Of all the shitty streamers on Twitch and elsewhere, why would she choose a guy like Phil? Wouldn't it make more sense for her to orbit someone of bigger popularity like Timthetatman or shroud? Phil doesn't actually get too many donations per stream in comparison to other more competent streamers. If you're with a guy like Tim you'd be living very comfortably. Was Phil just the type of streamer that's more likely to accept her advances?
Orbiting kinda works, if you plan to stream. But you still gotta be entertaining on your own. People will give you a chance if they like you and you stream, or at least give you lurks most of the time, but you can't really build up a community if you're a braindead potato. A lot of people seem to have this idea that they can orbit and then do mic off, no cam, subpar skill streams and have it made because "People know who I am!". Doesn't really work like that.
I know most people never really checked out Khet's content or her TIHYDPs, but to give the short version of the story, she's a great match for Phil. She's got a catchphrase of her own she repeats constantly (Oh shit!) and puts on a very, very basic and divorced from reality thot act (I haven't had sex in ages!) and she's garbage in general. Really bad awareness, terrible skill, plays on normal, just nothing interesting about her at all. She's not even pretty or fun. Streaming is legitimately a terrible choice of career for her. She's the worst thing you can be for it: Thoroughly boring.
The industry has plenty of clout chasers, and Shroud or Tim get far hotter chicks trying to get into their pants for influence for sure. Kat could maybe get railed in a bathroom and promptly forgotten about and never spoken of again by, I dunno, Dr D on a particularly bad and drunk weekend, but with her skillset as an entertainer she legit couldn't aim any higher than Phil, even as an orbiter. I'm not sure she was even looking into a streamer who would promote her, more like just a meal ticket. Thing is, she wouldn't just grab Phil's wheelchairs and run away with them if Phil let her have them, she's just as bad at games, and her commentary is similarly braindead. She's just Phil if he was on benzos rather than booze.
Chicks putting out for favors isn't anything exactly new in the entertainment industry, but streaming's grown up and got a haircut a long time ago. It's not hollywood, but not just any female can make it by putting herself out there. Specially since the competition is composed more of actual softcore pornstars, actual strippers, and girls mimicking fellatio live than other gamer girls. The market is saturated with offer, there's just not enough demand, and in the end of the day Kat's got nothing to offer that you can't find out there for cheaper and with more quality.
Even Phil's more unique. Fits his own niche of "Turbobegging male not-quite-thot"
