So if you are in a sanitary location with adequate nutrition and care for symptoms similar to pneumonia, you will be fine.
I would think that wouldn't matter much if the hospitals and doctor's offices are full. There aren't an infinite amount of doctors, purell, facemasks, etc.
Maybe it's just me, and I'm by no means an expert in biology, but the idea of attempting to control viruses as weapons is the most exceptional idea for a weapon ever, and might even be one of the most stupid ideas of mankind as a whole.
A nuclear bomb? Sure, it's lethal. But it's predictable. Nothing some physicists can't calculate and control. It won't violate the laws of physics and be more than it should.
A virus? You are screwed if it gets out of control. They are literally the most lethal being on the planet, just above us (I know it's just one type, but still):

The idea that you could control something like that is a combination of pure, arrogance, stupidity, and naivety that is just mind-blowing. Even a child would know better.
Even if you somehow were able to make it so that it targets certain people or that it doesn't become too contagious, there is no guarantee that your bioweapon won't mutate and become a nasty monster that nobody could control and could quite literally be the end of humanity, or at least most of it.
It's kind of reminiscent of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Or Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog, lol.
If someone thinks this escaped from a Bioweapons Lab, then they have very low expectations of what a Lab would be producing. WuFlu qualifies as a lesser threat than the Flu; hardly the stuff of Dr. Strangelove. Coronaviruses are poor bioweapon candidates for a multitude of reasons.
The bioweapon fears are a little silly. Worry about an escaped bioweapon if smallpox suddenly pops back up or some strain of measles that smashes through vaccine immunity shows up somewhere.
People have pointed out earlier in this thread that not all bioweapons are made for mass murder. The concept exists of creating a bioweapon designed to simply fuck up the local population to the point that the economy, and possibly government functions, grind to a halt.
i think it's worth mentioning that people on twitter are continuously praising the CCP for building a hospital in 6 days instead of just popping up as many tent cities as possible in a distributed fashion in strategic locales which could all be put up in and around the infected cities in 2 days max. do you really want to spend a week in a hospital that was built in 6 days by that world-famous Chinese craftsmanship? well, when all you have is a hammer...
Yeah, it's almost as if though all those power shovels on already flat earth, building a hospital where they could set up a shitload of medical tents instead, doesn't make much sense. It's almost as if though all those power shovels could be there, digging, for another reason.
