The first one actually looks professional

Also, remember when every PBS station had their own unique identity? Here's some examples:

The DeviantART redesign hurts my soul. It's ugly, it's slow to load, and every time I make the mistake of trying to use it I find a new flaw. They made it less intuitive in every possible way.
Latest issue I ended up finding was when reorganizing a gallery into categories. Even though I added them to it in order, they still appeared in the folder out of order. How do you even manage that? Also don't dare do that with your favorites, it'll re-notify the poster like you had just favorited it.
Also, incredibly niche example but it's what came to mind. There's an organisation in Wales called the Urdd, that runs creative and musical events, notably the Eisteddfod. Their mascot is basically just their logo with arms and legs, called "Mr Urdd"
At some point after my time in school they redesigned him and I find it rather uncanny.

The redesign went over poorly. The redesigned Lobo killing the old Lobo outright pissed people off. Pissed people enough that they walked it back and had the old Lobo come back and kill bishie-Lobo. New 52 was abject fucking retardation on DC's behalf.

Its probably beating a dead horse at this point, but I've still never gotten over the JJ Abrams redesign of the original USS Enterprise.

Press releases from the era say they wanted to make it look more like the 1979 movie Enterprise but, well, you tell me:
The TMP Enterprise is also a little bonus. I personally love the design, but the designer of the first one, Matt Jefferies, really didn't to put it bluntly. Matt Jefferies claimed that they had turned the Enterprise into "the lobby of the Hilton", and said that not only did he fall asleep during the first movie, he never watched any Star Trek made after that.

Um, that's not Alucard, that is Egon from The Real Ghostbusters cosplaying as the cover of Treasure Master.We're all familiar with the bishonen version of Alucard from the Castlevania series (the Dracula's Curse version looked different), but the Captain N version was a nightmare.

Anybody remember Cartoon Network's FusionFall? Basically, it was Cartoon Network's own Kingdom Hearts but as an MMO. Almost all of the most well known CN cartoons from the 90s-2000s were featured. The twist was, all of them were redrawn in an anime style.
