So now that the game's been out for a while; Was the gameplay and story solid enough? I'm more curious about your opinion than anyone else's.

It's hard to say if you're being sarcastic. But, honestly I'd say as co-op gameplay went it was alright it worked well and the story itself was "meh" at best. Not that I expected a ground breaking story from a Wolfenstein series, but it had some ideas I kinda hope get expanded in Wolf 3 (the whole Hitler murder/Parallel worlds thing). Honestly, if I had complaints, I'd say the game's price is what really bugs me, this game doesn't really justify the 30$ if this was sold for say a price of 20$ like Old Blood was, I'd say you'd have maybe a fun, yet very short, experience. With the price of 30$, you are getting a campaign you can finish really fast when you go for the main story, hell even the main boss isn't that hard once you learn the pattern of his 2nd phase as me and my friend killed the bugger on our 3rd try. Overall, it's just really "okay" but just very forgettable

I get that a lot, but it's not my problem.

Alright, thanks.

No, there is a secret Jewish cabal with magic super science trying to guide humanity to a future based around free trade and a single government....

Yeah... that was canon.
I think that's the most absurd part about these games.
I mean when you think about it 1. that is literally something out of the fevered fantasy of a Neo-Nazi and 2. it kinda makes the actual Nazis right about something.
There really is an international jewish conspiracy against Germany. Hitler was more on the mark than he realized in the new Wolfenstein universe.
I'm sure it wasn't intentional but I find it hilarious that this woke nazi killing power fantasy has a plot point that wouldn't be out of place on Stormfront.
And on an unrelated note The Old Blood was actually really good and it makes me wish they just stuck with WW2 instead of this stupid nazi controlled 60's setting.
Seriously though I would put The Old Blood up there with Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

From what I've seen of young blood, its just an east coast numale power fantasy simulator, the character and story design itself done specifically to please game journalists because the studios usually get a cash bonus when they get good meta-critic scores. It would be nice if they brought the franchise back to basics with the Indiana Jones style fighting the SS paranormal division over some magical bullshit that they plan to weaponize. I also find it funny how sniper elite can make ww2 games much more mature and well throughout, sniper elite v2 was essentially a radical centrist sim because you got to kill Nazis and commies which was more refreshing than just shooting the same lighting bolt clad asshole from 500 meters away for the millionth time.

Wolfenstein Nazis have a moon base, power armors and giant robots, which means they're right about everything. The suppression of civil liberties, genocide and any crime against humanity can be excused if it's committed in the pursuit of building functional giant robots.

Not just the Moon, they colonized fucking Venus
What's next? Wolfenstein 2000 where the Nazis perfect FTL technology and you play as BJ's Trans Grandchild trying to destroy the blueprints so Nazism never escapes the solar system?

I like how a game starring two 18 year old siblings only has the one porn pic. Goes to show how little people give a fuck.

I cannot believe that we are in a world where there is a AAA video game featuring twin sisters and there isn't any rule 34 about it

I'm not surprised, given how charming they are. When you've got the disposition and personality of a bloodthirsty psychopath mixed with an unfiltered fraternity douchebag, who the hell's going to want to listen to you for hours, let alone take the time to make rule 34 of you?

There are still people who find Max and Chloe from Life Is Strange interesting enough to fap to

Spec Ops wasn't really as political as it was more "PTSD and War kind of suck" which, yep, they do. It atleast had some class with how it told the story. This just looks like "Tumblr made a CoD Clone II: Grrl"
>Spec Ops: The Line
>Class

Besides the scene where they force you to use the WP and then blame the character and/or player despite there being no dan option B then yes it did have grace (That was such bullshit it still piss off years later)

It's supposed to be 1980 in a dark timeline universe, but at least one of the twins has a 2019 genderqueer haircut. They also look like they're doing well for themselves despite Hitler's army chilling in cyberpunk Paris. B.J.'s girls even found a quirky nerd girl PoC to hang out with.

I'm guessing I missed established continuity here. I haven't played any Wolfenstein other than the '92 one. Back then it was pretty simple. You were B.J. Blazkowicz, the Allies' most valuable human tank, and your job was to stop the Actual Literal Nazis from engineering undead soldiers. Later you fought a minigun mech suit Hitler. The enemies were cartoonish Nazis because nobody likes Nazis—by Nazis I mean the kind in brown shirts that Jake and Elwood ran off a bridge. None of this was meant to be political at all; the id guys simply had boyish imaginations.

In 2019, 'Nazis' are people who don't think small children should have sex changes. This comes off like a VR game where troons can pick up guns and pretend they're fighting members of Trump's cabinet. Maybe it's the woke subtext, or maybe I miss first-person shooters skipping to the part where you're thrown into the thick of it. I'm just not sold on the cussin' millennial time travel girls.

Well i got bad news that was mentionned, in the continuity this shit happen in the game makers killed Hitler offscreen between New Colossus and this one (yeah it was B.J. Blazkowicz but we can't have people either kill Hitler in A FUCKING WOLFENSTEIN GAME without a game over happenin (New Colossus ) or have him in aby way, shape or form be the end boss of a WOLFENSTEIN game). Yeah i'm not happy with what they did
