It's like he's incapable of drawing backgrounds. Also, its pretty funny that even comic Megan is uncomfortable by Chris touching her.

Am I the only one puzzled by Megan on this page? In particular the "Wow! Too much." No doubt we would all be weirded out if Chris touched us or tried to make us his sweetheart. But from what I can tell it is Megan who grabs Chris's hand and Meg who asks him if everything is alright. His response isn't too out there. Unless she is psychic and read his "My sweet friend" bit she really has no reason to be freaked out.

Of course getting next to a man who smells like rotting watermelons would be off putting in general.

Chris was drawing more and more influence from anime/manga this time and characters saying that is actually something you see a lot. It's a weird but pervasive translation and Chris ripped it off without realizing that English was his first language and he could do something much better with it.
