I know this isn't the stocks thread but I'm wondering when the market correction will happen due to covid induced crunch. Not trying to tmi but I'm young enough the play is to ride the market win lose our draw, but I feel a 10k DJIA haircut is inevitable and want to move my shit to bonds now then get back in when its over. Any financial savy farmers got advice? I've read some blogs saying a crash is coming but they are all tied to institutions so they caveat with "don't take our forecast to pull your money out".

Just put a stop loss order on all your stocks at whatever numbers you feel comfortable with and increase it as your stocks go up. This won’t work for ETFs, etc, but works perfectly for stocks.

New York City has a large number of landlords saying "we won't pay our taxes because we didn't get money for rent."

If the Feds wanted to give everyone "free money", they could just cut the federal tax rate on paychecks from 22% to 15% or something. Or just remove the 10% tax on the first $9875 annual income and give everyone $987.50 that way.

And likewise the mainstream media will deliberately decide to completely stop giving a shit about 85 year olds dying from the flu this year and that combination will make enough people to stop giving a shit.

The Democrats are lucky the hapless Republicans are pathetic losers. They could utterly annihilate the Democrats with covid right now with any attempt to put an end to the beast they have created:

I hate to be a doomer, but I don't think the restrictions will be lifted that easily. I mean, these big Democratic governors have now seen just how easy it is to not only gain power, not only to have no real opposition to it, not only see how toothless their own state Supreme Courts are (when the courts ruled against the lockdowns and literally nothing changed), but how the MSM started backing them up and saying how terrible it was that people would rather have "their rights" if it meant killing people.

Why should they give that up at this point?
