There's this #NoMeat_NoCoronaVirus trend (with trend not being in quotes because, well, you'll see why) on Twitter right now with nearly a million tweets

View attachment 1126796
and yeah, it's mostly Indian vegans telling others not to eat meat
Ironic taking into account the chances of this gwtting to India and how horrifying it'll be if it gets there. Don't think veganism will help prevent dick with your poor hygiene, fuckers.

China seems to bring catastrophe on itself-this farmer only had two days worth of feed for his chickens and since everything shut down he can'[t buy any. So his chickens will starve to death.

Chickens are on the Cull list anyway because they got hit with H5n1 bird flu too.

COOKED ALIVE
Terrified dog yelps as it is barbecued ALIVE in vile Chinese street market in shocking clip released by campaigners
SICK videos of dogs being burned alive in China’s cruel and dirty meat markets have been released by animal rights activists.

In one piece of footage, which The Sun Online has decided is too graphic to share, a person pours boiling water over a skinned dog.

I find it hard to feel sorry for anyone who are so cruel to animals.
:'(:heart-empty:
Asians, trying hard to make things a delicacy.

I just love western dimwits who defend eating dog on the grounds of "cultural differences" and they go on a rant how we are just as bad as the chinese.
At least those backwater Chinese (cuz' I know young chinese people would not agree with it either) could kill the dogs before they cook them. Is this SO hard?

About the prefab "hospitals" they are building... yeah, if those video's are real I see nothing good coming from stuffing ill people in there. It's gonna be used as a morgue more then anything else.
We are gonna see some crazy shit the coming weeks. Hold on.
Human rights breaches hea we come!

Don't know if this was already uploaded here but can't find it. If anyone can translate to english it'd be appreciated 'cause I don't have the time right now. Summary: more confirmation the CCP is lying their asses off, and either this warning was really old or they seriously still think this hasn't yet had human to human transmision, either way, absolute mismanagement of the situation through and theough.

China's about to inject 174 billion dollary-doos worth of liquidity when the markets open tomorrow. I wouldn't worry so much about an American bank run, but a Chinese bank run in the next week is a distinct possibility. I don't think China has the financial tools and stability to handle what happens in the coming weeks and months. Maybe no one does, with how interconnected our economies are worldwide.
Tomorrow should be the start of the largest conversion of Chinese currency to precious metals ever. $175 B sounds like about half of what's necessary just to keep Shenzhen from crashing over the next 30 days. And that's a conservative estimate.

People with money in the DB X-Trackers FTSE will probably lead the charge, it's been the most volatile and would likely be impacted the most. I'm not sure it's realistic to expect returns from it over the next 2 years, there's a better than average chance it inverts. That would impact all other FTSEs and primarily international investors would feel the sting. You only need a few of the businesses with a $20B+ cap to go under for this to happen.

While I'm optimistic the Chinese economy will avoid a 2015-style crash, a lot of it depends on the confidence of international investors. I don't think too many people want to ride it out with the expectation of long-term growth, I get the sense (here in the states) the sentiment is to sell at the first sign of a downward trend and buy in again after we've seen the floor. That has serious long-term consequences for China's economy, that I might go into in another post.

So to summarize: around 15k infected, officially an international health emergency, the incubation period is a little long and you are contagious during it. I exceptionalled myself earlier in the thread about the death rate, but my eyes always wander to the deaths-and-recoveries columns. 👀
tfw I'm a shutin living in earthquake-struck Puerto Rico anyway so the ghost of SARS is unlikely to ever reach me anyways
Hate to repeat this, but anyone still keeping score on that prediction chart thing?

The combination of street-shitting, lack of toilet paper, insanely densely populated areas, lack of clean water supply and the corona virus is quite fucking scary.

Remember, that Death vs Recovery rate is only for people who had it bad enough to get hospitalized. Don't freak out quite yet.

You are going by official CCP numbers.

It's very important to note China tracks the cause of death very differently than we do in the West. If someone has a pre-existing condition, that is listed as the cause of death, not coronavirus.

When they are saying bodies must be burned, this applies to everyone dying in the quarantine zone, not just the people listed as having coronavirus. Very telling.

The number of cases that would normally be in hospital right now is probably much higher than is seen, the medical system in china is still going to be swamped even after they get done with these hospitals.
I would be really curious to know what % of these patients are getting secondary infections, I don't think we'll ever know since they are burning bodies now.

I also wonder how long food will be in stock in those regions. With all transport on lockdown, eventually people run out of food and then shit hits the fan. Given how much faith I have in China, I wouldn't put it past that shithole if the water supply is contaminated, too.

It's hard to tell how bad things truly are, but if our general idea of the situation is correct, then the fallout from a complete and utter standstill of a vast area such as this will have a huge impact, too.
Was posted in a q and a that official supplies would be shipped to stores on a schedule and that each store has designated households who will be notified on specified days in advance to avoid stores being overwhelmed. Who knows if this has rolled out yet and if it will actually work.

Some of the death certificates are listing mental illness as the cause of death. It's a fucking joke.

A band of party officials was brought in to direct medical efforts. They are directing them in a manner that gives the appearance of everything going well.

I'd hate to get injured on a trip to China. Doctors don't have their own practices, everyone goes to the hospital. If you have a broken leg, you have just as much a chance of receiving a traditional remedy through an IV as you do having your leg set.

Regardless of the coronavirus, it's a very different standard of care.
