I don't know about you guys, but I have the really itching feeling that this novel Wuhan coronavirus is going to be the harbinger of an extended string of bad luck for China. A lot of government shakeups that won't pan out too well, a lot of infrastructure failures, a lot of rioting in the streets, etc.

A little May-may I found funny.
My bet is on a nukeboi at Oak Ridge.

They've badly damaged integral infrastructure and caused mass panic globally. High ranking government officials have implied they're lying and downplaying severity, while social media has allowed their panicking underlings to show their panic to the world.

There aren't enough fucking eggs in the world for president pooh bears face right now.

They’re providing a flight out but you have to sign a promissory note to repay the United States government for chartering the flight. I would bet good money that congress will forgive all of these though. I think it’s insane we’re asking these people to do that though. I’m quite conservative politically, but isn’t it the governments job to look out for you in foreign countries? I just know if I was in China and this shit was going down I would sure as hell want my government getting me out and not trying to invoice me for it.
The woman in the video says it’s only for embassy employees. I agree, we shouldn’t ask or force people to pay $1k for a flight, what we don’t have the money as the wealthiest nation on earth to cover flights for our citizens?

Our state department is a joke, pompeo is garbage but idk why Trump isn’t saying to get these people home. If anything this is a good reminder the US government doesn’t give a shit about us outside the US.

Here's the official government graph of the spread of infection as of right now:

Can someone please tell me how to get these links to unfurl? I can't get them to for whatever reason.

Something to note about the Chinese is, apart from their shitty sanitation methods, their whole medicine system is crazy. Tons of snake oil crap, claiming that crushed tiger teeth and lion blood can heal you from the worst diseases known to man. They are part of the reason why tigers were super murdered in the wild. Their whole healthcare system sucks as it's founded on bare basic drugs, dirty floors, and medicine from the blood and bones of exotic animals.

Much as I understand the sentiment, this is actually kinda worrying? Because this is the one dude that would be given more medical attention than your usual commoner in this shitty country. And if he still died even with that, this doesn't quite bode too well...

Yea I don’t get it. They’re saying there are limited seats so they can’t bring everyone. Like what the fuck, America doesn’t leave people behind in China to die to some fucked up bat disease. We charter another flight and get everyone out who wants to leave. The embassy staff and families are leaving without a charge, private citizens will have to pay.

Anyone know how old this guy was? Kinda surprised even the officials are getting infected at such an early stage.

I was wondering when the elite would start dying off. The incubation period and mild starting symptoms will play merry hell with other elites, mark my words.

All I want to hear are status updates on the confirmed cases in the US. If they drop dead even after receiving medical care, then I'll grab the GTFO bag and fuck off to do some STALKER larping. I don't know shit about China and I'm not 100% sure I should be getting any information from A&H posters about it, but if their rampant bad health practices are even somewhat true, then I have faith in first-world Common Sense (TM) and modern healthcare to at least keep people from dying.

I agree that the biggest choke point is potential overcrowding of medical facilities. At least they have some time to prepare since the outbreak happened elsewhere.

Once people get into work on Monday and this gets brought up around watercooler talk, I suspect we'll see a huge surge of interest and maybe some panic brewing. There's also just the general distrust of MSM and the tiring of the "24/7 news cycle" that will probably make some people think it isn't that big of a deal, like the "WW3 IS DEFINITELY HAPPENING" shit from a few weeks ago.
