One of my friends was tested positive for COVID ...

His wife, however, was tested negative. They have not been apart at any point since March.

Both are experiencing zero symptoms.

Clown. World.

Apparently, asymptomatic transmission is not the easiest thing in the world, so that's somewhat plausible.

Among strangers? Sure. I can believe that. It makes sense. If you're not coughing or sneezing, then yeah ... Less likely to be passing it around.

A husband and wife, though? I'm assuming that they're not "social distancing" from each other in their own house, if you catch my drift. lol.

uk.gov just announced tightened lockdowns all across the north of England.

I was going to go see my uncle at the weekend for the first time since christmas, but fuck that plan, because they keep finding asymptomatics everywhere after doing more tests.

There were 35 deaths nation-wide last week. 35. More people died of boredom!

You'd think that the news of so many asymptomatic people would be really great news. But, you know ... The government is going to keep government-ing.

I hate this year.

Then of course there's shit like this happening;

Small price to pay for "safety," right?
"Food Insecurity" is a dumb idea that doesn't mean you didn't have enough to eat. It means that at some point in the last six months you'd had occasion to worry about whether at some point in the future you might not have enough to eat. We've done so much to eliminate hunger we have to invent new reasons to be worried about hunger.

I've lived through some dumb shit, but this year is by far the dumbest. I just wanted to grill, man. Literally in this case.

Deaths are decreasing worldwide -> government tightening its grip on lockdowns
wat? Are people blind on this or would rather see 'infection=automatic death'?

Lmao.

I have the urge to slap anyone saying the words "new normal" in the news. It's not normal to wear a face mask everywhere if you are not sick or making a fashion statement. But just because we have a global pandemic we made concessions but this is no way the way things will go in the future. The Wuflu is going away and with it the requirement of everyone wearing masks.

ALSO DON'T CUCK TO CHINA
"It's normal in China, and they rule the world now. So it's the new normal everywhere else"-The media, probably.

Govenor Evers of Wisconsin has declared masks mandatory indoors till the end of september. Weird it was only a couple weeks ago that he said he legally couldn't do that lol

Alternatively a false positive test may have been the cause.

Speaking of, does anyone know the likelihood of false positive test results per testing type? I heard it was 3% for some, but I dont know if that's just for one type of testing or across the board.

It's almost as if the use of collective punishment in grade school has ramifications as to how idiots on twitter the general public thinks about political issues.
