I can't say for Australia and New Zealand but I think Taiwan will open up once they vaccinate enough people. Because if they turn into a hermit state they would collapse their economy and invite a Chinese invasion, the whole country is run by American bootlickers and would never allow that.
Yeah, Taiwan will do the same as the other affluent east Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, Singapore) and will take their time with vaccine trials instead of ramming them through and then slowly open up first to neighboring Asian countries as vaccination progresses. Australia and New Zealand are basket cases with no long-term plans to speak of.

You assume we even will be able to look at things in retrospect instead of just hear the endless parroting of the narrative for all eternity. See, so much of society is digital these days and as we move to the cloud, the ability to destroy or otherwise seal information for good becomes easier and easier. A lot of the shit in this thread would exist as diary entries in the pre-digital, diaries that would survive in their descendant's attic for many, many years to come and later become invaluable resources to historians. Not anymore. Once they scrub the servers or the servers become irrepairable, good luck finding the information again. Maybe it's on a hard drive somewhere, better hope the information from that can be recovered.

Maybe there will be servers on the dark web somewhere which will store this information and let it be accessible to those who know it exists, but I bet they'll go for that too. I wouldn't be surprised if it's easier to download TBs of child porn decades from now than it will be to read through archives of 21st century history (assuming child porn isn't legalized thanks to the pedosexual rights movement of course).

And you better hope it even can be read to begin with. Say the United Globohomo Nations of Earth collapses in the year 3021 and a century later people want to research it's formation during the Great Reset. Well, there's no compatible technology to read 21st century hard drives and the schematics for compatible tech simply don't exist anymore.

Given the challenges of digital preservation and how we can digitally preserve things, history and historiography is easier to manipulate than ever before. It's very possible that selective purges of information combined with the natural breakdown and decay of storage media means that researching the 21st century AD will be as challenging as researching the 21st century BC. All records that state false narratives will not exist, it will simply be reduced to "grumbling by far-right conspiracy theories afraid to enter the Superior Future."

Stories, oral records? You better hope your family passes them down and don't just say "grandpa was a Nazi conspiracy theorist, thank Science his kind died out." Historians can just say "oh, well this is a guy who believed the misinformation and conspiracy theories, look how ridiculous he sounds to us enlightened people who actually know what happened in the COVID-19 pandemic." You will be potrayed in the same category as all of history's crazy religious freaks and conspiracy nuts and pseudoscientists, a record of how ridiculous the people who opposed the Great Reset were.

Now I do think that if such a future doesn't come to pass or if the world order of Great Reset crew collapses it will be possible to reconstruct the history they tried to erase, but it would be very challenging. It's like how the only records we have of so many groups of people or religions are the records written by their opponents. This radical revisionist history would probably be impossible to prove with the records that we'll have left even if they'd consider it a compelling theory.

I think the very fact that the history we are living through can be destroyed with no trace it ever existed among the most terrifying thoughts. It's the destruction of truth itself.
Do not forget there are systems still running 1950s to 1980s hardware and soft ware. It cant be replaced. No one knows how to fix it. All the can do is make more systems desgined to talk to old stuff and hope it doesnt shit it self.

Tech debt is a real thing.

had to go to the animal emergency and vet multiple times these past 6 months.
does every place in North America have retarded policy that you can’t go inside the hospital with your animal and have to wait outside in your car?
At this point, they aren't even allowing men in the hospital when their partners are giving birth in some cities.

The elites are sick people they want to keep families apart even when new members are born. People need to wake up and stop following their governments covid laws. If we don't push back and refuse to comply we will be slaves.

Have you watched V for Vendetta lately?

I literally can't tell if this is a parody or Biden's house nigger troon.
That in and of itself is scary.

It's not enough for Poe's Law to exist on the internet; it has to exist in real life too.

Poe's law is an adage of Internet culture stating that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, it is impossible to create a parody of extreme views so obviously exaggerated that it cannot be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of the views being parodied.

The latest bullshit from the county I live in. To be sure, didn't see much change in freeway traffic or store traffic under the most recent house arrest order. I sure ignored it. Guess "they" are realizing people are just ignoring their ukases. And, of course, "they" will keep using their "tiered system" to continue fucking us over.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CARMEL PINE CONE

CDPH CONFIRMS STAY-HOME ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED

It's official now. The California Department of Public Health has announced the end of the stay-home orders that went into effect in mid-Decemeber. The tiered system is back in effect. (Just more bullshit. They can go bite my crank. - JS)

We will continue monitoring developments and provide additional updates whenever they are needed.

I couldn’t get someone to drive me a couple of times, and had to sit outside in the cold, waiting for our turn at emergency clinic, trying to keep my pet warm.
What if I got a fucking pneumonia, would that be better than coof?
Also, many places here don’t allow even their clients to use washrooms, so you can shit outside their door, I guess, that’s safer.

Circus of virus, I’m not entertained anymore.
Vet down in Florida let my parents in to pick up the family dog, but my brother, his fiance and I had to wait in the parking lot.
Fortunately its Florida so the weather was like 65*F and partially cloudy despite being January.
The island nations that have managed to eradicate the virus, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, are facing something of a dilemma.
They haven't even eradicated it; they have sealed themselves into a semi-permeable bubble with new infections that keep popping up anyways. Below is a screenshot that in spite of everything New Zealand, the country with a population smaller than NYC and a density more sparse then Missouri, has done in the names of lockdowns & mandates and the virus is STILL managing to spread (Nature Finds A Way).
Simmons Map - Copy - Copy.JPG

Its almost impossible to eradicate a highly contagious airborne disease with an animal reservoir outside of everyone living as solo hunter-gatherers for at least a year (which wouldn't work for logistical reasons) and also went about a complete baticide (which then we would likely die of much worse mosquitoborne illnesses). Even if one nation/geographic area could successfully isolate, they merely kick the ball down the road until they inevitably get hit with some Sarbecoronavirus SARS-CoV-20XX strain (see Indigenous Americans & Smallpox)
(I'm not disagreeing with you FYI; just trying to add to your point)
The great hope is vaccination. But as any reputable immunologist will tell you, permanent immunity from Covid is an impossibility. So when they do eventually open there will be outbreaks. They may not be as bad as without a vaccine, but there will be a lot of old and fat people dying with positive PCR tests for Covid. How are their governments planning to deal with this?
Ehhh on one hand I still kind of think that prior infection/vaccination will give resistance (much weaker or non-existent symptoms, to anyone with a working immune system). I think its more a matter of the virus being transmissible in spite of an incomplete infection and/or being BTFO'd by the bodies immune system; than magical anti-immune properties that use Jedi mind tricks on the T-cells & B-cells.

On the other hand when the elites want this to go away I think they will stop assuming any dead with a positive COVID test = died of COVID, and start being more prejudiced about how they count the oldfats dying post-vaccine. (Hopefully :optimistic: )

Thankfully no. One of my pets had hit a year one anniversary with issues I couldn't diagnose, and helpful folks on forums were left scratching their heads as well. The local vet is known for being a bit too eager to euthanize animals even if it's something fixable or curable, but I called them anyway out of desperation. I was told I'd have to drop her off, leave her there for 2 days, and couldn't speak face to face with anyone, and that just wasn't going to happen. I didn't trust them to make sure she was fed or hydrated, let alone handle her properly given her problems. I made a lot of phone calls and eventually found a place (a bit of a drive away) where I was allowed in with my pet, and my fiancé was allowed in as well. It was a nice environment, staff was super friendly, and no one was wearing a mask unless they were going to perform surgery.

My pet got a cancer diagnosis. In hind sight I'm glad I got to have a Kim Kardashian ugly cry around staff who actually gave a damn instead of some muzzled up robot who would have tapped on the car window to say, "It's cancer. Do you want to euthanize today?" Pet is alive and well right now. I might have a few months left with her, or a few years if I'm lucky.

I'm in Georgia, and while there's a decent amount of paranoid dumb-dumbs who wear their masks while they're in the car alone, or out jogging alone, or at the gym alone, business owners for the most part are over the bullshit. There are a few shops that require a mask but they're all chains so they don't get a say in the muzzle mandate.

I'm sorry about your pet but I'm glad you were able to be with them for the diagnosis and I hope the cancer goes into remission (which is possible depending on the type).

Right on Schedule, COVID Pivots for Biden

By Brian C. Joondeph, M.D.

Imagine changing the rules in the middle of the game, so that hits rather than runs, or first downs rather than touchdowns, determine the game winner. That is exactly what is happening with COVID reporting, just as many of us predicted. This confirms the lingering question of how much of COVID was about the actual virus versus a political club to hurt President Trump and drive him from office, quite successfully.
As an interesting coincidence, the first case of the novel coronavirus arrived in the U.S. on the same day the House walked articles of impeachment to the Senate. The next impeachment was based on Trump’s supposed calls for violence at a pre-planned Capitol riot just before Congress was to certify (or not) the Electoral College vote, the riot blamed on a speech he gave after the rioting already started.
In politics, there are no coincidences, and the recent rule changes for tallying COVID case are no exception. What happened after Orange Man went from bad to gone?

The World Health Organization, on Biden's inauguration day, released a notice that the COVID PCR test was overly sensitive based on its cycle threshold. A positive result, rather than simply being added to the case counts broadcast constantly by Fox News and MSNBC, must consider other factors such as test specifics, symptoms, and patient history, as would be done for most other laboratory tests in medicine.
Lowering the cycle threshold means fewer cases going forward, not due to anything Trump or Biden did or did not do but simply because of a new way of counting cases. Interestingly this notice was created on Jan. 13, but not released until Jan. 20, Biden's inauguration day. What a coincidence!
Did the basic concept of interpreting a medical test based on context just dawn on the medical experts at the WHO? Physicians do that all the time. A single high blood pressure reading in the doctor’s office may be due to “white coat syndrome” rather than true hypertension and is viewed in that context.
