Clearly he is a gambling addict, but what I don't understand is why get the dopamine hit on a game that has no actual winnings? I've known someone addicted to online poker, it's easier to rationalize being that the guy did occasionally win money. It seems really bizarre to be SO addicted to a game that has absolutely zero payout
The half naked sweaty man JPEGS are the payout

That's the rub. People deeply addicted to gambling simply don't care if they win or not anymore, just the feeling of the anticipation of what'll happen next is enough to get their dopamine spiking. In Dave's case, even if he doesn't get the sweaty man he was pulling for, it still gives him a rush.

Its the perfect darksydephil thing to do, get addicted to a gambling mechanism that gives you absolutely no chance to win money or anything of value. He's a complete failure at everything else in life so of course he would fail at being a gambling addict too.

He probably sucks at being an alcoholic too. I wouldn't be surprised if he's buying expense liquor just to turn around and mix it with coke or sprite. He does everything the dumbest and most expensive way possible.

Dave essentially dared da trollz to get evidence of him playing WWE and now it all came out and turns out he spends over 20% of his income on it, more than his fucking mortgage.

He's gonna end up workin till he's dead all cause he had to have some sweaty jpegs.

It is actually a bit more insidious than normal gambling. The winning rush probably wears off quicker than normal gambling too.

One of major reasons why gachas are so trashy is the " I have limited X and you don't" mentality. Part of getting it is to win and teach the noobs their place, but also to have something transient to boast. We all seen his showcase naked jpg pecs and most of it are only won by hardcore rolling and significant cash expenditure, no ? It is also mentioned by TJ that DSP doesn't rank in grind events where effort plays a bigger part in getting a new card.

I doubt he even likes this game much, he just wants to whale, get e-pecs, show off and move on to the next whaling banner for more e-pecs. Phil probably feels he can't give up the game at this rate because of his previous whaling, and giving up halfway means he conceded and lost to the competition.

Whales in mobile games get off on dominating new players, it's basically like a massive power fantasy for em. That's why all these mobile games have to keep recruiting new players constantly, they're almost like pyramid schemes where the bottom tier has extremely high turnover to support the upper tiers. Eventually though ya run out of suckers to fill the bottom tier and the game collapses as people lose interest. Then the company just makes another game to start the process all over again. That's why fuckin every IP you can think of has had a mobile game at this point.

Hasn't phil basically been cut off from any communities surrounding this game so he can't even really brag or show off now? Do we know if he's interacting with his current guild in anyway?

It has to sting the one place where he could go flex and show off was taken away from him. He's basically a bot account to other players at this point.

The fucked up thing is; Phil is an apology away from just living a normal life. If he actually took accountability for his actions, was honest and transparent about his spending habits, no one would give a fuck.

It would be like an hour of discomfort for years of relief. So yeah, he’ll never do it lol

So seeing his actual spending habits laid out, I’m inclined to believe he’s close to $100,000 deep into Champions. I say that will full confidence as well if you take my initial thought back at the beginning of this thread of $40,000 back then which was a generous underestimation, add in an average of $8000 every 3 months since then, 100k isn’t a crazy thought. And this is again an underestimation.

Could he realistically sell his account and recoup some losses? Or like most games is that looked down upon/could result in being banned ?
I checked various sites that people sell WWEChampions accounts on near the start of this and an account like Phil's would sell for like $600 to maybe $1K maximum of he got lucky.

He's spent $20k from February until now and it looks like he's spending less, particularly after twitch dumped him.

I don't know if $100k is realistic but I think $50k to $70k is very possible. When we found his accounts spending estimates were $15k from memory, so another $35k since then (with the vest streak money being so pahsative) is very realistic.

I think spending $85k to take the account to 100k would be a bit of a stretch, even for him.

He started at at least $40k, based solely on his VIP level. And he had spent prior to that to get to the then-current highest VIP level. He may not be at $100k, but he's close.

There is a black market in accounts like this.

And how exactly would Skopely detect it? The owner could just say he got a new phone.

In reality, policy for black market trading in accounts/individual cards depends from company to company.

Some companies fight it tooth and nail because they think it means money out of their pocket.

Many turn a blind eye or don’t put any hurdles in the way, knowing that it adds “value” to the account and might increase spending.

(Suddenly pulling sweaty JPEGs isn’t just a shameful vice but an investment that you can always sell and profit off at a later point.)
Scopely fights it by making it a long process to move your accounts to different phones and devices (or used to as of a couple years ago). If a whale like Phil requested it, he'd have to provide every bit of information about his account to prove himself. These companies are vigilant about stopping any re-sellers, and Scopely is at the tippy top of predatory mobile games.

Nobody likes Champions at the level Phil plays it. It's the epitome of busy work. It's really nothing more than showing off how much money you can burn on this trash.

I’ll let you do the research and the math I’ve been doing since this saga began last year. Don’t have to take my word for it but all the info is in this thread. The writing is on the walls.

I'm making my judgement based off the bank statements, Phil spends about 20% of his income on this game.

To spend 100k he would have had to have made 500k, we know he didn't do that in the last 2 years.

I have this conversation that I exported some months back.

Their name is censored (they're the red), this person had 2 and a half million on his roster at that time from months ago. For comparison, Rafters is currently at around 3 and a half million.

If it wasn't obvious they were already having difficulty on selling the account, and I believe they continued to try to sell it at a lower price. There's no way DSP makes a dent on the amount he has invested on it, even if he manages to sell it without screwing up.

I didn't really push on this person, it's almost sad when people get addicted to this trash. Hopefully they got rid of it.
