Will Japanese men ever tire of drawing oversexualized school girls and will it happen in our lifetimes?

If it ever dies they'll probably just make the same type of cartoons but in Korea/China. Start dusting off that Little Red Book, guys, otherwise you won't understand the references

Anime is the avatar of a motif of existence. You can't kill anime any more than you can kill the concepts of beauty or hierarchy.

At the rate we're going anything Chinese will be nuked off the face of the western internet (lowercase i) so you better be prepared to redeem some Motu Patlu

Unlikely for our lifetime, but it will die when, and not if, everything is moved to head chips and virtual spaces.

It may resurge as neo-anime or islam-anime or anything like that though.

But... you guys all know what would take its place would be Skibidi toilet, right? Right?

I can't imagine animation going away entirely if we're still around and still have the technology to do it, just like how when Hollywood collapses films will still be made or if a second video game crash happens people won't abandon interactive media, but the problem is unlike what otaku weebs tell you anime is not a medium. It isn't a genre either, more like an artstyle, and styles can go out of fashion quick. It seems Japanese studios are getting paid a lot to do "anime" based on western media nowadays, so I imagine if anything kills off anime within the forseeable future it would probably be getting netflixified and turned into big mouth schlock based off of what streaming service data robots says people like about anime.
