I've noticed a lot of dishonest journalists have been using this neat little rhetorical trick lately to drum up Covid fear.

What I'm gathering is that we'll go from having hospitals near capacity from Covid patients to having hospitals at capacity from having to treat those with allergic reactions to the Covid vaccine. Makes a nice change I guess.

Do you really think they'll admit mass complications do to a vaccine? If hospitals deal with a quantity of ill reactions because of the vaccine it'll probably be blamed on "long covid" and the complications will be swept under the rug.

Mark of the Beast vibes. Yet I have been feeling the parallels for awhile now. Not because I believe in some crazy Satanic stuff. Just because it's so similar yet so rooted in actual reality and it's humans doing it to humans and just sitting back and letting it happen. I never thought I'd be living in a horrible dystopia.

The breadline outside of Walmart was insane. I just wanted to use the fucking bathroom. I ended up in Aldi. What's interesting is just how much of an impossibility social distancing is in the stores. For all the "We're hiring" announcements that blare over the speakers every five minutes, no one seems to have more than the usual 2-3 lines open for massive amounts of shoppers all going crazy again.

I had a coupon for Old Navy and while I was in there the Covid 19 announcements were constant. It's like that in most stores. Many of which play it back to back in English and Spanish. Just keep drilling it into everyone's head. Wear the mask. Six feet apart. We're all in this together.😵

Huh, I always wear earbuds in stores so I haven’t heard these announcements. Are they happening everywhere?

I like the ones where some local or state politician essentially says "keep our community safe and healthy by wearing a mask, if you don't then you will be fined or arrested." It's such a lovely trip into totalitarianism. You know how every so often some teacher gets in trouble for how they teach the class about why people would follow the Nazis/whoever because they have students bully each other or pretend to be Hitler? Well they don't need to worry anymore, just tell the class "here's what I saw during the coronavirus pandemic."

Looked at the video. Dude needed to just get in his car and leave the situation. He didn't. And tipping up one of the guy's hats...just asking for it. The assailants have a a defense now. Saw the supposed pic of the "victim" in his USMC uniform. The last name on the uniform is different than the man's name. Something smells fishy about this.

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but Whole Foods has this retarded rule for enforcing social distancing by painting one-way arrows on the floor and forcing everyone to walk in only 1 direction. Sure, no one actually abides to this dumb rule, and the minimum wage Puerto Rican employees don't enforce it, so it's just an average grocery store clusterfuck of yuppies in face masks bumping into each other.

I think it may be even odds as best. Sure, some black people might jump on the vaccine bandwagon if it was made by one of their own. However, others -- especially those who believe in the Oppression Olympics, might be quick to dismiss the vaccine as the work of a sellout Uncle Tom or other similar reason.

It looks like the online version might be behind a paywall, but I read an article in today's newspaper where a Gallup Poll reported 57% of those surveyed are unwilling to get the COVID vaccine. Take that however you will.

Wokester black people would have legit reasons to be suspicious of this vaccine. The last time the government offered the black community first dibs for a vaccine was in the 1960s, where they gave them syphilis and sterilized them.

Yes and no.
Some of the symptoms are your body fighting off the infection.
I personally don't fuck with fever-reducers until I'm steady over 103*F (which I haven't had in years), because the innate purpose of a fever is to raise your temperature and make the body hostile to the virus. Now, if it does peak 102-104*F, your body runs the risk of essentially damaging your own tissues while heating itself.
(the same thing applies to mucous/coughing, your body is trying to expel and flush the invading pathogen)

Same, but nobody seems to care. I walked past a Kroger shelf-stocking grunt not wearing a mask (they themselves wearing their obligatory mask below the nose) right as one of those "remember face coverings are required in our store!" announcements came on. They didn't say shit.

I will occasionally try to troll or gently red-pill coworkers by making comments comparing the COVID lockdowns/mask mandates to diseases (fungal/viral/eukaryotic parasite) affecting some of the species I've worked with and/or discussed; so far to little avail.

It's frustrating though when normies are like "TRUST THE SCIENTISTS! YOU MUST HAVE FAILED HIGHSCHOOL BIOLOGY! :smug: " then I point out that I'm literally a fucking scientist and I get the "well you're not a PEOPLE SCIENTIST so you don't count!"
