Calm down he's just being skeptical. That's not a bad thing, especially in the face of mass hysteria. There's at least one other person in the article who mentioned they wouldn't be surprised if it does turn out to be the case.

Tin foil hat time: I actually don't think this is entirely a case of the Chinese lying to save face about the infection though, and is likely just being overly cautious based off of a few outlier cases regarding infection. From my lurking, it's because the Chinese are (apparently) siting this specific case study* (apparently again, couldn't find a link but I'm going to assume it is real for arguments sake) as to why it is asymptotic:

'We encountered a patient who came to Hangzhou from Wuhan to attend a conference. When he arrived in Hangzhou, he did not have any symptoms. He did not have the typical symptoms of cough and fever. But it didn't take long before several colleagues he had contacted were infected Symptoms appeared one after another. But at this time, he still did not have the disease himself. After returning to Wuhan at the end of the meeting, he did not get the disease after another two days. 'Sheng Jifang introduced.

Thing is, if a few people around me have headaches from not getting enough sleep, then I bash my head into the wall and get a headache, that doesn't mean headaches are contagious, it means I was being an absolute jackass. We need to know what the other people were doing themselves before getting ye infection, and what that specific patient was doing on those two days prior to showing symptoms before actually coming to a conclusion if this is actually the case.

My neighbors and I have basic supplies stocked up for emergencies. Propane, food, water, extra clothes and basic home supplies. The roads get badly damaged every winter so it's just common sense.

Watching people panic is scary. People act stupid when they panic. I'd be surprised if there are deaths outside of China, but you never know.

Well, you live in PA so you should automatically be in full on panic mood because PA is trash, but you shouldn't get anything because being dead is better than living in PA.
 
I checked Home Depot and Walgreens for P100s, but they are all out! Motherfucking preppers and Mainland Chinese must have bought out the whole stock. I'm going to check Walmart and Northern Tools tomorrow, and if they don't have it, then I guess I'll have to buy them through Amazon.

Thanks for the list. I already have some guns that my dad passed down to me so I'm okay in that aspect.
The shittiest thing is this started to happen just 5 weeks before my birthday. My present is going to be my family and I surviving.

I made a nice list last page of all the kinds of stuff you can stock.

I'll admit, I left a lot of my ELE stuff off the list, like a full spectrum of textbooks from Pre-K to High School API books, Chilton's manuals, and the old British Field manuals.

But the big thing you should get is decently stocked first aid kits. If shit breaks down, you run a bigger chance of dying from a stupid injury or infection as you do from the disease.

Oh, one thing I forgot, that I'm going to add here...

Toothbrushes (4X per family members) and toothpaste as well as mouthwash.

Think of how stupid you'd feel dying of a tooth abscess.

Oh, and to back @DefCon Dumb a bit....

In your stock of "bored now" books (because power WILL fail, always expect it) you should have joke books, funny books for the kids, and amusing books for the adults. Don't stop the kids from making sick/dark/morbid jokes, it's how their little brains deal with everything. Also don't forget dice, cards, and Uno decks in your supplies.
