If California mandated mandatory masks forever I'd imagine all it would do is split the urban-rural divide of the state even further.

You go to places like Placer and Inyo counties and they're super red and pro freedom.
Aren't those counties in the state of Jefferson?

I know there’s no point in trying to understand anymore
But I am really confused by the wildly conflicted messaging about omicron

Active measures. If you don't know what to think you won't even try, you'll just do as you're told.

I hear nuclear radiation does wonders to reduce COVID infections.

More news from Bongland, where the ride never ends!

Turns out money is low after funding all those COVID psyops, pointless nightingale hospitals, and other public health measures that were essentially pissing money up a wall (or into mate's pockets).

Fraud is popping up now too: some dude with a criminal record gets £50,000 Covid bounce back loan and buys Class A drugs

A noticeable amount of people have taken advantage of what's going on, and have decided they'd rather be at home than working. While the financial support schemes from Covid are only one factor, they helped contribute to this: The economy has taken a hit, and there's a high number of vacancies available but no takers.

The situation is so desperate that they are changing the jobseeker's benefits to try and force people back into ANY jobs quicker.

HMG needs to make money back for the usual budget blackholes!

The money has to be made back through T-A-X-E-S! They are hoping to raise 12 BILLION POUNDS during this fiscal year and of course, the average joe will be most affected.

And the gubmint wants fraudsters to repay the cash that they swindled during the coof craze. **Note that HMRC (UK government tax body) does not have as much power as the IRS does when it comes to investigating fraud, so good luck with that.

EDIT: Also, they HAVE backpedaled on the mandatory vaccination for NHS workers and social workers. As a lot of farmers commented, this was a game of chicken they weren't very likely to win right from the start. The NHS was already on its knees before the coof and they can't afford to fire healthcare workers due to their vaxx status.

Fucking rip though. It feels good that the hysteria around COVID has died down noticeably but now we need to deal with the economical consequences of these last two years.

EDIT: did some clean up, added some more links and updated the NHS vaxx U-turn.

The number of people who took out Bounce Back Loans to spend them on ridiculous shit is... unsurprising. Expensive cars, naturally. Cryptocurrency, a wise choice if you played it right. Drugs, fast food, clothes, phones, TVs, sound systems, just pissing it all away in the span of a year.

For those unaware, the scheme for the self-employed ran during 2020; it was a government-backed loan of up to £50,000, 2.5% interest rate, which you could repay over 10 years. The amount you could borrow should have been based on your business' turnover, but some banks just didn't give a fuck and gave the full £50k over to businesses with barely any turnover.

Very few checks were done, and a lot of people are probably going to get away with this, because of the sheer scale of BBL claims and how few resources there are to investigate.

Not to say it was all fraud... a lot of genuine claims there too. But none of this should have happened. People's livelihoods shouldn't have been burned to the ground because of our government shutting the economy down for the sake of a few - a few fat old blobs on their deathbeds already. And now our taxes and seemingly frickin everything is going up in price, cos this shit ain't free. Frustrating. I'm working more and getting paid less due to inflation. At least the mandatory NHS vax has been repealed, that's some good news.

I did see something funny on an FB comment chain this morning, talking about Spotify picking Joe Rogan ($$$$) over Neil (not so) Young ($).
I can't remember the exact quote, but it was something along the lines of "one of those guy's fanbases are dropping dead, and it's not Joe Rogan".

I swear, people who call covid a 'plague' needs to be launched into the fucking sun. It doesn't even have half the lethality the bubonic plague had for fuck's sake. It's akin to the fucking flu, COME ON!

And I want NYC to be pushed somewhere else. Preferably to CA.
Bubonic Plague had like 30-60% lethality, COVID has like 0.1, without factoring in the # of undetected cases, it's literally less than a fraction of Bubonic Plague's lethality.

What find even more annoying than the people who think this is a literal plague, are the "ZOMG THIS IS JUST LIKE THAT ZOMBIE SHOW I SAWW ON HBO!!!"

A small bit of news from SCSI's corner of the server rack that's relevant to the topic of covid vaccine injuries before I get into the legal news.

Heard from my mom the other day and found out one of my uncles has been having TIAs/ministrokes ever since he had the vaccine. Brother in law of another older family member has also been having TIAs, as well as cardiac and weird neurological problems. Don't know which/how many shots exactly both of them had. They're geographically spread out too, US west and east. Correlation isn't causation, of course, but the timing and health problems they're all suddenly having are pretty much a checklist of what's been discussed in this thread for older men. So... yeah, some pretty fucked up shit right there.

USA CoVax Mandate Legal News Roundup -- Big Rotten Apple Edition

Coincidentally as the non-shot Covid drugs were just discussed upthread, NYC is offering free home delivery of those exact things now. (Archive) From links embedded in the article, looks like it might be both the Pfizermectin and the sketchy Merck drug.

To continue the fight against COVID-19, the city will begin offering free same-day at-home delivery of antiviral COVID pill treatments, Mayor Eric Adams announced on Sunday.
The drug, Paxlovid, is a faster way to treat early COVID-19 infections, though initial supplies will be extremely limited. All of the previously authorized drugs against the disease require an IV or an injection.
The Food and Drug Administration announcement on Merck’s molnupiravir comes one day after the agency cleared a competing drug from Pfizer.

A ring of nurses who were forging vaccination cards got busted, apparently they pulled down $1.5M before they were caught. (Archive) Given what they were charging a pop, that is an absolute shitton of people, and has some very interesting implications for NYC's true vaccination compliance figures. Sounds like they're able to tell whose records were faked, which means somewhere between 17,647 and 6,818 people are going to be getting Class E felony charges for belated Christmas gifts.

Two nurses on Long Island are accused of forging COVID-19 vaccination cards and pocketing more than $1.5 million from the scheme, prosecutors and police said.
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney said DeVuono and Urraro handed out fake vaccination cards, charging $220 for adults and $85 for children. DeVuono, a nurse practitioner, and Urraro, a licensed practical nurse, entered the false information into the state’s immunization database, he said.
Law enforcement officers searched DeVuono’s home and said they seized about $900,000 in cash and a ledger showing profits of more than $1.5 million from the scheme, which began in November 2021.

Kids between 5-11 are now going to have to "Papieren, bitte!" to get into pretty much any indoor venue in NYC. (Archive)

New York City just expanded its vaccination requirement for some of the city’s youngest residents. Now, children between the ages of 5 and 11 will need proof of both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to enter some businesses, including Play Lab in Brooklyn.

“We have to ask for vaccination status,” owner Magda Lahliti said. “And if they don’t have it, we just can’t have them in here.”

Unfortunately, Spotify didn't quite hold fast against public pressure.

Joe Rogan has apologised for his sins too, and I would expect the overall quality of his podcasts to go down as he starts to shoehorn more ((state approved)) bullshit peddlers that are only there to satisfy the censors.

Japan's Kowa says ivermectin has 'antiviral effect' against Omicron, other variants

Japanese trading and pharmaceutical company Kowa Co Ltd (7807.T) said on Monday anti-parasite drug ivermectin has an "antiviral effect" against Omicron and other variants of COVID-19 as Phase III clinical trials continue.

The company did not provide further details.

The firm has been working with Kitasato University, a medical university in Tokyo, on testing the drug which is used to treat parasites in animals and humans, as a potential treatment for COVID-19.

Clinical trials are ongoing but promotion of the drug as a COVID-19 treatment has generated controversy.

The drug is not approved for treatment of COVID-19 in Japan and the U.S. Federal Drug Administration, the World Health Organization and the EU drug regulator have warned against its use.

Yeah.

1. That's the last time anyone fucked around and found out in any meaningful way.
2. No nukies, no Godzilla. Just imagine what cool stuff we'd get if we dropped more bombs!

What the hell ? Honestly
Well currently someone in my household in the young demographic tested positive but they only tested themselves because of an exposure. They are not vaxxed and I think may have mentioned a scratchy throat which also could be attributed to their smoking.
So I think we need to start believing what we see with our own eyes because nothing we read or hear in media is even remotely accurate

Literally this. Spam a bunch of conflicting articles, let the proles choose the ones that make them feel good.

Also the one good thing about the Spotify content warning is if I read it correctly, it will apply to any podcast about COVID. So some simp can have Fauci on their show and there will be a message to the effect that "this podcast may contain misinformation, click here to find out more."

There's a interesting article about RFK Jr's speech.
January 31, 2022

RFK, Jr. -- Crackpot or Cassandra?

By Sally Zelikovsky

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. recently came under fire for referencing the Holocaust in a speech he gave on January 23rd at the Defeat the Mandates March in D.C. After being slammed and shamed by his fellow travelers on the left -- including his liberal wife Cheryl Hines who called his comments “reprehensible and insensitive” -- Kennedy was forced into multiple apologies.
But what did he actually say that was so offensive? Like the boy who shouted that the emperor had no clothes, he exposed the Biden administration for its pernicious COVID policies -- and, in the process, risked losing everything from his stature as an elite, left-wing environmental activist to possibly even his marriage. That alone should make everyone stand up and take notice of what RFK, Jr. had to say.
Crackpot or Cassandra? Kennedy simply states the obvious: it is increasingly difficult to evade or escape a malign government or to even have our own thoughts about government diktats, when tracking and surveillance technologies allow governments to quash dissent in ways that were not technologically achievable for past fascist regimes.
If you didn’t know it was RFK, Jr. speaking, you’d think the words that follow are from Rand Paul or Josh Hawley:
If you give government the license to silence its critics, you have given them the capacity to commit any atrocity they want and to obliterate all the amendments and rights of the Constitution.
…They took away due process rulemaking. They’ve taken away our right to be free of warrants, of searches and seizures, with this very intrusive track and trace surveillance, etc. Oh, we are watching something now that I never believed that I would see in my lifetime. And I read George Orwell and Aldous Huxley and dystopian science fiction novels warning that one day the United States would be overtaken by fascism.
Fascism incidentally is defined -- Mussolini defined it -- as a merger of state and corporate power -- as orchestrated by Tony Fauci. What we’re seeing today -- what we’re seeing today is what I call turnkey totalitarianism. They are putting in place all of these technological mechanisms for control we’ve never seen before. It’s been the ambition of every totalitarian state from the beginning of mankind to control every aspect of behavior, of conduct or thought and to obliterate dissent. None of them have been able to do it. They didn’t have the technological capacity.
Even in Hitler’s Germany, you could cross the Alps into Switzerland. You could hide in the attic like Anne Frank did. I visited, in 1962, East Germany with my father, and met people who had climbed the wall and escaped. So it was possible. Many died truly, but it was possible.

Today, the mechanisms are being put in place that will make it so none of us can run and none of us can hide. Within five years, we’re going to see 415,000 low orbit satellites. Bill Gates says his 65,000 satellites alone will be able to look at every square inch of the planet 24 hours a day.
They’re putting in 5G to harvest our data and control our behavior -- digital currency that will allow them to punish us from a distance and cut off our food supply -- vaccine passports.
You have a series of rights. As flawed as our government is, you can still go out and go to a bar. You can go to a sporting event. You can get on a bus or an airplane and you can travel. You have certain freedoms. You can get educated, et cetera.
The minute they hand you that vaccine passport, every right that you have is transformed into a privilege contingent upon your obedience to arbitrary government dictates. It will make you a slave. [Italics added.]
235570_5_.png

I have never been a fan of RFK, Jr. and I don’t agree with his stance on vaccines in general and against the pharmaceutical companies in toto.
However, public pushback against the mandates and restrictions for over two years has exposed grave flaws in our public health policies and regulatory checks and balances, calling into question the trustworthiness of the NIH, CDC, NIAID, and the FDA. We have seen firsthand the harm they can do when fully shrouded from legal responsibility and are tempted by billions.

While I do not embrace the broad-sweeping accusations against Big Pharma and vaccines that RFK, Jr and his Children’s Health Defense organization espouse or everything that he maintains in his book, it is well written, well researched, and very compelling. He could be a kook but he could also be the one guy screaming that the Earth revolves around the Sun. He might be right about some things and wrong about others.
Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum, his Holocaust analogy was not inappropriate. It is perfectly acceptable to reference the Holocaust, Soviet Gulags, the Inquisition, Slavery, Jim Crow, the Killing Fields, and the Trail of Tears any time we can learn something from the comparison that opens our eyes and helps prevent other atrocities. That is the entire point of teaching and remembering.

Moreover, no one should claim ownership over some sort of entitlement to condemn wickedness. It is part of our shared history and belongs to us all. That some of us personally experienced atrocities, had family who did, or are members of a persecuted group, doesn’t translate into a right to speak out that is exclusive only to the victims. To that end, forbidding people from commenting about an atrocity because they are not members of a class of victims is specious and undermines the very lessons we seek to impart. Part of the human experience is our ability to experience empathy, compassion, and understanding. We actually can put ourselves in others’ shoes and walk the path of another. We have imagination and pathos precisely for that. What would be the sense of every documentary, movie, and novel if it weren’t possible to see something through the eyes of another?
As a Jewish individual who embraces her religion and has family directly impacted by the Holocaust, I encourage people to remind others of history’s horrors when apt, as long as the reference isn’t gratuitous, frivolous, or dramatic for the sake of being dramatic.
Admittedly, those lines aren’t always clear. Nancy Pelosi called Tea Partiers Nazis. To lefties, Trump really is Hitler. But when the Holocaust or any tragedy becomes politicized, we trivialize it and that goes against everything we want to achieve by keeping the accounts alive.
It’s not really hard to understand the left-wing outrage at Kennedy’s Holocaust comment once you grasp that the true goal is to undercut the pith of his speech -- that bureaucrats in the government, the Biden administration and Big Pharma have colluded and lied to the public, undermined our democracy, and happen to have invasive surveillance and tracking technologies in their cache of weapons.

Joe Rogan promises Spotify he’ll be a good boy

By Andrea Widburg

Joe Rogan, with his staggeringly huge audience, is probably a goldmine for Spotify. Neil Young’s challenge to him was always stupid. But when Spotify agreed to put misinformation labels on Rogan’s work, Rogan didn’t tell them to jump in a lake. He agreed.
I can’t listen to Rogan. I find him irritating. However, I have followed his trajectory. I noticed when he inked a $100 million deal with Spotify. It was a good deal for Spotify because Rogan’s audience share leaves all other news media in the dust.
I was impressed when Rogan had Dr. Robert Malone and Peter McCullough on his show, both of whom have called out the government’s and media’s vaccine narrative—and rightly so: Leftists claimed that COVID couldn’t possibly have been a manmade virus from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Not only was that misinformation, we now know Fauci and the feds lied about it from the start.
I could go on but I think you get the point: If there’s misinformation out there, it’s on the left, from Fauci on down. This means that Malone and McCullough were sharing information, not misinformation. They struck a blow against a narrative that ensures that the American economy falters, the middle class is destroyed, community connections are broken, kids are broken, and that our society is so destroyed that the only hope for saving it would be a vast government program that breaks our constitutional, free-market system once and for all.

Image: Joe Rogan. YouTube screen grab.
A few raddled old hippies (Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and some guy named Nils Lof... something or other), along with two more grifters (Harry and Meghan) insisted that Rogan had to go.
Spotify refused to kick Rogan off but it gets no moral points for that. Rogan’s a cash cow and the old hippies aren’t. As for the grifters, Spotify is probably already regretting its $25 million deal with them because it recently said it would take over handling their content.
Nevertheless, Spotify has promised to counter “misinformation” by flagging Rogan’s shows about COVID and the vaccines with a disclaimer and links to counter “misinformation.” In other words, it’s copying Facebook and YouTube.
Rogan could have taken a stand and said if you put any label and counter-links on my content, I’m out of here. They need him, not vice versa, and a good lawyer can break any contract. But Rogan, instead, even while acknowledging that most of the mainstream narratives have been wrong, has proven to be craven:
Rogan responded to the fallout on Sunday, saying in a video on Instagram that he was only seeking to have conversations on his podcast with people who have “differing opinions.”
“I'm not trying to promote misinformation, I'm not trying to be controversial,” Rogan said. “I've never tried to do anything with this podcast other than to just talk to people.”
He also said that he schedules the guests on his podcast himself, and that he would try to book doctors with different opinions right after he talks to “the controversial ones.” Rogan noted that he earlier sat down on the show with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the chief medical correspondent for CNN, Dr. Michael Osterholm, who is a member of President Joe Biden's COVID-19 advisory board, and Dr. Peter Hotez from Baylor College of Medicine.
Rogan additionally welcomed the idea of adding advisories before podcasts related to COVID-19.

The great thing about the last two years is that they’ve been clarifying. We’ve seen who hates America, who’s a mindless follower, who’s a racist, who’s a fool, etc. The masks are off.

I guess we might troll them wearing mask with some messages to trigger them like "Let's go Brandon", "Can you watch yourself wearing a mask on the mirror for 1 hour without being depressed?", "All we are we just an other brick in the wall", "I don't give a fuck about mask pollution, same about climate change".
That just reminds me of seeing a dude wear a mask with a middle finger on it. Or was it a penis? I couldn't tell lol.

Unfortunately, Spotify didn't quite hold fast against public pressure.
Yeah, I can see where this bullshit is going. You can't negotiate with or appease these fucking Covidians. First it's going to be these advisories, but in the adding of advisories is the concession Joe has done anything wrong; so it wont be long before they use this as a foothold to try to stop monetization or fuck with sponsors or unperson him in the algorithim or what the fuck ever. I've seen this play out countless times by now.

The only thing that stops these people is "No, fuck off. Cope N Seethe."

My dad's friend had a massive stroke three days ago, a week after he got a Covid booster. He had been a vegetarian for thirty years and jogged daily. Now he's completely paralyzed and cannot speak.

All of these can't possibly be coincidence.

What is your dad's friend's life compared to Pfizer's profits and the elites' sense of safety?

Seriously though, I feel for you. I can only imagine your dad's reaction.

"So what if they found you heart issues? You can't go anywhere without your booster, so PLEASE leave your prejudice behind and get Pfizer'd already. Yes, I couldn't even move after I got it, but now I'm fine! Besides, the next president is gonna be worse about this". Sounds like some r/thathappened thing, but it's what a familiar told me yesterday in a phone call. He thinks he's based, but coof made him go full cuck.
