What the FUCK
Web bloat and its consequences have been a disaster for internet users We're transferring vast sums of information, enough to fit entire books, to deliver small webpages with absurd amounts of useless extra bits.

That's why pages like UESP (Unofficial Elder Scrolls Page) runs more fine than the shitty fandom one.
unrelated to performance issues but the USEP is so fucking comfy in comparison to FANDOM, everything just feels so artificial and fake and i constantly get the feeling that some shady salesman is trying to sell me something whenever I look at the shit they promote at the bottom of Wikia pages.

DoomWiki's another good one. It's got a nice, readable design and it's to the point. It's shocking how much better it runs than the fandom site. Even beyond the clean interface, the DoomWiki itself is just plain better in every way.

You need only compare the DoomWiki's article on Doomguy with the Fandom's and it's night and day.

This is short, to the point, and lays out everything in a clear, digestible manner. Everything that's here is what you see in the games. There's no bullshit fan theories or speculation, it's just all the info you need regarding the Doomguy as he appears from game to game.

Meanwhile, the Fandom article is a goddamn mess.

It's ungodly long for a character who lacked a personality or even history for much of his existence and is bloated by unnecessary fan theories regarding his history between games and speculation about the connective tissue of the Doom storyline. It's not so much informative as much as it is autistic fan rambling. There are entire sections that are outright pointless, like a list of the different titles and nicknames the Doomguy has.

The reason why the Wikia version is such a mess is because the network, as an whole, usually shows up before anything else that's dedicated to the franchise. While the quality can vary widely, the privately owned sites don't have to worry about an overlord declaring the Doom Guy is actually a transman when they don't have a stake in the issue.

This was apparently brought up by @NerdShamer , but Crappy Games Wiki is a wiki that documents bad games. The whole point of it is to review and document awful games. Apparently, a bunch of Animal Jam spergs reported the website for having a page up for Animal Jam, and it got taken down by Wikia for violating rules... somehow? Apparently it's probably because they host content that may not be considered appropriate, yet Vocaloid Lyrics wiki is still up, and some of the songs that have pages contain questionable or explicit lyrics or themes. Granted, they aren't allowed to post some of the lyrics up and have to link off-site, but it's still there regardless.

Oh, did I mention spergs? Well, there's spergs on both sides of the spectrum here. There's the spergs who got mad because someone called their favorite video game bad, and then there's the spergs of Crappy Games Wiki itself.
It's less about criticizing the game itself, and moreso listing "negatives", and occasionally "positives".

First off, the whole point of this game was to offend people, so listing it as one of the game's flaws is kind of missing the point. The last point is what gets me the most, though. Apparently, being a parody of Farming Simulator means that the creator was trying to... steal it? Steal what? The title logo? The game itself?

The way they speak and the fact that they add "-ery" and "-ness" to words like "edgy" and "wingnut" makes me think none of them are above the age of 13. Also, calling for something that offends you to be banned is a little much.
There's also sister websites to the Crappy Games Wiki; There's the Awesome Games Wiki, the Cancelled Games wiki, and even a few other websites not related to video games, like Rotten Websites, Awful Movies, and Terrible TV Shows Wikis, each with their respective "positive" counterparts. All equally just as autistic.

Could you guess which websites would be under the label as terrifying as "homophobic"?

If you guessed some random website about sharing pixel art, you're correct! But could you guess the reason why?

It's because people are mean and draw swastikas!
:story:
If you've noticed, in the Rotten Websites Wiki, unlike it's other sister websites, they tend to bring up specific individuals like "Nico-Acevedo" or other trolls they run into, in an attempt to gather a personal army against them. It's really just an excuse to write up a personal army against people who are mean to them.

Suprisingly, they don't have a page on KiwiFarms calling us transphobes yet, but that's what I got for now.

Yeah, the thing with Wikia and lyrics is that they're trying to keep it "kid-friendly," despite the fact that this is what teens are listening to, nowadays.

But hey, if the owners want to be prudes, let them be prudes.

So anyways, Miraheze is essentially a refuge for Wikis that have been closed by Wikia and most of these falls under Wikia's policies of harassment and hate speech. Plus, they want to maintain a positive atmosphere for the oppressed trannies, over there.

As far as the crappy wikis goes, it ranges from being reasonable to being a....

But all things considered, Miraheze doesn't get as much traffic as Wikia does, and it'll stay that way unless the staff of Wikia starts an massive banwave over something retarded.

There are quite a few non-offensive wikis there that are just there because they don't care to use Wikia crappy website setup and/or deal with their crappy organization and management, like All the Tropes. A lot of independent wikis in general are basically independent for the same reasons, with many having started on Wikia and migrating over for those reasons, not for any disciplinary issues.

I'm surprised that Rotten Websites Wiki doesn't have a Kiwifarms entry. You'd think that the forum that harasses exceptional people would have a rather vitriolic entry, but nooo. There's one for miiverse, though.
Aaand there's no deviantart entry, what a joke.

Well, we've pissed off a few Wikia spergs. But Miraheze isn't exactly as famous as ED or it's actual competitors.

Well this is certainly the most assburger-ridden userpage I've ever read.
soyjakpoint.jpg I'm a writer, a weeb, a pixel artist, and... kinda dumb to be honest. No one will ever read this You can call me Spidey or Hostess, or whatever. Just don't call me late for supper I'm most active on the Marvel wiki, though I go on other wikis sometimes Current Mains: (Ssbu) Pichu Roy Cloud (Ssb4) (retired) Dark Pit Charizard Kirby Guys I'm not cringe I promise (maybe) "Gooey Cheese!" -Spider-Man, 1970 something SPONSORED BY KFC (eat it or your family will not be safe) One time a Furry called me part of her kin. I have no clue what that means I am a person definitely Stardew Valley is the best game ever
