A graph of the horrifying death surge in California:

View attachment 2874295

Yes, it's very obvious the right answer here is to go insane and cancel thousands of potential life-saving surgeries per day over less than a hundred deaths mostly in the elderly.

Looks like he got boosted sometime in December.
I wonder if it all exacerbated when they fired all the noncompliant nurse and medic to the vax

True, those values were cheerfully abused by men, and represent a clear power imbalance.
You know that's not true, right?

Ever hear an old dude talking to another man about an agreement with another man and the conversation ends with "I'll take it home to the boss and let you know"? The only women that were disadvantaged in traditional society were whores (single mothers) and unwed spinsters.

You tell me, who has the power in a relationship, the person who is rarely home and spends their labor to provide for the other people who live there, or the person who handles the finances (in traditional times, it was the wife who handled mortgage payments, utilities payments, and insurance - these things had to be handled during business hours, and the husband was at work), raises the children (in traditional times, children's socialization was learned from their mothers, father was working and only doled out discipline until the children were teenagers), controls what food you eat (grocery shopping was often done during the day - wife's duty), and gets to keep everything including your children if you fuck up in some way?

Yes, there is an argument that married women lost out later in life when the children were gone and the husband was still working, but that's why empty-nesters divorced their husbands and never re-married while having a string of boyfriends. That way, they could work, got alimony, and a regular string of dick to ride. But that trend only started with the boomers who failed to understand that long-term relationships require work, and that courtship doesn't end with marriage.

In traditional society, the women ruled the castle while the men earned the money to pay for it. Sure doesn't sound like women weren't powerful if you ask me. Oh, and if the family was targeted for violence for some reason, who took the beating until the police arrived, dying if necessary to protect his wife and children? Sure wasn't the people hanging out at home all day, was it?

ADDENDUM:
In traditional times, only one gender was dying in workplace accidents, literally working TO DEATH to provide for their families, and it wasn't the "life on easy-mode" gender.

I'm in my early 20s and would like to have kids but I do find myself wondering what kind of future my kids and grandkids will get. In addition dating is absolutely abysmal for my age group, which makes it more difficult to find a candidate to father my hypothetical children. A dating site/app for Gen Z that doesn't just propagate hookup culture (like tinder) cannot come soon enough.

Also, the people that are having kids are usually the people that shouldn't...because they lack the mental capacity to wonder about the future of the world, they also lack the mental capacity to care about any form of birth control or preventative measures.
Go to church and begin organizing picnics and potlucks. Host them in places out of town and demand volunteers to transport things and people. Forsake your god government and accept Jesus into your heart.

I say the last part in jest, but really, look to traditional institutions to find a husband. If that doesn't work, go get a job at either a restaurant or bar the local fire fighters or cops hang out at.

As for kids, the future will be however you raise them to make it. "Hookup culture" won't change if you don't raise your children to shun casual sex. "Drug culture" won't go away unless you have children and raise them to avoid vice. Government overreach will only be reigned in if future generations push back against it. It is darkest before the dawn, and even if the world looks bad, if you raise your children to be resilient they will weather the storm.

Other than random articles here and there, where do you people get your news on the virus or the vaccines?

If you want news on the legal slapfighting about the virus and vaccines (in the USA, at least), Bloomberg, the National Law Review, and plain old Reuters are decent first stops for articles. Local or regional papers are also goldmines to track action restricted to a specific area, like NYC's specific employer mandates, or mask mandates in a certain state's schools. If you're after court opinions and docket tracking, the Supreme Court's official website, Oyez, and Justia are all must-visits. Main page for the latter also has a legal news aggregation section. If you want commentary, Volokh Conspiracy (best one by far), Above the Law, Legal Insurrection, and SCOTUSBlog are excellent to usually ok (SCOTUSBlog has been getting worse at keeping their own axe to grind out of their stories the last few years and it's starting to affect the quality of their commentary, and LI is also partisan but so far holding the line on quality mostly). Some major law firms run their own news/blogs that can be good to hit for certain topics. Littler and Husch-Blackwell have been heavily tracking mandates, for example.

Speaking of, a little Sunday legal action.

Boston PD's ongoing dispute over Wu's juiced-up vaccine mandate has heated up a bit. Sergeant Cottone, one of the cops spearheading the fight, just got put on administrative leave. (Archive) The union's pissed, and it's also bad PR for the city -- if you kept track of Boston news after the 2013 Marathon Bombing, you might recognize her name and face. She was one of the first responders who ran into the smoke right after the blasts and started rescuing the wounded.

The Boston Police Department has put the most vocal critic of the city’s vaccine mandate on leave amid an internal-affairs investigation a week ahead of the jab deadline.

Sgt. Shana Cottone, the head of the recently formed group Boston First Responders United, is now on administrative leave from the department, the Boston Police Department confirmed.
Boston First Responders United — along with her workers union the Boston Police Superior Officers Federation and other city public-safety groups — is involved in a lawsuit attempting to halt the mandate. There’s a hearing scheduled for Tuesday on the suit.
Cottone made headlines several years ago for more positive reasons — she’s credited with saving a woman’s life as she worked the finish line during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Otherwise, the National Law Review has a decent, brief overview of Friday's oral arguments specific to the OSHA ETS private employer mandate that we may see a ruling on as soon as tomorrow. (Archive)

After listening to the oral arguments at the Supreme Court, we think the Court will likely issue an administrative stay to delay implementation of the first ETS deadline by Monday, January 10. U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar admitted that such a stay might be appropriate if the Court needed some breathing space (as it clearly needs) to decide the important issues presented here.
The upshot is that the issue has fallen on predictable lines. The six conservative justices appear inclined to overturn the ETS, though a handful appeared open to the idea that parts of the ETS were more likely to survive scrutiny than others. The three liberal justices would clearly uphold the ETS. We also believe that the more targeted CMS mandate is more likely to survive Supreme Court scrutiny than the broader OSHA mandate.

Serious question here: have any of these people ever once just admitted that they were wrong about any Covid policy matter? Just one time? What is it about accountability that these people fear so much that they can't just say "we made a mistake on this point and we accept full responsibility for it." There's no veneer of competence that they need to worry about maintaining because they're already widely distrusted by the public, if noncompliance with vaccinations and other Covid measures is any indication. The only thing that they can possibly do at this point to repair that trust is the one thing they're most steadfastly committed to not doing: being honest.

The sheer amount of time, mental energy, and money our government spends on lying is mind blowing.
Politics is just team-sports for nerds. If they admit they were wrong, they lose.

Humility doesn't get you points any more.

Seeing people walking around outside or alone in their cars with masks on pisses me so much.
I felt the same way, but then I went to pick up a food order one day and the place was full of delivery drivers. If they're in and out all the time, they get a pass, and you can't tell who's doing deliveries ("hot" food or other goods) and who isn't.

I recently started wearing a mask because I've moved into a public-facing position and don't want to cause a potential client to avoid contacting my employer. Caught myself a few times forgetting to take it off when I leave.

Somone on foot may be transferring buses, on their way to catch one, or just got off of one.

Yes, it's frustrating to see, but don't allow your bias towards the mask to influence the way you see the people wearing them. The only people to be upset about are those who make it their business to bother other people about masks (in either way, telling them not to wear it or telling them to do so).

Remember, part of the game being played is division. Don't get out played in the game of chess we've all been drafted into.

I don't want to have kids either. This world is becoming more and more of a dumpster fire every day. I'm not in France but close enough. For Macron, we unvaxxed are non-citizens. Non-people. No chance in hell I'd put a kid through this.

And I get why some women don't want a guy to procreate with when they can't be sure "Jim" won't suddenly leave her and the kids to fend for themselves because he found his inner "Candy" and jerking off while wearing stockings is suddenly the most important thing in the world. So many stories of kids having to suffer from these fetishistic dads calling themselves their "moms". Disgusting.
Things will only change if you have children and teach them to think correctly.

They're getting really sloppy.

If the point of this has been to make lots of Americans less willing to visit doctors or trust a single thing out of the medical establishment's collective mouth/ass, it is really working.

Just saw most of a large family group of moms talk about their covid experiences while pregnant. Shock, it was a bad cold/mild flu for pretty much everyone and almost none of them got the vaccine. This isn't a particularly conservative group even though it is for big families (you have to bow down to alphabet soup people and the usual woke BS).

--

In other news, I've started to think my paranoiac visions were true and something really funky is happening with vaccines and fertility.

See, in September, reports were that ~31% of pregnant American women had received at least one dose of the covid vaccine.

Now it's 4 months later. Newest reports say about 33-35% of pregnant American women have received at least one dose of the covid vaccine.

But...now we SHOULD have a bunch of pregnant women who were jabbed before their pregnancy began entering the picture, as well as women who are getting the shot during their pregnancy (may God watch over them; I have seen too many bad cases for that to seem sensible even for women with high risk profiles). Yet that percentage has stayed flabbergastingly low and hasn't budged.

Nearly 60% of women of childbearing age had received at least one dose of vaccine by July 2021. If you'd gotten pregnant in the month of July, you'd be 7 months pregnant right now. Why aren't all these vaccinated women now represented in the pregnancy numbers? What is going on with post-vax fertility, and how long will it take for the alarm bells to ring?

The only women that were disadvantaged in traditional society were whores (single mothers)
Not true.

If a man's wife has not borne him children but a harlot from the public square has borne him children, he shall provide grain, oil and clothing for that harlot. The children which the harlot has borne him shall be his heirs, and as long as his wife lives the harlot shall not live in the house with the wife.

I am becoming genuinely concerned that unless drastic action is taken immediately, we're going to experience an escalating series of crises that are going to make life far worse than it already is.

Federal Court judge orders immediate release of Djokovic from detention
Federal Circuit Court judge Anthony Kelly has ordered the immediate release of tennis world no.1 Novak Djokovic from immigration detention after overturning the federal government’s decision to cancel his visa.

Judge Kelly told the hearing a short time ago the decision to cancel the temporary visa was to be quashed and the respondent, being the Minister for Home Affairs, to pay his costs and to take “all necessary to steps to release the applicant immediately”.

Djokovic’s lawyer Nicholas Wood, SC, confirmed the tennis star was currently physically with the legal team at a location that is still unconfirmed.

The test is meaningless, it can't distinguish between covid/flu or the common cold. Your dad may have the flu and if its Omicron then he can gain antibodies to covid. I am glad to hear he didn't take the clotshot, I pray for his quick recovery.
I'll have to look into that. I'm optimistic that he'll be okay since he kicked it once already.

Asymptomatic California hospital workers are now allowed to go to work with Covid.

The Covid Cult regulations are becoming unsustainable.

Found this somewhat old (2020) article on some site called "Winter Watch":

A New Religious Cult Has Emerged: The Branch Covidians | Winter Watch

Branch Covidians love the lockdowns, rules, rituals and trappings, such as handwashing (baptism), mask wearing (Fauci’s black burka), social distancing, curfews and being locked up (BDSM and trauma based torture). The nasal swab test is the equivalent to the holy communion wafer.
The Branch Covidians also have prophets (aka profits) — especially Fauci, Gates and Davos mucky mucks like Karl Schwab. Cult members even buy Dr. Fauci prayer candles. You can’t make this stuff up.
Under the Branch Covidian system, chosen-one believers and their kingpins are absolved of all their errors and sins, and this lack of accountability feeds their psychopathy.

I sometimes wonder what will happen if/when the restrictions totally collapse. They've scared so many people so badly, it seems like there would be repercussions from that.
