Also most hospitals in the US can turn their entire emergency department into an ICU if needed. Some newer ones can turn the entire med/surg unit into an ICU.

We're not China.

Not only that, many counties in the USA have their own Health Department, with a county hospital and satellite clinics. Our county does.

Since just about every hospital, public and private, accepts Medicare, and/or TRICARE, and and/or Veterans' Choice, believe if needed they'll cooperate with Government requests for assistance, make beds available, etc. We also have a lot of military and Veterans' Administration hospitals and health clinics throughout the country. More possible rooms and facilities for treating patients. Another valuable part of the US health care system is the acute care and urgent care clinics in most places. Outpatient treatment available, takes some load off hospitals and bigger clinics. Many colleges have their own version of an urgent care/primary clinic, with doctors., not to mention certain universities with medical schools and large teaching hospitals.

The US health care system is more integrated than many think, with several layers.. While not perfect, in my opinion it is the best in the world. Right now China wishes they had a health care system like ours. Sadly, believe they are REALLY going to wish for our health system, very soon, not to mention US-style water/sewer systems and sanitary codes.

The only discrimination I'm worried about is against the bats, They save billion in dollar from pest control, and help stop mosquito related diseases, good pollinators. People are only dying cause you had eat them when there's plenty of healthy sanitarian options. Justice for the Bats! (Unless it's a man-made virus, but I'm leaving that up in the air.)

In all seriousness I have total sympathy for the Chiniese people, but a lot of ire torward's the Chinese government, and the general wild-life trade that goes around in china, animals being hunted in killed to extinction for ancient "Tradtional Chinese Medicine", China getting excused for all of it's human right abuses and current ones at that while certain countries will forever be shamed for theirs. There's already been more cases then sars, and more likely deaths. Thank god Australia closed its borders. Chinese people virus or not, are still suffering under there government ran by Winnie the pooh, and possibly after.

The four alleged cases have been confirmed negative after tested specifically for Corona Virus. None of these people have the virus.

Two more tourists were isolated after presenting symptoms. Both came from Beijing, and both also were confirmed negative for Coronavirus, only a small infection. Both women are fine.

Students from Peru in Wuhan have been confirmed to be in good health by Peruvian embassy and they have chosen to stay there for now as they don't want to take any danger to their country. One of them says the Chinese government is taking all precautions to handle the situation and that they are taken care of.

Students in Beijing otoh, filmed a video saying food is hard to find, that they have certain freedom to move around the university, but can't leave to get food because there is too much control everywhere and that they've practically been put under quarantine despite being healthy (embassy also confirms they are in good health). They say the virus is spreading in the city fast, though. Because of this, the Union of Per. Students in Chine said that everything is fine. Which is a bit odd, but not surprising as they probably dont' want to be just abandoned by the Chinse Government to die there before someone can pick them up.

With Australia's population being >5% Chinese without even counting 'students' and the like, I'd say you are. I was amused that Qantas is only taking action because Singapore would have made it difficult to have their pilots and crew enter Singapore if they had also flown to China. That probably drove the Australian government decision too.

Earlier today, Qantas said flights to mainland China would cease from 9 February but it could bring the date forward if deemed necessary. The airline said the move was due to “entry restrictions” rather than the virus specifically.

Qantas will suspend its two direct services to mainland China from Sydney to Beijing and Sydney to Shanghai from 9 February until 29 March 2020.

“This follows entry restrictions imposed by countries including Singapore and the United States, which impact the movement of crew who work across the Qantas international network,” the statement said.

“These entry restrictions pose significant logistic challenges for rostering crew to operate mainland China services, leading to the need to temporarily suspend these flights.”

Don't worry, you will still get your top up Chinamen, they will simply travel to the Hong Kong SAR or other Asian countries first.

There's a 7th infected - another worker from the company where it all started.
Flight from Wuhan started and will land in Frankfurt in a few hours with 120 passengers.
Apparently none of the passengers are ill or infected (but they didn't get tested so take that with a grain of salt).
