I've been taking psuedoefferon + flonase + zyrtec just to combat mine, and went to my allergist who gave me a prescription for ANOTHER medicationto fix my sinuses still swelling. I feel you hard.
Ever since I started taking 12 hour psuedoefferon in particular (my doctors uggested it) I havent had a lung infection in the past year when allergy season comes around. I wish I could stock up on it, but people make meth out of it so you know, im ready to eat the hell during a shortage.

I'm there, too. We have no winter here. Things bloom all year around. Use allergy medicine every day. These days there's a weed with some small yellow flowers in bloom. Happens every year, this time of year. Driving me up the wall, allergy-wise. Multiple Zyrtec=equivalent daily help, as does Zaditor for the eyes. I try to stay inside as much as possible these days, keep windows shut. This will pass in a couple more weeks, mercifully. Bought two additional bottles of Zyrtec-equivalent at Costco just in case. Can get a bottle of 360 for about $14.

WTF is wrong with Catholics? Everytime someone on my Italian side of my family dies, it's a bunch of goofy traditions. Stand up, sit down, kneel. Spin 2 time face cardinal north. I'm glad I was raised Methodist, god loves you now get out. Don't have to worry about the plague if you're protestant

Yeah but we get calisthenics every Sunday so we're healthier.

I find the run on hand sanitizers kinda hilarious in its own way.

Washing your hands with soap and water has empirically been shown to be more effective at removing germs/viruses and keeping your hands clean, yet most people bitch it takes too long and want hand sanitizer instead. Literal laziness.

Also, I completely believe that hospital staff are stealing masks and other supplies. Only Attendings and other higher level Doctors/staff make the big bucks. A LOT of residents and nurses barely keep the lights on sometimes.

It's not laziness wtf the problem with handwashing is it requires running water, soap and a sink. If you're out shopping or w/e it's not feesible to run to the nearest sink to wash your hands every time you interact with something or someone.

You need to use both but hand sanitizer is often more effective when you're out and about because you can apply it at any time. No sink / water required.

Well, it looks like my day in the fire is approaching.

Next week I need to visit a site that my company designates a "destination shopping venue", which means it is full of rich Asians and Middle Easterners. Greaaaaaaaaat.

Yeah this is becoming a problem. Respirators are selling for quite a bit on ebay and craigslist, so it's not only patients that are doing it.

A hospital near me had boxes of N95s mysteriously go missing from central supply and that door is locked with a keypad. Only nurses and EVS know the code, so...

Thieves stole masks from a children's cancer hospital in Germany. Not fucking Botswana, but orderly and efficient 1st world Germany.

The supply chain is pretty fucked. My nurse friend says her hospital in NYC is out of masks as of Tuesday.

Dang
Tornado has taken out local internet so I today drove out of town with my laptop and just found out Corona chan is twerking nearby

It's hard to drink coffee in the morning without browsing the farms.

Yeah, shit's fucked. Then nurses don't have PPE so they're going to stop coming in to work because that's hazardous, staffing is going to get worse, etc.

I still wonder what happened since we're on a different supply chain. The run on retail N95s should not have affected us. Were our medical distributors diverting stock to Amazon once the prices started to climb? Who knows.

Got this from a pal, dated 2 March. Have a link but for some reason doesn't get to this. Nevertheless, has some interesting info.

Investment analyst newsletter with a political slant wouldn't my first source for virology or market information. The entire racket is understanding your audience and feeding into its insatiable confirmation bias.

Maybe diverting stock to the reserve? Either way we are so fucked, they need to ramp up production and there should be a federal mandate to produce all PPE in the US.

The numbers out of SK appear promising because they’ve done such a better job at testing and handling the situation than the US government. They have 0.6% fatality rate so far.

Confirmed UK Cases are now 163, seems they're slowing when its updated to later in the day to collate figures for the govt action plan.

There's also been a conference between UK Govt and the supermarkets and trade association about stockpiling food and supply lines, so that's likely to start helping those in self isolation/household isolation.

UK midlands- Most asian exchange students wearing masks today including inside, more than usual.

Also learnt that some people wearing protective gear/hazmats went inside a student accommodation building where there's many east asian students. So the two could be connected. Hope it isn't here though.

Yeah I think the 0.4-0.6% CFR is likely in an area that's proactive about contact tracing and who doesn't have its medical system overwhelmed.

Social distancing and self-quarantining is probably enough to stop this thing from exponential growth, which is the only thing that matters.

Spanish news just analyzed how much american private healthcare adds to the end user's prize for testing. That shit's unnacceptable.

Oh yeah also

If you really want they have a vaccine for those who want to catch this thing in an attempt to gain an immunity and be a human guinea pig. You may be cured forever. You may just catch this horrible thing for no reason in an attempt for further your paranoid idea you can be two steps ahead of humanity's doom. I suppose if you already have it why not be a test trial pig for the cure because at that point, how much worst can it get?

Of course why do I believe probably only people who are well enough to not be quarantined can volunteer to be tested? Well, who knows I don't. Worth a shot if you value......
..... Whatever you'd value to go incubate yourself for science. Just FYI

It's a safety test so they won't add ghe virus, and it's a next gen vaccine (synthetic mRNA) so it won't infect you. These vaccines are quite safe. Which is why we're trying to implement them everywhere, but issue is we don't have a good framework so designing them involves a ton of trial and error. Emphasis on the error. It's certainly safe but it's probably also worthless. Being part of a trial involves medical personnel ensuring your lifestyle is proper so it doesn't affect the sample so if you're poor that's probably a good idea.

I get toilet paper is a

I've had to attend many catholic ceremonies due to friends and family, and this is eerily true. Sometimes I wonder id it's some kind of medieval party. Every few minutes you're told to kneel, stand up, sit down. Sometimes they tell you to pray to a spwcific statue, or turn to face the people at your sides and interact with them. They almost always gave leaflets for bloody prayer karaoke, almost all end by taking weird small white disks and sometimes they add alcoholic beverages to the mix. There's pretty colors everywhere and there's always at least one line made to the priest, sometimes more. I mean really, there's only so many slow motion congas you can add before it's just a rave for geriatrics.

As I told @Niggaplease. Seville. Just saying. If I worried 'bout my health I'd go there.

Read what is said after the red circles. Can't infect non-humans or survive on surfaces. KEK at that wannabe Nostradamus.

@FuckedUp
Do you not have anything better to do than browse a 618-page thread to rate entire pages of posts "dumb" regardless of content? If you think the virus freakout is dumb and unwarranted, okay my dude, but goddamn. You know you've given that rating to people who are also against the freakout, right? If you wish we'd all chill out, cool, try it out for yourself. Your activity feed is embarrassing.

Wash your hands, don't eat bats, relax and don't get coofed on.

There's always shit like this. Like the book published in the 1890s that featured the liner "Gigantic" or whatever hitting an ice berg or the seeming predictions of 9/11 on album art. It's weird and uncanny but it has more to do with artists channelling a zeitgeist than literal prediction of events.

Some "smart" people are claiming that this is a proof that someone in the government read the book and created this "corona hoax".
