Phil is dumb enough to assume that bankruptcy protects him from Midfirst, which in his case is stupid because it's NOT based on research, so he probably doesn't fear being slammed for fraud as much as he should, he just can't stand the bruising to his ego from admitting that he did exactly what detractors say he did.

As for feeling ashamed of his addiction, I doubt that as well. This is the same guy who yelled at someone in his chat for drawing attention to themselves by talking about a deceased loved one. Phil is not capable of being ashamed of anything, he has way more concern for, again, admitting that detractors are correct when they call him a soulless cunt who could use a good ass whooping. That's what all the semantics is about, that's why he always tries some kind of "doesn't count because reasons" bullshit. Like I've said before with his dream of being taken seriously, he does not care how at odds his behavior is with that dream, he only cares about whether or not he achieves it, so he'll never acknowledge how much he deserves the rep that he DOES have. Confessing that he has wasted tens of thousands of dollars on wrestling jpegs is the ultimate acknowledgement to everyone that he deserves his rep and that he fucking knows it. He thinks that would kill him.

Little does he know, NOT doing something about his addiction is probably going to do that one day.

I play online poker, I've seen poker sites and apps come and go. But there is one app that is making more money than any other app called WSOP.

PEOPLE PAY MONEY TO GAMBLE WITH FAKE CURRENCY. What the fuck is this about?... You're paying money to gamble with no possible way of getting money out of the system if you win rather than do the exact same game and actions in a real poker app and get paid if you win.

It's insane. I do not understand it at all.

Does it not feel like real gambling because it's fake coins? it's very interesting and one of the most autistic things about people in current year.

People have an inclination to disassociate from the real purchase cost of something in a bunch of ways. Using credit cards, the 0.99 cent trick. These games are designed to exploit every possible avenue in human psychology.

We can talk about bootstraps and common sense but at the end of the day we're all wired to enjoy shiny objects, colored lights, and the feeling of risk/reward commitments. But we don't really have the vocabulary as a species to write laws based on the human elements of psychology they might exploit. Maybe in 100 years or so.

So going by architect's post, DSP deleted one. Now the question is, was it the WWE game's one or some other? It's not definitive, but this could explain TheyCallMeDSP#4058 getting deleted some months back.

DownFromTheRafters is a direct wrestling reference to when Sting thought he was The Crow and would come, you guessed it, down from the rafters to swing a bat at the NWO. It was one of those things that even casual wrasslin fans would know since it was one of the hottest angles at the time, and you couldn't not see it on WCW broadcasts.

Poker sites (at least the ones that are not outright scams and those are easily avoidable) are nowhere near as predatory as gacha. The rake is up front, despite bullshit claims from losing players the RNG is legit, and any cheating/collusion is from other players. It's also fairly easy to win regularly with a bit of discipline. You can be pretty sure the rules aren't going to suddenly change in the middle of a hand and a straight isn't suddenly going to beat a flush.

Imagine if Texas Poker games got auction-style microtransactions where you put in real money before the flop, river and turn and whoever puts in the most money gets the best possible flop, river or turn for their hand at that exact moment.
 
Want to know something interesting? If you disassemble the WWE Champions APK, there's a field called GrossRevenue in there under PlayerVipInfoManager. The amount spent on this game is downloaded to the phone. Does "VIP Info Manager" ring a bell to anyone who has the app?

I suspect this only works for the user you're logged in as, since this class also has stuff about "displaying subscription status" and similar.

Could you imagine if someone was able to spoof NotDSPs info and get the values for those fields? There would be so many tractormeems in ActuallyDSPs chat, he'd be complaining about his lower back hurting from all of the LIMBs he'd be handing out on the daily.

I don't think I have ever seen that option in the game, but I will take a harder look at it later.

What would be nice is to get a RAM dump of the process while viewing Phil;'s profile. If the GrossRevenue does happen to get downloaded, it'd be in there somewhere, probably close to his name and points total and all that.

It might just be the total amount of in game currency he has spent, but we can still extrapolate the cost based on what the currency costs.
 
You know, if there is anything about this part of Phil's life that is a top contender for "The Most DSP Thing Ever", it's the fact that a bunch of random strangers with nothing uniting them beyond a desire for laughing at idiots have more interest in ascertaining the figure for the financial waste his mobile gaming habit has caused than the motherfucker himself does.

I never claimed the site were gacha sites, I'm saying it's weird that people are spending money on fake currency in the WSOP app to gamble away with each other while ignoring real money poker where you can cash out your winnings.
