I don;t think this will get anywhere near as bad as China in the UK, US, wherever, because we generally accept medical advice, don't rely on bullshit folk remedies and refuse to take proper medicine and aren't grotesquely filthy medieval cunts in general. Our hospitals have better equipment (apparently they don't even have decent masks in these hospitals) and at least we aren't bribing doctors to get care. Nor are any of our countries anywhere near as densely populated as Chinese cities. All these things work in our favour and against China. They are the perfect petri dish with their habits, their incompetence, their overcrowding, their superstitious nitwittery, and their entirely self-centred natures which mean they are all too happy to skip quarantine and behave like perfect plague rats because nobody there gives a shit about anyone not in their immediate family circle. Low trust, low altruism. Not a good combination when you need cooperation to survive as a group.

The problem for me is the endless fucking Chinese students coming back and forth who cluster in the UK's biggest cities. They should be refused entry into the country until this is over. But this will not happen, I assure you, because these students are the universities personal milch cows nd money talks. They are throwing up endless ugly high rises in my nearest city, obliterating music venues and business premises to house the ever-growing foreign student population (most of whom are Mainland Chinese) who pay such wonderfully high fees that keep the bursars in those mid six figure salaries. Same with Chinese tourism, they are purchasers of high end goods and throw money around left right and centre. Then there are the business links everyone wants to kep sweet.

Cute
Never knew bats had fur though, always thought they had leather skin.
Their fur is far softer than cats or dogs. It's like velvet. Source: Had to handle bat who had given birth and her pups at construction job (moved them over to another area where they were safe with outdoor access, etc, she was gone the next day ).

But please don't get bit and wash your damn hands after touching them

When I was young, I cosplayed as the pyro from TF2 with an old WW2 gas mask...

(I always wanted a gasmask anyway...)

I hope there isn't actually some sort of mass plague but if there it it'll be cool to live on the hills like my ancestors before me.
Dumb. You need an NBC filter a shop filter isn't going to protect you from an airborne virus

In general, please don't touch them unless you've been given specific vaccinations. The one in the video was raised from a baby up and wasn't able to be released due to injuries.

Sounds like a false flag to me. Why would protestors destroy a building meant to stop the spread of a deadly disease?

banning wild meat isnt going to do anything

you tell mr ping that eating albino african vaginas will make his peepee hard then a dock worker will make it happen

Haven't heard any word on any cases in my state, but wouldn't surprise me if it's here EDIT: Oh wait, it's here now, but not where I expected lol.

Anyhoo, I got a thought today while sitting in church. I go to a single's ward so a good portion of us are college students. Wouldn't surprise me at all if at least one of them has been in contact with something during winter break. So during sacrament, you could hear a few coughs and a sniffle here and there, and then it hit me. Knowing now that you're contagious the moment the virus enters your body, and that we as a species are social and crowd ourselves into rooms with recycled air on a regular basis, there was somewhat of a quiet comfort in that we're all in this together, we're all going to die one day, and God is a huge fan of Plague, Inc. and wanted to kick off a new decade throwing us for a loop because, honestly, we deserve it.

Also even if my China package shit is 100% safe and arrives this week, my family's still screwed anyway. Got a little brother still going to school, another brother goes to my grandparents' house for the week so he can work a few hours in a retail store owned by the church that regularly helps out poor people, twin brothers who work in the same retail store (but have night shifts), and both parents are teachers, one of whom goes to a school in the capital in another poor area.

Those who survive this will inherit a new world, and will tell their grandchildren about this century's plague and the memes that equally spread just as fast.

My thread playlist contribution (catching up, if already posted, can't have enough hymns to send us off):

Nah. They're Chinese. Their next logical step will be to turn to TCM and murder another exotic species to extinction in the belief a tea made out of their legbones will cure the new AIDS, or to decide eating another animal alive is the key to it all, thereby creating a new zoonotic plague on top of the one they've already got. You know some chumps are currently thumbing through the TCM books, looking for which bit of a tiger, platypus or bat should be used to treat the bad chi running through their systems.
Nobody in this country has any right to laugh at antivaxxers when we have publicly funded TCM hospitals and universities.

Simple, if there were any quarantined people in there, kill them and we'd be putting those out of their misery, and curbing the disease one chard corpse at a time.

We'd just have to make sure the Chinese don't eat them.

Chicken of the cave

If there is one thing we have learnt from Ebola-chan, Corona-chan, rabies-chan, SARS-chan, MERS-chan, EBLV-chan, and histoplasmosis-chan, it's that bats are unequivocally friends not food. Not for eating at all.

I have bat boxes in my garden. Don't make me regret this, tiny snub-nosed friends.

There's a reason when people say they've got the flu and someone says 'mate, if you had the flu, you wouldn't be standing up at work right now, you wouldn't be able to move for two weeks'.

I thought most places expected people with the flu to still work and attend class.

I've spread quite abit of plague living by that mindset.

IDK. Organic, inorganic, acidic gases and vapours, ammonia, solid and liquid hazardous particles sounds pretty good (I compared the models of filters, these are ABEK2) but I'll see about it.
I think some sort of modded motorized wheelchair would allow me to utilize an NBC but that's gonna cost thousands so I'll probably take some loans out first (Can't make me pay if they're dead haha)

From the chans to anyone looking to buy gas mask filters
