Global music revenue was around 29 billion annually during 2021.

The pc gaming market was worth about 40-50 billion

Console gaming is maybe somewhat larger but around the same neighborhood

The film market until it fell of the cliff was about 42 billion in 2019

The global streaming market was around 74 billion

Mobile gaming revenue in 2021 was 100 BILLION DOLLAREDOOS.

100 billion. The most widely agreed absolutely worst sector of the entertainment industry. Thats almost universally agreed to be filled with almost nothing but unadulterated manipulative trash. Is by far the most lucrative.

Now you have your answers. You know why mobile gaming is such trash. Now you understand why your online ads are filled with this garbage. And why every company is selling out and doesn't care what they're fanbase thinks when it comes to mobile games.

Lots of Phils out there. Like the GOW fiasco his droopy face rears up again as a emblem of everything wrong with the modern gaming industry.

Indeed. I've seen first hand how crazy profitable these mostly trash mobile games are.

I honestly thought gaming was going to be dead by now because of it, thankfully not yet.

Heres another fun fact for you guys. Honor/Valor of Kings. A mobile game has made more money than lifetime earnings of the top 10 highest grossing movies of all time.

Some game genres have been massively affected by this bullshit, though. I really enjoy racing games, but nowadays they're completely trash because publishers are focusing their resources on fucking mobile games. They have better customization, more licensed cars and even better graphics then some games for current gen consoles/PC. And, of course, are extremely predatory.

It's just sad.
 
I blame it on the wine moms. The bitches that pay to unlock candy crush levels on Facebook. You wouldn't believe how huge of a portion of the market share they take up.

Combine that with every IP getting a mobile spin-off game to attract the fags who still like Star Wars and Marvel. If even 1% of them get cripplingly addicted to it like DSP, they'll make huge profits.

Some of those games (especially the ones Phil plays) only require a skeleton team of developers to keep making new items. Much of the rest of the design is procedurally generated.

And I suspect it will only get worse as children grow up with ipads in their hands, brainwashed to consoom, and microtransactions and subscriptions become the norm.

Hell, some of those games have multiple currencies, VIP subscription, battle pass and items you can only unlock by paying. All in a single game. The fags who get hooked and play "to get to the end" will always end up chasing the dragon unless they sell their house and their wife into slavery. It's like you're in a hamster wheel but expect to get somewhere.

Just a bunch of fucking idiots. Should just go and gamble on slot machines.

Honestly, with Phil bitching so much about the gifted memberships from Argentina, it really begs the question as to how long will it take the pig to download NordVPN on his phone (using a shill streamer's promo code of course) and start using that sweet Argentina money to pull some golden Hogans on the cheap.

This certainly has to be copespending. Having his whole membership thing fall apart and getting denied hundreds of dollars has certainly fucked his brain up. I'm also expecting the spending to be paired with heavy drinking. Wouldn't even be surprised if he goes to X to shitpost salty tweets in the middle of the night.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got one or ten of those credit building terrible APR credit cards for bankrupt bitches like him.

But his spending seems to be increasing and I've not seen an increase in donations or members to justify it.

It makes the nog jog, however I do think TJ is being a honest as he can.

The math he uses is he does all the free shit to get the highest score without spending then takes Phil's score and compares that to the most expensive pack you can buy for the event and add up (buying a pack generally gives a set amount of points)

I'm more interested in where the money is cause we're getting content if Phil gotta bankrupt again
