I had Chardonnay last night for the first time in years. It was okay.

I was having a bit of a rough day and found this at the supermarket:
barefoot-strawberry-moscato.png

It's definitely a $6.99 bottle of a stereotypical young female's choice of sugar wine, as all Barefoot drinks are.

But it's not bad for what it is. It tastes like strawberry soda, essentially. It's cheap but I can't say it's bad "wine" at all.

I was originally coming in here to see if anyone had any good recommendations for Chablis that won't break the bank and saw this gem...

🤢 🤮
I don't blame you, I'm not an alcoholic but I kinda have shit taste. I go for the sugary girly stuff instead of actual wine, the fruity mixers and whatnot.

The only wine I really drink is some shit that I made.

I personally dislike how it tastes but my mother really liked it - The primary ingredient are these giant things of super sugary grape juice that Sam's Club sells.

If you can splurge, I find that Moet satisfies a sweet tooth most of the time. It's very peach/apricot and smooth instead of the lemon/wet dog/vomit notes found in a lot of bubbly.

I'm not ashamed of having girly taste, but honey please love yourself and just drink a decent prosecco instead of this mess
Prosecco is good, I'll step my game up next time I go shopping. Leave it to KiwiFarms to remind me that I deserve better sometimes.

I've actually never heard of Moet, I'll keep an eye out for some! It sounds delicious!

Erath is now $17.99 a bottle. Was my go to Pinot for years. Fuck man. I can justify it a few times a week at 12.99, not 17.99. Any suggestions for west coast pinos under 15 that aren't shit?

A beverage I see mostly old people purchase but they evidently have good taste. When you mix it with tonic water it tastes like beer.

I've got a lot of wine/mead sitting around. I mostly drink beer but if I see something that catches my eye I'll add it to the hoard. Plum wine with whole plums in it, green chile wine, bottom shelf shit that's on sale. It's a bad habit because I rarely ever open any.

Drinking some vinho verde tonight. Got that little bit of fizziness and it's not too terribly sweet. Bit of a pain in the ass to get here so I snap up a case whenever I spot it on sale in my wine merchant group on wechat. Deeerishous. Turning into more of a wine snob lately since I found that wechat group, they sell a good variety of stuff every weekday and have cheap delivery across mainland China. I've got a chateauneuf du pape from 2016, a crozes hermitage from 2019, and a bandol also from 2019 hanging out on the shelf. I've been trying to clear off my shelf over the past 3 weeks since I had a bunch of easy drinking reds don't want to be a bottle every night kinda fella, but I hesitated when I got to the expensive stuff. The Bandol is the only one I haven't tried before, pretty excited to get to it

Red wine is the devil's blood. I steer clear of it.

I like some white wines, especially Tokaji aszu. Chardonnay is garbage however. There are also some Italian white wines that I like, like the Orvieto Classico.

Tonight drank some Botter Prosecco
And some cheap Malbec. Tarani makes a wonderful cheap malbec, tarani is a great bottle for easy table wine that won't embarrass you
in the afternoon had some Radlers with homemade lemonade and schwarzbier

what? i just got a bottle for 2€ and will make muled wine out of it.
why is wine so expensive in the US? dont they know that you should drink 2 bottles of red wine to help your heart?

I got drunk on white wine as a lot as a teenager because it was easiest to procure without an ID and it reminds me of throwing up so I hate it now. I also don't like the type of drunk I get from wine in general. The only time I drink wine is in a cocktail like a mimosa or sangria but I prefer drinking beer or certain kinds of spirits which put me in a good mood.

Is three glasses a day too much?
Borderline. Knock it down to 2, and make at least 1 glass a red wine (for your heart).

2-3, 6-8oz glasses seems ok for a healthy person. As long as you aren't diabetic, on psychodrugs, or obese
