Why not a nice pheasant? Perhaps a roast duck, or plump goose?

I think I'm going to partially smoke and then roast a turkey next year because it's probably been close to a decade since I made one. A well cooked turkey can be good, but that's it's peak potential. Lamb roast, prime rib, pork chops, veal, the list goes on and on of holiday meals that should be made instead of ham and turkey unless you cooking for a large group. That shit get's expensive.Eat whatever the fuck kind of bird you want for Thanksgiving as long as it's not some putrid vegan tofurkey abomination. Turkey isn't even really that good imho.
I'd like to try those, would need some gravy for dipping.
Cook it the right way and it can be great. Brined for roasting it, or maybe smoked.Turkey isn't even really that good imho.
