When the actual numbers that the WuFlu isn't all that dangerous became crystal clear.
Also most of us posting regularly on this thread prepped as best as we could despite every traitorous CCP shill and media whore demanding we not only ignore common sense and take precautions against the chink flu but expose ourselves by hugging the nearest pollution goblin. Some of use still got it but at least we had food, water and TP and avoided getting massive viral exposure. We didn't listen to the "experts" then and now we're following our gut instincts again. Viruses mutate and become less lethal over time. We should be cautious and proceed carefully but it's clear it's not going to kill us all.

For fuck's sake:

"You have no rights, move along citizens."
It's absolutely unconstitutional. They're the LGBTBBQ brigade so they will challenge it in court.

Today I went to exercize as late as I could. It's been really nice to do so. Walk was calm and relaxing, and the city was beautiful. Here's some pics so you can also enjoy:

And yes btw that is a beautiful full moon. And a lot of people. Way more than usual. This is part of what I wanted to talk about now. Today I heard the term "new normal" used again. Not by politicians but by managers. And... I think I like our new normal.

See. What the directives were talking about when using that term. Was how this has managed to propel the hospital forward in many ways, and deescalation can't mean letting bad habits and rules creep back in.

Thanks to corona many negotiations got streamlined. Our organization charts are simpler and far more effective. We stopped being an "open front" hospital. Meaning now families can't just come and go unchecked and instead need to register at the door and have limits of people per visit. Which has prevented massive issues that plagued our infrastructure, morale and resource management. Specially theft.

And while our doctors are stubborn as ever, you witnessed as much today, thanks to corona we've learned to cooperate in many other ways. And so what, in the end, if they wanna use pippetes? It's stupid, counter productive and pointless. But, quite simply. Who cares? Today's other debates, the ones about the lockers and kitchens. Were actually a long time coming, they had been years on the backburner. They didn't comw back till now because we had more serious things to worry about. And not enough time to care about those things.

Puerta del Mar is stronger than ever. And as things reopen, it seems to be adapting quite nicely to being a real shining beacon of hope for its personnel and its patients. It's genuinely nice being there, even as you have to fight a war on 5 sides where no one is right and no one wants to admit it. I like this new normal.

And thing is this is not just the hospital. As the PP and Vox wither, the autonomic rights have finally started forgetting their allegiances and working on fixing themselves. Except for Ayuso anyway. Journalist screech but there's no one to listen. And no one cares about the political noise as it fades into the background. The ones that matter are united and working. And they may hate each other. But they won't hurt themselves just to spite each other. As such pollarization is quickly lowering, and cooperation rising. And it's funny really. I live with a right winger, and usually when something really dumb is said by the right I respect him by not adding fuel. Today he was the one coming to the rest of us with the dumbest quotes of the day, laughing his ass off. It seems the voting base has finally reached acceptance. And I hope that means a new right wing party is soon to come, with real proposals, and less insanity.

On the journalists side its even better. Fernando Simon was talking to a rise of lethality during flu season. Which journos wanted to attribute entirely to corona (despite you know. FLU SEASON), and he explained they can't just go and say that definitely without solid proof, and gave multiple examples of what could've theoretically happened. Like the flu, other diseases, and as a sarcastic remark added "a really big accident". Journos of course went and grabbed that voice clip to try and ridicule him claiming his excuse was the accident. Usually this would be met with irate people lambasting the journos on social media. But all I saw were jokes about journos being too dumb to understand sarcasm.

And that is not the first time I write about a surprising lack of ire. I mean. Spaniards do enjoy their clownworld on average. But usually at least a good segment will get angry. Lately, that has not been the case. It seems instead that people have just reverted to pure fun. Every day is carnaval. Life is to be enjoyed.

And this attitude isn't just in social media. Look st how many people were exercicing. People are walking more than ever. It wasn't just the first day. People are in general taking a lot more care about their health than ever. Not only because they saw the signs. But because quarantine has taught them to enjoy fitness by taking it away. People want to walk they want to eat healthy they want to live a good lifestyle. So it seems spain's new normal is shaping up to include a people that is healthier, happier and calmer.

I do enjoy my clownworld but I could certainly do with that change away from it. And it seems that is what we got. Animals are also still closer to humans. People, attracted by the novelty, have shown them their kinder side. Cadiz is still filled with birds, our bay still holds a steady dolphin population. It seems we have learned to care for nature. And nature has learned to care for us. I know I talked about tree elf shit in the past, but, this is genuinely uplifting on a subconscious level. People care about animals, instinctually, even if they don't know it. And this scratches that itch I didn't even know I had.

We have also seen a definite end to this. As pretty much every minor party agrees alarm state simply cannot pass the next vote in 15 days. This was the last. So deescalation will keep being pushed harder. And lockdowns on most places will keep going down. Madrid is a political mess and Ayuso has even caused members of her councel to quit over her insanity. But that was to be expected. And at this point everyone agrees she's more entertaining than actually threatening. So who cares.

Furthermore. 3d visits for culturally significant places and museums keep being pushed. In fact I had a new one to link to you: https://www.patiosdecordobaexperience.com/visita-virtual-los-patios-cordoba/ The gov wants them to be the new normal. So people can see our past, and our present, through home if they can't find a way to go see it in person. I also find that quite enjoyable. As for the economy. Current gov was obsessed with self employment and small biz creation. And while corona has taken a massive sledgehammer to that as it has all other economic endeavors, they seem set to redouble their efforts on that front as things lift. And I do believe it will work. I don't know how UBI will turn out but at the very least the rest of the economy seems solid. Hell. It seems more solid than spanish economy's ever been in the past. And the relief effort has gone extremely smoothly and well. With local support and guvernmental aid managing to get the best out of the NGOs. It's been heartwarming seeing cops and military help the poorer elements. And the social gap slowly but surely dissipate.

It seems every law that harmed us is lifting rapidly while we're learning to keep all the good. When people talk about the new normal here they don't talk about restrictions and impositions. But instead services and attitutes. And... I like this new normal. Rate me rainbows if you please, I know I deserve them. But. I can't help but think despite the horrendows deathtoll. Corona has also done some great things for us. As the song goes. Fighting against her is the best thing that's ever happened to us, it taught us so much about ourselves. I hope we don't forget. I for one know I won't.

I wish I could say this is what we'll see outside of spain too. That as corona fades and people go back to normality slowly, they remember the lessons and come back stronger. I think many regions will. But I don't think others can count themselves as lucky. So take care of yourself and your loved ones. Remember to relax. And if you're in one of the states or countries that seems about to do a Boog... Consider migrating. No sense in needlessly risking harm in such places. Go on vacation, enjoy the views, and consider fillikg a few forms to see if you get a contract far away from the pain inflicted by certain power hungry leaders. I wish you all the best luck. Good night.

Are there any? People not dying, that is. Is there even a scrap of evidence to suggest that the shutdown has saved even a single life? The majority of cases are people who have been isolating anyways, the majority of deaths are people who were so loaded with complications they were rolling the dice every time they go outside anyways,
Lets use deduction.
Virus that spreads like wildfire, incubation of 14 days not to mention time it can also spread. Kids from old people can get it. We have restrictions. Most people are not out and about. We get current situation.
What would happen without these restrictions? I bet my money on what virologists and scientsists have been saying all this time; More infections, more hospitalizations, curve no longer flattened and hospitals run out of room.
People can get hospitalized from corona and not die due to care. But if that shit explodes, people who could have been treated no longer can be thus ending in more deaths.

vast majority of infections are completely absent from the majority of data because the majority of data requires symptoms before you can get tested.
How do you know vast majority are are absent in the data if there is no data on those who are absent? If there was data on absent, then they would be in the data as no longer absent.
There are also reports of people dying of "pneumonia" without being tested if they were infected of Covid, so as people fly under the infected radar, so do deaths.

When the actual numbers that the WuFlu isn't all that dangerous became crystal clear.
75 543 deaths and counting yankees.

This thread has truly become a shitshow

Yeah and the shutdown was predicated on there being 26 times that amount. Oh man .001% of the worlds population at worst* has died from this OH THE HUMANITY OH THE FUCKING HUMANITY, lets stay in our houses forever because the Old People who will die of almost any disease that crops up every year might die from this specific one.

*And that is if you trust those numbers, because every other week there somebody comes out and says "Oops we are writing down shit totally unrelated to COVID-19 as a Covid Death, Oops the 80 year old Fat fuck who has had 4 heart attacks died of a heart attack while he had COVID? Better Blame the Cough and not the fact that he was heading towards heart attack 5 even if he didn't catch it."

What would happen without these restrictions? I bet my money on what virologists and scientsists have been saying all this time; More infections, more hospitalizations, curve no longer flattened and hospitals run out of room.
You mean the Scientist that didn't even follow the lockdown He recommended so he could fuck a tinder date?

This isn't February anymore you dumb fuck doomer, we have actual data on this garbage and each study, each bit of extra data has stated clearly that the WuFlu much like where it came from is a paper fucking tiger, the only reason this thread is a shit show is because the monkey brained twats in the Media read Neil's paper saying 2 MILLION DEATHS!!!!! and ran with it to get headlines and the normies panicked without thinking exactly what a "Total Global Shutdown" would do the economy because the talking heads on the TV Literally terrorized them into thinking that the WuFlu was more deadly than Ebola

If we lived in sane and rational times this story would have died out in March, but we live in God Damn Clown World, Honk Fucking Honk.

75,000 dead from the coof in about 2 months. Out of a population of 350 million.

People need to get some fucking perspective. Those are bad numbers, yes. And we should make China pay for them. But are they big enough to justify destroying our economy? No. We have reached the end of the line on the shutdowns. People need to suck it up and deal with it.

And all these politicians who have shown their true colors as authoritarian dick weasels need to be shot. This is a free country. It was founded on the principle that when the choice was liberty or death, it's better to choose death.

My issue is it seems like banning large gatherings like sporting events, general distancing guidelines like staying six feet apart and opening restaurants at 1/4 capacity, and advising old people to stay at home would be sufficient to flatten the curve enough to keep the healthcare system from getting overwhelmed without filling skate parks with sand, banning the sale of car seats, and literally flying fucking helicopters to remote campsites to tell people to go home. This is not a fringe idea, there was recently a paper out of Edinburgh University that suggested guidelines could be relaxed for everyone else if those 70+ stayed at home in the UK. It feels as though the goalposts have been moved from, "We are going to flatten the curve to ensure the healthcare system doesn't get overwhelmed", to "We are going to try and prevent every death by locking people in their homes until the big scary virus goes away." Somewhere along the line politicians' brains short circuited and interpreted "You have to keep away from each other," as "You cannot leave your home."

It baffles me just how bad the internet collectively has such short-term memory. I remember just a few months ago in February when the common mantra among Twitter and Reddit was unironically "it's just the flu, bro!", and that wearing a mask in public was racist against Asians. Vox deleted a bunch of their tweets from January-February that falsely predicted the Coronavirus to be big nothing burger, and it wasn't until some time in March when Trump downplayed it when the media did a 180 and started to panic like DEFCON-1.

The NPC meme so infuriated people because it was true.

Went out to a grocery store to fill up on Cat's food little jerks won't stop eating for fun and was it such an annoyance. I can understand why certain measures were taken but given the low number of cases in my area the whole thing just seemed like a needless annoyance.

Little notes of interest from [REDACTED]:
>Gov cleaning groups spraying parks while decked out on gas masks and whatnot (very cyberpunk dystopia, I approve)
>Masks are mandatory now and you can't enter stores without it
>Certain big stores are stopping anyone younger than 60s years old from shopping during early morning --I had to wait an hour to get in and by then the shop was filled with people
>No shortages of cleaning products, tp or alcohol but things were more expensive than the usual --I was better off shopping on a mom and pop store close by

Expecting people to completely shun human contact for months wasn't ever going to be all that effective, even if this thing was ten times as lethal.
As restrictions drag on for two months and counting in many places in the US, the desire for human contact/interaction seems to grow proportionately. Both @JosephStalin and myself have shared experiences of postal clerks interacting more with those still coming into the post office. Picking up my car from the repair shop, one of the managers and I talked about the latest goings on and the challenges small businesses face trying to stay afloat with reduced or no operations over the past two months. For now, people seem both eager and happy to talk to anyone who is willing to have a conversation no matter how brief.

I'm glad Kiwi Farms is sensible, there was another forum I liked to go and I was scorned for making the suggestion that the reopenings are a good thing and you won't get sick and die from visiting a clothing store, and that waiting for test kits/vaccines to come would be suicide.
Those are probably the same people that applauded head-scratching bans that make no sense, such as Michigan's ban on selling paint, yet think it's too soon to reopen any business right now, even if the risk of exposure/infection is minimal to none for certain business if they implement social distancing and other preventative measures as part of their reopening. 🤦‍♂️

People have been saying the coronavirus would be the end of Trump. Honestly though, I think its gonna be the exact opposite.
Over in the Lockdowns/Quarantines/Cancellations thread, I posted a cap from someone who comes from a die hard Democratic family and is already grumbling that her Democratic governor has extended stay at home/stay safe to run through May 28. While this might not be enough to drive Dems to Trump's welcoming arms, it goes to show that those Democratic governors that extend restrictions with no apparent end in sight are starting to alienate some of their normally-staunch supporters that usually vote for anyone with a D next to their name.

She has also unveiled her six-phase plan for reopening the State, and says we are currently in phase 3, but that we may have to go backward if we do not abide by safety measures.
It's nice to see that after 2-plus weeks of teasing, we finally have a plan. Without reading the details on pages 2-15, what was presented on the opening page in terms of eased restrictions make sense, as does rolling back restrictions should it be necessary. Whether the goalposts get moved remains to be seen, since that always seems to happen when the metrics suggest it's time to ease up some of the current restrictions.

How do you know vast majority are are absent in the data if there is no data on those who are absent? If there was data on absent, then they would be in the data as no longer absent.
Because of statistical extrapolation.

We have "sample" information from the USS Roosevelt that the vast majority show only mild symptoms and only a fraction show serious symptoms. More so, at least 18% show no symptoms at all.
That means that, give or take, 15-20% of cases in the US are people who have it without feeling sick, nor will they feel sick, and they will recover without ever feeling sick.

This also doesn't account for all the people with mild cases who stay home and never get tested.

There are also reports of people dying of "pneumonia" without being tested if they were infected of Covid, so as people fly under the infected radar, so do deaths.
People die of pneumonia before COVID, pneumonia is not a new phenomenon.

I dont know about your country, but here in the US our Center for Disease Control is telling hospitals to count deaths as COVID that have no business being counted as COVID deaths.

If anything, deaths of non-COVID pneumonia and heart disease are going under-reported because COVID is getting credit for other kills.

And over 200,000 dead in two months from heart problems and cancer alone.

And about 3,000,000 dead from all causes every year.

We don't put entire states under house arrest to fight the spread of heart problems, cancer, diabetes, strokes, falls, auto accidents, suicides, homicides, and hospital-contracted infections. So why have we damaged not just our economy, but our nation's social fabric, possibly irreparably, to deal with a disease that kills so few people by comparison?

These house arrests stopped being health-related a long time ago. Now they are all just political power plays. So are the reopenings. If you live in a state under house arrest, do YOU trust your state/county/city government? I sure don't. They don't care about me or my family. But that goes both ways. The geniuses who have put entire states under house arrest forgot when this happens tax revenues go WAY down - income taxes, sales taxes, gasoline taxes, hotel/motel room occupancy taxes, etc. Now they are whining like a bunch of whipped bitches. "We'll have to lay people off!" So? Tens of millions of Americans have been out of work for nearly two months, thanks to all those little Hitlers. Let those state/county/city workers learn what it's like to be out of a job and having to get by on unemployment. No fucks given WHATSOEVER. And NO bailout by Washington. These dumbasses made their beds, they can lie in them. Sleep well, motherfuckers. 🖕 Remember, you never get fucked as thoroughly as when you fuck yourself, as these little Hitlers have done.

I'm sad and angry at what I have watched the America I grew up in become. The America I grew up in went to the moon. This America fights over toilet paper, for God's sake.

I am worried that Trump will bow to the very obvious pressure to bail these little hitlers out.

"We forced our State economy into a shutdown state via gunpoint and now suddenly taxes dried up and it turns out Government doesn't have a blank check. Fire up the money printer and make it go brrrr for us or we'll call you bad names!"

The building manager for my apartment is back in the office full time, which I found out when I came back after running an errand and she came flying around the corner before I got into the elevator. She simply wanted to chat for a few minutes.

The idiotic governor in my state announced a “five point plan“ to protect our long term care residents, since 80% of the state’s deaths are from the nursing homes. It’s a list of things that they should’ve been doing weeks ago. If people can’t see now that he’s in way over his head and is mismanaging this along with our health commissioner who apparently doesn’t have any sort of health degree, but one in philosophy instead (?!), there’s no hope left for them. They’ll be NPCs forever.

Governor Tim Walz said:
Point 1: Expanded Testing for Residents and Workers

  • Issue new guidance on testing, screening and monitoring, with requirements for long-term care facilities to:
    • Institute consistent “active screening” practices for residents and staff,
    • Expand testing to all symptomatic residents and staff, as well as facility-wide testing when a case is confirmed or when multiple people develop symptoms,
    • Continue routine testing of residents/staff meeting specific risk criteria,
    • Amplify, expand and accelerate work on facilities’ action plans for COVID-19 cases among residents or staff, including steps for dealing with many cases,
    • Continue to ensure staff are trained on the proper use of masks and other protective equipment.
Point 2: Provide Testing Support and Troubleshooting

  • Work with health systems to create “strike teams” that quickly conduct on-site testing and necessary follow-up,
  • Coordinate with regional health care coalitions for immediate response and resources,
  • Coordinate with Testing Command Center to ensure testing supplies move efficiently where they are needed.
Point 3: Get Facilities Needed Personal Protective Equipment

  • Maintain state-managed cache of masks and other personal protective equipment for emergency use when a facility exhausts its supplies and is unable to restock,
  • Push out needed equipment for facilities facing outbreaks, and make it available to other facilities based on availability.
Point 4: Ensure Adequate Staffing Levels

  • Use a mix of strategies to get staffing support to facilities in crisis. These may include:
  • Utilize the COVID-19 fund and contracts to support “bridge staffing teams” of health care workers to provide temporary staffing,
  • Aggressively advocating for increased state and federal resources,
  • Activating the Minnesota National Guard,
  • Using databases to “call out” health care workers that can take on-call shifts,
  • Using incentives to encourage health care systems to provide crisis staffing to facilities.
Point 5: Leverage Partnerships

  • Partner with local public health to coordinate support and provide on-site technical assistance for facilities,
  • Launch a new case management model at facilities, leveraging local public health and regional coalitions to provide guidance, monitoring and support,
  • Make sure that facilities maintain strong preparedness plans, including plans to reduce disease transmission and limit exposure risks,
  • Require facility commitment to reduce transmission by excluding ill workers and those testing positive, and by excluding workers with unprotected exposure.

I've been enjoying working my essential wage slave job this entire time while listening to comedians piss and moan about how the clubs are shut down and they have to sit at home with their massive bank accounts.

It has been quite a while since I have posted on this thread, and actually really have taken much of a gander at the Kung-Flu in general. It was because I decided a couple of weeks back to clear my head of all of this Corona stuff. At the beginning of all of this madness, I remember a world that denied the inevitability of unrestricted travel, and piss poor hygienic practices. Now at least I am finally beginning some people starting to see the light beyond all of the bad policies that have been driving our nations for the last couple of decades. The unlimited travel, mass outsourcing of critical industries, letting fear and hysteria drive solid policy, and the continued destruction of our rights granted by nature/God. Now outside of all of the optimism though, still is a bit unsettling the amount of fear porn still being pile driven into our collective rear ends as the bamboo-flu still inflects her kiss on the populace.

Here in Ontario, they are still very hesitant on opening the country back up. The state of emergency has been extended till the 19th of May now, but hopefully we can begin at least transition into beginning to open back up. Trudeau used the ample opportunity of the unfortunate mass shooting a couple weeks back to ban more "assault style" weapons, along with chairmen Trudeau still forcing these draconian never leaving the fucking house orders down our throats. Bamboo-Flu is still TEARING our nursing homes up, about 90% of the fatalities are all in nursing homes. Our nursing homes have been shit for ever in a day, not too much of a secret, but this is bringing more attention on how fucking terrible the nursing homes are to the vast majority. Also the exploits in our medical system are more evident than ever at this point. In my area, they have expanded on the current hospital bed capacity, but yet most of the hospital remains empty these days. Majority of the patients with complications are the elderly and vulnerable, with over 90% of the deaths in my area being mainly in that demographic. Seeing the way the media has used this virus to create a partisan issue is also ridiculous. They eased some restrictions on some of the businesses and transit, but things are still halted.

I am still waiting to hear back from when my job is going to open back up, I am a bit worried about that time to be honest, because of how much economic activity has been effected. Seeing that we are probably going to see more of the windfall of the economic effects in the autumn and the winter, both not very good times of year in the restaurant industry. I wouldn't be surprised if this wipes out the jobs that we didn't outsource to China. Housing market bubble seems like it is ready to burst and we are about to see another 2008 event. Whether or not we'll see it in the ladder half of 2020 or beginning of 2021 is still a bit of a mystery to me. I've been stock piling bullion just in case of that possibility, better to be safe than sorry.

You have the forever stay in your house people still barking, despite the data that has been coming out, and along with the contradictions to their bad modelling early on. Seems like the alphabet clan really likes to still disregard facts for their political narrative.
Testing has improved, and as well our PPE situation on large scale has improved as well. I have seen a lot more people in face masks lately, as well the stores have some things in stock. People are a lot more spaced out, and there are more of these car parades doing their thing lately, "which is a bit annoying when you are a pedestrian." Outside of all of that though, I have optimism that things will begin to now begin to bounce back. Now whether or not we broke through the glass ceiling is yet to be seen, but watching the markets and stupidity from the corrupt media is giving me the strong indicator that we're not out of the woods quite yet. Strange that the Farms, a site dedicated to chronicling the behaviors of the Internets most exceptional, became the best source of thought in regards to the China-Com cough. Stay safe my fellow Kiwi's and when the pub eventually opens back up, first beer is on me. Cheers!

How do you know vast majority are are absent in the data if there is no data on those who are absent? If there was data on absent, then they would be in the data as no longer absent.
You don't, and that's the point. No one knows what's actually going on. Without facts and data, there is no right way to deal with this.

NYC accounts for what percentage of deaths in North America, and Cuomo was forcing assisted living homes to accept residents with Covid-19? This failure of a man who has been lionized for killing his own people is the source of half the data that's out there. Where's the outrage over someone doing the complete opposite of what elected officials are meant to do? He's quantitatively worse than the Four Horsemen of Wuhan.

America's been going through a managed decline for the last decade, sending all our production and manufacturing to China. We don't have the ability to create the public health infrastructure necessary to support the rubrics state governors say is necessary to re-open states. This plague has become a referendum on globalism, and a lot of people don't want to go quietly into the night. If they die, they die standing up for something.

I realize the rest of the world has learned to bend over, but the idea of standing up against cruel fate still runs strong in America. Despite the Communists socialists who want to drive the economy into the ground based on bullshit evidence, some of us still remember what pride feels like.

The data you cite is based on projections. First it was 1% - 2% of the population. Then it was 1 - 2 million dead. Then it was 500,000, then it was lowered to 250k. The projections are not meant to give a death count, they are meant to adjust behavior. They are wrong, they have been wrong, and what they produce is not data. It's a sales program. The people creating the projections have agendas and no one really cares for what they are selling.

So sick of the asinine whining from lazy creeps on the couches. Get the economy going again and put the country on offense. Claw back everything possible from China and give us a way to fight the yellow hordes back. I don't care how many of them there are, superiority of numbers only matters when you're fighting a demoralized, flaccid opponent. It's time we change the projections and take away the 48% of their GDP that washes up on our shores annually. If they want to build chimeras in labs, our response should be to take away their toys.

Thousand talents plan my ass. They're building a murder machine and the world is supposed to act like we're stupid. Fuck China.
