TLDR: Crunchyroll are niggers and turned Vega into an Infernal character(Bison's faction. Harder to pull harder to dupe overall). He was a wind character in the other version(Guile, Chun-li, Abel's faction etc etc) so he was easier to obtain.

Turns out he's not that good, like Akuma(who they also changed to chingchang faction, when he was a fire).

This has come up a few times before and the answer is most likely "yes": Phil has mentioned before that she plays the Animal Crossing gacha game; I think he also mentioned that she plays the Pokemon gacha game but my memory there is fuzzier. Then there was the flight from Seattle to Connecticut to get married where they were both supposed to have in-flight WiFi but Phil accidentally tied both Wi-Fi subscriptions he bought to his phone and could not transfer one of them to hers.

This would also explain his claims that Kat has her own debts that keep her from contributing to household finances and her continued attempts to find work despite being inept - you know Phil is too paranoid and selfish to give her unrestricted access to his bank accounts, and that leaves forcing Kat to cover her own gambling addiction.

Edit: If Kat is a gacha addict that explains why she doesn't seem to mind or even question Phil's financial situation - to people on the outside looking in he is giving up any number of things (honeymoon, vacation, home improvements, retirement) for Hulk Hogan JPEGs and might even be one or two severe benders away from getting foreclosed but to a fellow gacha addict it makes perfect sense because she's too hooked to see the bigger picture too. These two really deserve each other.

I notice a lot of those big time whales are all part of a group called "Woken Warriors420." It just boggles the mind that you can have entire groups of people who whale out even harder than Phil does on each of these events. What would Phil even have to spend to be #1 scopely paypig for even a single event?
 
Mobile game whales have been a thing long before Phil got hooked. There's a fair amount that'd even put Phil to shame with their spending. I almost never have a reason to say this, but Phil is actually right about mobile games being extremely predatory. Which makes it even stupider that he still plays them.

They're likely real. When doing a thread about scopely and their predatory scumbag behaviors about other games they own, it was proven they were allowing known hackers to continue to play and compete, composing most of the ranked top 50. Not banning them, because even though they had artificially inflated accounts and weren't spending money, they encouraged the whales to spend even more. There was lots of posts on reddit about it that Scopely tried to clean up. I don't know why or how anyone plays any of these games, even calling them games are a stretch.
