink tye-dye pants? Why is mobile game sprite Hogan cosplaying as Superstar Billy Graham, more than usual, I mean? 1 in 8.3 billion chance it's a troll according to the computer analytics of the writing style, keep that in mind;

I can understand, and I do respect the intentions of the skeptics in the thread. It's a matter of due diligence,...He's definitely innocent until proven guilty, but there has to be a point where reasonable doubt takes over.

He's not accused of a crime, we can go with preponderance of the evidence here.

I've never seen the appeal of DarkSidePhil, bit I have to say this has me a bit curious....So I know, or at least have a decent idea the weird mix of autistism, wealth, and free time needed to be a whale, but I'm curious as to who these people are.

High functioning Chris-Chan. He even had an office job, once!

Patience. Working on more in addition to ...Just to be clear again, healthy skepticism is a good thing to exercise. I'm just saying that we're building up a preponderance of evidence.

It took dear leader a couple of bites at the apple but he finally found in Haunter and you some decent drummers for Spinal Tap, I mean supervisors for the Phil sub-forum. Now it's the Amber Reid sub-forum that can't keep supervisors from casual suddokuing instead every 12 months!

I know absolutely nothing about this lolcow but I would just like to say that people who spunk thousands away on mobile games that will probably be abandonware in a year are some of the funniest people on the planet to me

The current pay model in the core business of this enterprise is pretty broken to hell right now. They live off of TV rights while the ratings for their programming are on the floor to historic levels, they cannibalized their pay per view audience to a streaming service subscription model years ago. Now this is one of their best performing arms of the company, one that probably can finance a few shitty direct to digital distribution movies in the film arm of the corporate structure with the profits. This is their current golden goose and the only real break out success they've had in the last few years, so it's not likely going away on the near horizon?

Hilarious at the people who dont get t his is about luls and not destroying him, I swear some people dont get if phil were to go away so does your entertainment in making fun of him and his antics.

What Saddam did in the gulf war was small potatoes compared to what Phil Burnell has done...

A significant number of the posters in this subforum are vidya autists jealous that...They literally organize gayops in this forum despite the rules against it and it's tolerated.

Nah, report that shit when you see it, it'll be handled.

If we're doing advice, when contacting someone, keep it polite and light. There's a saying that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Basically, if you start out acting like a tardraging sperg, people are unlikely to talk. Go in softer and you can establish a report that makes them more willing (usually) to listen.

This is good advice, you got, an auto-correct probably misspelled, "rapport" though as 'report' and it changes the point slightly so I'm quoting you for both truth and accuracy.

Someone named Uselessness_TheyCallMeDSP got banned without explicitly mentioning the game by name. Quality troll.

"@darksydephil hey man, I was told we have the same name and decided to check out the stream!"

Well, that's conclusive enough for me, brother...

All Phil needs to do is tell Katherine to play his oiled up half naked men hugging game during his stream to throw off any and all of these very public gay op attempts.

I thought you were on the side of doing it for the lulz, man, what is this 'helping Phil posting' doing coming from your account? Plus if he really knew what was good for him he'd have his wife play the game during his stream as the female wrestlers only roster, you know, to really throw the trail off.

just found the smoking gun...

was looking for hulk hogan drop rate and found this and knew I recognised him

Bruno Samartino, Mike Tyson's favorite wrestler, holds records for longest title, in what is now WWE, reign from the 60s to early 70s and would be before Phil's time, but not from before his dad's Dave's time. Your point that it's funny is you finding humor in the actual business decision that led to the man's title run, pandering to the populous Italian heritage fanbase in the New York area before they were demphasized for Puerto Ricans and Pedro Morales as their wrestling avatar at the start of the 70s.

Those 3 are legit the most popular wrestlers in history. Before Hulk Hogan. Bruno Sanmartino was the biggest draw in Wrestling, And Ric Flair is 13 time NWA champion. Leave it to our buddy Dave to use the 3 biggest names historically to flex on people.

Steve Austin drew more and sold more merchandise during his time at the top of the card in the company but your point is still cogent.

Just a random thought... But if DSP is offsetting his taxes with expenses of 'games' that he has never played on stream (and therefore not part of his business) is he committing some sort of tax fraud...

He's probably avoiding a lot of taxes by putting $40,000+ through his business instead of reporting it as income like he probably should.

Depends on DSP's specific tax situation and how he has his business organized really. Could be yes, could be no, depending on the details, but the expenses themselves, no matter what that answer is, are very stupid for someone in his financial situation with foreclosure on the horizon.

Finally, vidya Trish Stratus, you say? What page do I need to check back in on to see how much they maxed out her implant boob slider in this game?

Wtf is "casual suddokuing", don't you mean 'casual seppukuing'?

It's hilarious to me that in any other situation Phil would go into DFE mode , but he's so addicted and in a whale guild so he mentally can't afford to not log in every day

Quite honestly... Honesty... Ahnnest Lee... To be fair! Accidentally its the right approach because if "Not DSP" suddenly changes his gaming habits it would strengthen the accusation. Well fuck shit balls tits ass, now he HAS to spend big money on the game or else ppl realize he burned through 40k and scammed everyone. Wauw, the detractors fuck with his income, nothing he could do.

He set himself a trap and walked right into. Surrounded from any angle, any move is wrong. There is no way out, unless this guy is not DSP.

He could also admit to it and be honest, prepare for the backlash. And by that I mean wiggling his way out of it with his snake oil merchant like tongue. His fanbase forgets anything bad he does anyway, just give it a month or two.

In case you were wondering if both DSPs are one in the same:

So currently Coeus is so confident that its the same person that the odds exceed the number of people currently on the planet. This mesh has literally never been wrong if his confidence is greater than about 85%

But it doesn't matter. Nothing will change. Dave lives on.

Coeus: Warning, I'm too confident!

Did they have a voice channel in that whale guilds discord?

I chalk that up to the fact that it's about wrestling. It's the only thing he's ever shown passion for and the other people in the guild presumably share the same passion so he probably feels at home there.
A combination of the above and it being a safe space away from detractors I reckon

The fact that DSP has not risen to the opportunity to prove us wrong very easily strengthens my opinion that it definitely is him.

He could prove us all wrong by showing his account that's all it would take for Phil to say what dunderhead nudnik idiots we all are, which is something he would love to do but he can't prove us wrong if he would prove us right.

Oh and here I was thinking discord was just for movie nights and gay ops conducted by homosexual florida men...

What's to stop him from grabbing Kat's phone and making a quick account on there?
