An extreme one? I'd feel bad about it, but if it's one of the ones that haven't showered in a year or two, I'd have to leave the room. Sensitivity to smells + sensitive gag reflex = not gonna work out.

If it's a wizard who showers but is extreme in all the other aspects of wizarddom, I'd try to reach out to him, talk about vidya or animu or whatever common interest we might have. But if he ends up completely shutting me out I'd just leave him be.

I appreciate that people are kindhearted and want to help these people out, but I'd strongly advise against it. They aren't wizards because life dealt them a crappy hand and they don't know what to do, they have chosen this life for themselves and want the world to adapt to them and not the other way around.

In other words, these people are like OPL. Trying to help them is like talking to a wall.

Yeah, this. I don't know that there's much you can do to help someone that willingly goes to a forum like that as opposed to... I don't know, anywhere else.

These aren't just people who are out of step with society. They're people who seem to think that society owes them something.

A lot of them also seem to have weird mindsets towards women, so they'd likely either shut you out or creep on you, Hima. Maybe not all of them, but...

Well, you can do that, but I've had conversations that lasted less than 5 minutes that were extremely unpleasant, and you know any conversation with a wizard will be unpleasant.

Don't bother, I've already tried talking to them a few times. They'll either whine and cry about how much life sucks and all their usual bullcrap,or they'll act like a complete dick to you because they think you're a normalfag.

It's just... these are just people who take pride in not being "normalfags". I, personally, would probably have a lot in common with an average wizard - and I don't think I could break through that mindset. Not in a single meeting. They seem to be too deep into it. Hell, Chris seems to be more socially adjusted then they are, judging by a lot of their topics.
