North Korea is perhaps the one country on the planet that shouldn't have gotten this disease. They are likely the one country capable of truly controlling every square inch of their border. The coronavirus shouldn't have even made it past the landmines.

i was just thinking about the fact that in the JAMA report from the video i posted earlier ITT, it said there was a 4% mortality rate for patients. (the "official" numbers from here indicate a fatality rate of around 2%)

Stories like this take me back to the good old days of true tales of hatred and bigotry you could find on Tumblr. I always enjoyed retellings of very real events that totally happened written by people who have no fucking clue how a real person talks or acts. I had to do two work weeks in full protective gear and a respirator during a bridge demolition once. The first week was the tail end of a heat wave and let me tell you, those suits were brutal. Long days in the hot sun or under hot steel and concrete high up in the air. The bird shit gets so caked onto this stuff that when you begin tearing things apart the shit effectively vaporizes. If you don't wear a clean suit you will come out of a shift looking and feeling like a plague patient. And we were allowed to back the lift off every so often and pop our suits open and drink water.

These guys are unable to crack their suits and unable to take a break to rest their bodies. You're looking at soldiers in a forgotten war when this is all said and done. Hopefully the Chinese public remember who was trying to save them, though I'm not very optimistic.

The Type A suits. The big yellow full encapsulation hazmat suits, are the worst. You’re often wearing all or part of your bunker gear inside them. You’re wearing a Scott pack inside it. You have at best 20 minutes, but more realistically 10 minutes of functional work time once they tape you up. And the minute they finish taping the gloves you realize “shit! The guy who did the video made the point though that the study was sort of a manipulation of Data, though- at least that is what I got from it. It was 'looking backwards' for one and according to how he read the title they specifically picked subjects who were having complications and got the Pneumonia. Not just patients who were diagnosed with WuFlu et all. So the study was more; we looked at patients who got the worst complications, pneumonia, and these complications resulted in these rates. He even says 'many others had a much milder form'.

The previous study he looked at from the lancet indicated that 17% of people got the pneumonia as a complication. So this study would be looking at, from how he read the title, what the rates were within that 17%. If this particular study was done as he figured it was from how he interpreted the title it would be a 4% mortality rate in the 17% who got the worst complications?
