I seem to remember in spring 2020 being told there was a certain pain medication we shouldn't take because it makes COVID symptoms worse or something. It *may* have been Aspirin but I have no idea. I do definitely remember that going around though.

Fairly certain that was ibuprofen, and it was born from some side comment in some research that people took out of context/ran with as legitimate.

Both are true. Assigning a motive to a virus is not exactly right, and the rot runs deeper - there was no reason for it to have left China, the presence of Chinese only serves to harm every Western country. They do not benefit the public. Chinese immigrants see a strong increase in their quality of life, and as we see, now, at clear expense to the natives.

Well I can tell you what's happening here and it has zero parts of fuck all to do with the hospitals being overwhelmed with Covid patients.

It's gotten so bad that even here, in Branch Covidian central, the government has had to ease back on quarantine requirements. Secondary contacts no longer need to test and vaccinated staff can carry on working even if they've been in close contact with a positive case.

If they dealt with Covid like every other respiratory virus in human history the hospitals would be fine.

After looking over how my healthcare provider discloses protected information about me without my authorization or an opportunity to object, I am now questioning why even have a HIPAA form when my health could be shared because of various reasons.

Aspirin has been around since before anyone currently living was even born. Most people who still have their brains intact should hopefully be able to see that there's no way there's no evidence supporting lower risk of heart attacks on a 100+ yr old blood thinner.... The research is out there and doctors around the world recommend using aspirin daily for certain clientele. Hell, most people trust the use of aspirin because it's been around for so long.

Its also amazing how, "despite" the Chinese censorship of scientists explicitly critical of the CCP/Chinese govt, most of the literature coming out of China about COVID all seemed to play-up and over-estimate the severity of COVID.

That was when I stopped worrying, because the stats out of Italy and from cruise ships all agreed with each that this virus was just another swine flu, yet this was the same month that plenty of people on this site tried to argue that we needed lockdowns to save everyone from some deadly virus. March 2020 was a weird month.

The cruise ships were giving misleadingly grim information, because old fats are over-represented in cruise ship customers.
When almost a thousand US Navy sailors caught COVID on a single ship and just one of them died, that's when it really shined as a nothing burger.

Most likely it's for the optics, to show that if literally everyone is vaccinated then the coof will be eradicated. It's a powerful message, force the jab on everyone and be done with Covid.

Alternatively they're wanting a control group for the variant vaccines they have in the works. If a new strain rips through the fully vaxxed population they'll know it's time to roll out the new brand.

It's definitely got nothing to do with efficacy, their determination to entirely eliminate the control sample makes any such study pointless.

Not much of a control sample if everyone else in their community is vaxxed though. You'd have to have a second village where nobody is vaxxed.
