I've even gone so far as to post my arm on my fb account after I stuck a band-aid on it with a big thumbs up emoji (I kid you not). It's my only normie social media and is there for business and employment purposes only. (BTW I'm also a Biden voter and love BLM.)

Yesterday I ventured out into the wilds of the American midwest for a doctor's appointment. When I got there the lady behind the desk asked a few basic "do you have the plague" questions and shot my forehead with a mind-erasing slow death gun that also took my temperature. There weren't many chairs in the waiting area and the staff all wore masks, but I could tell it was more because TPTB told them to than because of any great fear. (and I'm sorry but you do not get to act afraid of germs if you have 3-inch-long bedazzled fingernails.)
Taxi driver on the way to the appointment wore her mask on her nose and mouth, driver on the way back wore her mask on her chin.
I wore mine inside the building and in cars but took it off while waiting outside for the cab.

No one, not even the doctor, asked if I was vaccinated.

While some are legitimately crazy and still believe all the doom and gloom, I think a lot of them just don't want to admit they got it wrong. After a year of blathering about how bad the coof is, they can't just reverse course and say "whoops I guess not haha my bad." People are really bad about admitting they're wrong, and when they've been spouting the same shit for so long, it's all that much harder for them to finally come to terms with their mistake.

I was chatting with my online friend group last night, and one of them said that his employer was going to stop remote work but also force everyone to get vaccinated to come back in, vaccine passports and all. He had concerns about getting the jab, but then along comes our most I Fucking Love Science™ member bitching about anti-vaxxers and practically yelling at him to get the shot. It was literally impossible for him to admit that there could be legitimate problems with the vaccines that we couldn't possibly know about yet, that the coof isn't actually that big a deal (even going so far as to bring up the long COVID thing long after that's been debunked), and that there's not really a good reason to get jabbed if you're young and healthy. Just constantly going around in circles for like an hour, where he just couldn't fucking admit once that the Science™ could have it wrong.

In some of these people's minds, I think they don't actually know that eradicating an illness is virtually impossible, or at least downright impractical for most. I mean, we've eradicated I think two diseases altogether in the history of the world, but smallpox is way different from the coof (and since we still have laboratory samples, it could potentially return one day). They seriously think that our Science™ is so good now that disease is a thing of the past, when that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Honestly, just let 'em continue to stew in their resentment of everyone going back to living their lives normally. If they want to live the rest of their lives muzzled up and homebound, more power to 'em. As for me, life's good in a free state.

I sympathize with many of you that are lying and playing the game. It probably is the best move in terms of self-interest.

But I am not. Fuck that shit. I always look pleased when someone shares with me or the group that they are getting vaccinated. But a person I report to asked me the other day when I would be getting vaccinated after a peer shared that she was so excited that she got her first dose. And I straight up said that I am not. I am not high-risk and am not mandated to do so like other family members. I went on to say that I would get it if it was required by school or work. The person I report to said that seems reasonable. No hysterics occurred and the meeting continued in a rather uneventful fashion. Maybe I am persona non grata, but I don't give a shit.

My piece of mind is worth more than anything my peer or the person I report could offer me. But I totally understand playing the game and would advise others to go along to get along.

Don't get me wrong I'm fine telling friends and family I don't play that shit. I have a fake vaccine card for clown world and globohomo in case a job/airline/store asks for one.

Have you considered moving someplace where you aren't at the whims of the local bureaucrats? Things are only getting worse, the longer you put it off the more likely you'll regret staying where you are considered infectious until proven healthy.

There are plenty of acceptable reasons for one to be hesitant about getting the vaccine, especially if there is no pressing need or requirement to get it. I've even had vaccinated people concede that they understand other people choosing not to be vaccinated because of all the conflicting information that's been spread about the vaccines and their effectiveness.

The fact a relative who is a nurse agreed that your concerns/objections are justifiable given your personal situation should give you some sort of peace of mind even if other relatives think otherwise.

Funny how the same liberals that are pro-choice because "a woman should be able to freely choose what happens to her body" feel the exact opposite about those who want to make informed decisions about COVID vaccines.
