Do any of you kindly spergfolk play WoT? It's frustrating as fuck, but always more fun if you've got friends to platoon with. I'm Hellblazer49 on there. Not the greatest player in the world, but I like to think I know what I'm doing better than the average pubbie lemming.
 
I've considered starting playing the greatest achievement of Belarusian game development, but I've heard that the game is very addictive so I decided not to do it.
Practically all my friends at university play WoT and occasionally spend money on premium items, though.
 
I know @Leonid Brezhnev plays, but I thought I'd bump this in case any of the influx of new users plays the game. Plus I'm so desperately lonely.

Challacommunist on the EU server here, still barely breaking a 49% win rate overall but I'll fucking rape anyone in my VK 36.01(H) with dat 75mm Konisch. I'm fucking pumped for patch 9.5, all those 17-pounders are going to be glorious.

I find it really interesting to see how many people spend money on the game. I've been playing for two and a half years and never spent a penny. Wargaming gives away Gold in special events every few months anyway, and now that you can buy Gold Ammo for credits (I only ever keep a small supply, for when I'm bottom-tier in whatever tank I'm playing) I see no need to spend real money on the game. Then again, WG has to make money somehow and my view has been shaped by being poor for a long time, so meh.
 
I've spent cash before on premium tanks as little gifts to myself a couple of times when things go well, the tank is on sale and I'm not completely broke. People who spent real money on premium ammo in the old days were insane.

I've bought my TOG, an SU-100Y, and an FCM Pak40, and haven't regretted any of the purchases in the least. They're a blast to play.

Looking forward to 9.5, too. It's ridiculous that it took this long for the Firefly to show up.

This has been one of the many games I've been looking at. My main problem (as usual) is free time.
 
It is a major time suck- lots of grinding, though the grinds are usually fun.
 
I put a bit of money into my WOT account a few years back, and just loaded up on one thing. A ton of garage slots. Course now I have far too many tanks to know what to do with, oh well.

Still go back and play it for a few days every few months now and then. US server.

I don't do the thing where all my online accounts have the same name, it's just that my WoT account predates my Kiwi existence
 
I bought the TOG.That's about it. I royally suck so much most matches, and then I have those rare moments of hitting everything with arty.

What arty are you using? I love it when heavy tank drivers start bitching in chat and calling me a 'clicker' for punishing them for standing still too long.
 
G.W. Tiger (P). I switch between that and M44. I love the German accuracy and damage, hate the reload.

Skycancer is just too fun to play.

Indeed. I have an S-51 (I call it The Wrath of a Drunken God because of the damage/inaccuracy combo), M44, M12, and a Bishop. It's nice how the different lines have different feels to them, rather than just being all kind of the same.
 
You better be loading gold with all of that firepower. Make them hate you.
 
I am apparently hacking, given that I can estimate the location of a tank, assuming it hasn't moved due to being tracked.

"Arty faggots ruining the fucking game" was my favorite chat line earlier today when a friend and I tag-teamed him with our Bishops and kept him perma-tracked until he eventually died.
 
Goddam so this thread is too small. Before I became a productive member of society, my parents would not pay for a new gaming computer for me. So I played world of tanks all day. Spent years on that game to the point I have many tier 10 tanks. However the graphics have gotten better and improved light tanks but the lol factor like shittalking the enemy has been removed. Also making new premium tanks overpowered and fucking over artillery players has ruined the experience for me. I appreciate tanks a lot after playing this game.

Eh, played this game since beta, up until they made gold ammo buyable with normal currency. Was a fun game, though the spotting system was complete garbage.

Moved onto War Thunder, which is better to me, except the shift to modern era sucks balls.

Same, I don't like how cheap WoT feels. I only hopped on to zip around in the Renault FT and its arty equivalent, otherwise War Thunder has much more weight to its fighting.
